“I’ve now catered from here twice, and both experiences were excellent. Our large orders were prepared perfectly and included meatballs, penne vodka, chicken francese, eggplant parm, Mediterranean orzo salad, a cheese antipasto platter, and a variety of sandwich platters. Everything was ready on time, packaged nicely, and enjoyed by everyone. Beyond the catering, the Nutley Sandwich and the daily made mozzarella are delicious. “Are you looking for fresh, homemade pasta? This is your place. I had the chicken ragu over campanelle. It was so light and delicious. The ragu tasted like it was cooked for hours, chicken and carrot pieces in every bite. The rosemary Focaccia, was like I made it myself, light and fluffy with just the right amount of everything!
We ended are visit with some pretty amazing homemade choc chip cookie gelato sandwiches rolled in Oreo. Wow!
You can order and sit at bar, outside tables, or grab yours to go. Porta Rossa Pasta has so many homemade sauces and fresh delectables you have to check it out. Don't miss this little gem, hidden in Maplewood, NJ.“

“Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.“

“Insanely delicious cheese ravioli. Like seriously it might be the best cheese ravioli I have ever had. That filling oh my gosh. I could eat them every day and never get sick of it. Highly recommend you try them. Rigatoni was good too but the ravioli pleaseeeee get them!! They are also on too good to go!“

“Very delicious pastas. We both got a fettucine Neapolitan tomato Bolognese and fettucine chicken alfredo. The portions are generous and fairly priced. The area is a nice touch as well especially at night. The pastas were well seasoned and very filling. Will get from here again.“

“This is an anomaly of a business. Nothing like it, at least in a very large radius. The ingredients are 100% authentic and you can tell they’re doing this because they love it. Place is slammed for the few days it’s open (except Fridays 😉) and the service never feels overwhelmed. You might wait but when it’s your turn, it’s like you’re the first customer. Anyone who rates this place poorly needs to take a long walk through a desert.“

“My daughter and I came here on our way back home from American dream and we are so glad we did. The alfredo pasta with chicken was superb! Much better than I’ve had at other spots for 50% higher prices.

We also got the pizza with the three different sauces (marinara, pesto, and something else) and the pasta filled me up so we got it to go and had it the next day. I don’t know if the pizza tastes better when reheated the next day, or if it normally tastes like that, but the pizza was excellent. Not too thick, not too thin, just right! We’ll be making more trips after our mall runs 🤤“

“The food here it’s supper healthy, I would de finally come back. The amazing thing is that food it’s already ready and you don’t have to wait long. It’s in and out. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

Absolutely amazing experience at Slice & Co!

From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was top-tier. The staff and owner were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the pizza was outstanding — perfect crust, great flavor, and every bite was just right.

At the end of our visit, the owner introduced us to their freshly made house zeppoles, and they were so good we had to order some immediately. That extra touch really made the experience special.

This was our first visit, but we’ve already been back again and were met with the same great food and service. We’re definitely making this our new local go-to spot.

“Excellent service by Angel. The food was delicious, tasty and fresh. The warm bread and seasoned olive oil a welcoming treat. We had the fresh ravioli and chicken lemon dishes. A perfect ending to our meal with a warm brownie, vanilla ice cream to top off our meal.“

“Actually the food is very good. The old owner was very bad in dealing but now with the new owner the dealing is great and the service is good. Also the delivery service of the restaurant is the best if you want to get the food as quickly as possible I do not recommend delivery companies. The honest driver in the restaurant is the best thing and if you do not like anything you will talk to him and he will bring you your order again as soon as possible. Thank you for your kindness“

“Only came to pick up their version of smash burgers and was pleasantly surprised to find out how popular their pizza is. (Yes it's a pizza shop, but not MY pizza shop) The homemade cookies are worth coming in for but don't be surprised if they're gone.“
