We also shared a seasonal pasta with ramps, morels, peas, and asparagus, and got the chocolate mousse cake and gelato for dessert, which were heavenly. Cozy with well dressed wait staff and old world decor. The food tells the story here. I have eating there since college. I took my dates there when I was 18. I go for the food. Delicious is the keyword. Savory tomato sauces, tender meats and exquisite desserts if you have the room after eating your meal. On my recent visit I had pasta fagoli and a side of roasted peppers and provolone to start and their homemade lasagna for the main course. Everything was scrumptious. Even though I was bordering on I can't eat another bite I had the tiramisu for dessert. I couldn't resist. Dante and Luigi is easily my favorite Italian restaurant and a cut about the rest.“

So delicious eaten taco-style with a just-right hot sauce. My wife had a shrimp dish in mildly spicy tomato sauce and side salad, also delicious. FOOD I love a good piece of focaccia! Another contributor commented that their pizza can be likened to focaccia which I would find to be incredibly accurate. The "Detroit" style was incredibly flavorful accompanied by a heaping of toppings(I settled on the "I'm A Boss"). I will admit the fries left a bit much to be desired but not enough to influence my rating. If you're based anywhere in North Philly between Farimount and Erie Ave, I can confidently say Down North is among the top three picks for the area. Happy eating!“
