“We had our small wedding at Andre's this past weekend, and I am still in awe of how fantastic the event was. Tracey is an all-star. From coordinating calls, decorating our table, marrying us, to keeping us on schedule. Andre had our whole group raving about how great the food was. From the appetizers to the cake, we really couldn't have asked for better. On top of it all, the location is STUNNING! The staff helping to serve us were so friendly and pleasant and together they all helped make sure our wedding day was the best day of our life. I can't recommend Andre's enough, and we will certainly be returning for a meal!“

“We took our 3yo and 7yo boys here for lunch today and everything was fab - super cute decor, oldies playing, a couple of the games for the kids to play while we waited for our food. The guys working (I think maybe the owners?) had such nice energy and could not have been warmer or more welcoming. The boys were excited to play an old-fashioned roulette style game with the owner, and they each got to pick a little prize. I love details like that - when kids feel like they belong somewhere, it’s just a better experience for everyone! And the food! My husband ordered the double Doo Wop burger and I ordered a single Greek burger and both were delicious! We also split disco fries - I thought they were great and better than diner disco fries because they weren’t as salty. Our sons both got a kids grilled cheese which they devoured - our 7yo said the whole experience was “10/10” and that it was the “awesomest place ever!” They are already asking when we can go back with their older sister - and we WILL be back to try the ice cream!“

“I always have a great experience at Mohawk Restaurant. Every time I visit, I’m never disappointed. The menu isn’t huge, but everything is fresh, delicious, and made perfectly. The service is always friendly and attentive without being too much, and I love the classy vibe — soft music and a cozy atmosphere.

“My husband and I stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to eat that had an outdoor area( so glad we did) Once there ,we reviewed the menu , I explained to our waiter Cody that I am a pescatarian. He immediately recommended a few dishes that were not on the menu. I decided to go with one of his recommendation, the blackened shrimp tacos. They were delicious!! My husband had the blackened California wrap, which he raved about. Our waiter Cody even took the time to give us a bit of
history of the restaurant. If you are ever in the Denville area looking for a place to eat, do yourself a favor and check this place out! Make sure you ask for Cody to be your waiter!“

“My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there last night. I requested to dine in one of their rooms. We were escorted to a small room where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Our waitress, Ava, was awesome. We were given a small complementary bottle of Processo which was so nice! We have been there many times before and never had a bad meal. The vintage decor there is fabolous! Highly recommended.“

“Nice bar restaurant at the end of a round. We were there on a Wednesday and it was empty. We order BBQ knowing that it was not going to be fresh as the grills were not going. That said the brisket and pulled port were still good. The sweet potato fries were good as well. Little crispy. We both should have order the bbq souce on the side. Too much on for our taste but we should have asked. Great bar with a large selection of whiskey and bourbon. Service was great too. I would go back. Like to see how it is when it’s fresh.“

“TLDR: Top tier brisket. Nearly as good as Texas brisket and certainly best I have had in New Jersey thus far. The hidden restaurant in the middle of a garden is so quaint and peaceful, I recommend going for lunch or a cozy dinner. View of the surrounding hills is also amazing.

Quality of Food: I had no complaints about the food. The garden salad was refreshing and did not lack in its flavor. The brisket was AMAZING. If you look at my other reviews, you will find I am originally from the south and have frequented a few BBQ places in New Jersey, all of which have fallen short of what I have come to find as quality BBQ. This. Did. Not. Disappoint. The brisket was slightly marbled and melted in your mouth. I can only imagine the quality of the Rib Steak if the brisket was top notch. The cornbread was the only thing I could say was standard taste and quality.

Quality of Service: It was neither over-the top nor mediocre service. Seemed like a decent amount of young adults were waiting on tables. We stopped in for a quick bite before heading to a festival, but we had no issues getting our order taken, food delivered and check processed quickly.

Environment & Ambiance: Can't be compared to the other locations at the resort. The garden by itself is adorable and makes you feel like you're in a storybook. Looking out towards the hills provides a feeling of awe. The outside ambiance and cute tables and chairs makes you feel like you're joining Alice at a tea party.

Pricing and Concerns: It's certainly not cheap if you are ordering their higher priced options. However, that being said, it is most definitely worth every penny. Not to mention you're at a resort, so what would you expect besides expensive dishes? For a party of two you can keep it under $$$. Add drinks or an extra person and you're going over. No other concerns to note.

“My first time here and the food was great! The atmosphere inside is really nice and they play good music. The mushroom ravioli, charcuterie and lamb lollipop were all fantastic! We went at night on a cold day; but, we plan to go back in the summer or maybe lunch to catch views of the lake. I would definitely recommend!“

“Literally waited an hour and 15 minutes with a waitress who basically totally ignored us just to be told "oh, we ran out of country fried steak". 🤬 Needless to say we left. went to Pub 199 was waited on and served in 20 minutes when it is packed.“

“I have had two bridal showers at Portofino in Oak Ridge, and not only did everyone love the food, but Nancy and the entire staff is outstanding. They go above and beyond to help you in any capacity that they can. I highly recommend Portofino either for lunch, dinner or any kind of event you have whether it is big or small. You can't go wrong with Portofino, I can't say enough great things about the staff and restaurant!“

For food, I ordered steamed mussels, which came out perfectly cooked and delicious, and he had a burger that he enjoyed so much, he didn't put it down once. We also had the ribs for an appetizer, and they were by far some of the best ribs I've ever had!

“We held a high school graduation party for my daughters in our back yard for 75 guests. American BBQ staff Dominick and Sophie showed up as scheduled and did their setup in the space we had reserved for them. Dominick proceeded to fire up the charcoal and then knocked it out of the park shortly thereafter. We went with the American BBQ menu and our guests ate to their heart’s content. Under the tent they provided, Sophie provided impeccable service to our guests as they came up for food ensuring all the essentials were readily available. She also cracked the whip on Dominick to keep the food coming at a steady pace. When time was up, they cleaned up, packed up and disappeared like they were never there. Every single one of our guests gave us positive feedback on the catering and now I’m passing that along to all who may be considering hiring this company“

“Came for dinner with another couple. The tapas eggplant was delicious, light and flavorful. Just lovely. We had two burgers and two steaks. All delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful, however, there is a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant. Which normally would not be an issue but this evening four young women were “working” the older men sitting at the bar. It became clear as the evening progressed that this was going on. None of us could believe what was happening right next to our table!! As the targeted men left the bar the young women quickly moved on to their next victims. It was all very obvious and pretty repulsive. Such a shame to have this type of thing happening in a lovely restaurant. I would hope management will be alerted by the bartenders that their establishment has become prey for this type of behavior. Quite unsettling.“

“Brian is a gem, great service and Drinks. Some of the other should take tips from him, not as good but overall service and food is very good. There should be uniformity in cooking, for example the pastrami sloppy joe has been in 2 pcs ,grilled and other times it's 3 pcs toasted, other times it's not grilled or tosted and served sandwich style, 2 pcs. White bread!! Great food and drinks overall, no matter how it's served. Try them and you'll become a regular patron!!

“Simply put, Charley's is the best outdoor hangout spot on/around Lake Hopatcong! Rented the Game Room Bar for a social with family and friends, and I honestly can't recommend it enough! The food was hot and delicious, awesome drinks, fantastic live music, yard games, and first-class people! The team of Amanda Lear, Amanda ODonnell Braico and Andrea were outstanding! Provided excellent professional, friendly service to make sure all of my guests were comfortable the entire evening. Lots of menu options to choose from on the catering menu (the wings are a must!) as well as flexible bar pricing packages to fit any occasion. It's truly a welcoming place that is always on my short list of options for a quick cold one, lunch or heck the whole evening! I'm already looking forward to the next Game Room social!
