“We had a wonderful birthday dinner. They had some cute birthday confetti on the table and a birthday card which was a nice touch. The dumplings, beet salad, scallops, brussel sprouts,and stuffed shrimp were all delicious! The drinks were great. Dessert selection was nice - the lemon tart was fantastic. Loved listening to the live jazz band which raised the bar for the atmosphere. Will definitely return. High class restaurant with high class service!“

It has a milder flavor compared to Katz's, which I actually prefer since it allowed me to finish the whole sandwich in one go. Katz's meat is so intensely flavorful that I usually need to take a break and cleanse my palate before I can finish later. This place is a fantastic alternative if you're in Jersey. The prices are reasonable, and the 8 oz option is perfect for satisfying your craving without breaking the bank. The Knish and macaroni salad were delicious as well. They give you delicious pickles. We’ll definitely be returning often. Update January 2026. Stopped by for some pastrami sandwiches. They are still delicious and worth every penny. Hot dog special this week, $2.00. They were flavorful with an awesome snap.“

The place was clean and the staff attentive (it was a Wednesday night).The bill, surprisingly, did not include gratuity or tip. You pay either by card (small charge additional) or cash. The "downsides" are: no parking lot for diners as you park on the sides of the Avenue. There is also no alcohol (wine, beer or cocktails) served. I will bring my family here and recommend to friends.“

“Our first time as we are visiting from out of town. Our server Cesar was so wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The food was phenomenal. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and had a charbroiled taste which we loved. We also had the Bavarian pretzels app special which was awesome!!!! Our drinks were also fantastic. “We had a great dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House. My wife and I shared the porterhouse for two, and it was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Our daughter had the crab cakes, which she loved. For sides, we ordered the creamed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes, and the lobster mac and cheese — and the mac and cheese was so big it honestly could have been a meal on its own! Everything was flavorful and served hot. We wrapped up the night with the crème brûlée, chocolate lava cake, and banana bread pudding — all fantastic and the perfect ending to a great meal. A special shoutout to Emily, our server, who was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. We'll definitely be back!“

“I came to Ruth’s Chris Steak House on April 18 for a 6 PM reserved dinner party. Overall, the experience was pretty smooth—service felt quick and getting seated was easy, which I appreciated for a group setting.

That said, the attentiveness could’ve been a bit better. Our waiter, Elizabeth (though the name tag said Kathleen), and the manager didn’t really check in on us throughout the meal as much as you’d expect at a place like this. It wasn’t terrible service, just not as engaging or attentive as it could’ve been.

Food-wise, my Lobster Mac & Cheese tasted really good at first. However, toward the end of the dish—literally the third-to-last bite—I found a large piece of lobster shell hidden in the food that I could’ve choked on. That was honestly concerning and took away from the experience.

One thing that also stood out was the condition of the space—there was a noticeable crack in the ceiling, and the dining area felt a bit too open, which took away from the upscale, intimate vibe you usually expect from Ruth’s Chris.
