“This place has been my go-to Chinese spot to get food from the foods pretty good the service there is great the ladies that take your order are very sweet very genuine and they always make you laugh. Me and my family have been ordering here for I don't know how long but it's our go-to spot, the food portions are good and the prices for most things are fair.“

“A small takeout Chinese eatery with a fairly standard menu selection bearing high average prices. Hong Kong Express serves americanized Chinese fare. Set in a small strip mall, there seems to be adequate parking. Upon entering, the first impression is clean. Featuring newer furnishings, decor and construction. As a child took my order and payment, this is clearly a family business.
So I've only had one dish at this place. I can say for freshness of ingredients, it's excellent. For amount of meat added, average. Unfortunately my dish was extremely bland. I had to add 7 packets of various sauce and that was still not enough. As I make this dish at home, the main sauce is soy. I wish I had grabbed more.
Speaking of sauce, no sauce, forks, chopsticks or napkins were added or offered. I'm glad I checked and added on my own.
This business succeeds in 2 major ways most other Chinese places don't (freshness and cleanliness). I hope I just caught an off dish. I'd return, but until I had a better dish, I wouldn't recommend.“

“This is my favorite American-Chinese takeout spot in NJ! The owners are very nice, the food comes out quick, and the quality is good. I've tried other Chinese takeout places in the area, and China Wok is the only one that I've been satisfied with. I love their Crab Rangoon and like to get Beef Chow Fun. All their dishes taste good for the price. It's a nice local spot to order from when you're looking for American-Chinese takeout!“

“I drive out of my way to come here. Big chunks of chicken with a thin coating. Chicken fried rice has huge pieces of chicken, but needed a little more flavor. The egg and shrimp rolls have a good amount of flavor. Ordered the Singapore noodle and it had sugar added and what seemed to be cinnamon, so ask for ingredients before ordering. Clean, takeout only right now.“

“I’ve been eating at this place for a while. It’s pretty good standard Chinese food oh and the sushi is always good. The reason I’m writing this review is because of their delivery driver. An older gentleman came to my door with a smile very friendly. After he handed me the bag he extended his hand for a hand shake and said happy new year. “Had to drive over 45 minutes to get to this place. I’m giving this a 5 star because this is probably the best fish soup you are going to get in NJ. There are however much better places for this in Flushing Queens which would be double the driving time for me. The fish soup is good. Not the best. For the best, my go to place is still this place called Fish With You in Flushing. Give this place a try! Everything is good.

Update: had the comb for 2. The fish came under flavored. Needed some time to marinade in the soup. After it was better. We got the fried pork belly which is good. But can’t have too much because it is heavy. The glutinous cubes were fried so it was crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. The syrup is used to dip and it serves as a good dessert to finish the meal off.“

“Randomly found this place after food shopping one night and its officially our fav spot ! They open late til 1230am ! Jay and his staff members are very welcoming and friendly. “I took my fiance here this past weekend and we had a great time. We got to pick which vegetables, meats, tofu we liked, which were all fresh. And then we pick the broth and pay. The Mala Tang in the end was delicious. The broth was very flavorful and aromatic and the meats, vegetables and tofu tasted superb!“

“I ordered the Sweet and Sour Squirrel Bass and Shanghai Smoked Fish. The smoked fish tasted so authentic — just like what I had in Suzhou! Perfectly marinated, flavorful, and not greasy at all. “Love ordering from this place! You get free appetizer item if you pay cash. Really only for take away or delivery don’t think there’s much in dining. I’ve been getting delivery for almost 15 years now. But staff nice. They forgot our edamame once n drove back out to drop off. The sushi n bento boxes are really good n fresh. Thai good n best spring rolls ever. Little pricey but good quality. Haven’t tried much of Chinese menu they have.“

“This is the only place I feel safe ordering in from as someone with food allergies. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and they are so accommodating with the dishes. You get big portions for a good price and the food is always so fresh. I also have a super stomach with some problems so I always feel icky eating out and since the food is cooked in high quality oil I never feel icky after eating here which is SO rare for me. The owner is incredibly kind and told me how she also has food allergies and is happy to make modifications and help. It’s so rare that restaurants welcome modifications and she always does so for me. I’ve never gotten sick here and it’s the one restaurant I feel comfortable ordering in from and look forward to doing so every week. The entire staff is helpful and are always kind and respectful even when the phone is ringing like crazy and there’s a line for pick up. They never rush you and always make you feel welcome. Recommended dishes:
Free-range chicken (a classic of Hunan cuisine, the chicken is delicious when killed alive), sizzling squid (not fishy at all, with the aroma of barbecue), dry-pot beef brisket (not too bad, not chewy, just the right texture), smoked bamboo shoots and beef rice noodles (freshly fried toppings, full of pot flavor, personally ranked first in the Edison rice noodle category)“

“The Chinese restaurant we used for years recently changed owners, and was not to our liking anymore. This was our first time ordering here and we were very pleased. I placed an order online and was it was delivered 20 minutes early. We ordered the kung pao chicken (extra spicy) combo, sesames chicken combo and wonton soup. All were tasty and fresh. We found our new Chinese restaurant. Can't wait to try some of the other dishes.“

“Surprising we hadn’t tried this place all these years living here as it was a lovely lunch we recently had.

Famous Freddy served us and treated us like long lost friends even though it was our first time. Table service is nice with tablecloths and a nice decor. Our special requests were accommodated and Freddy regaled us with lively conversation.

We enjoyed the cold sesame noodles, the sauce a little on the loose side for my taste but it was fine otherwise. Vegetable Lo Mein was as expected and the General Tso’s tofu was also very good. I prefer a different style for the sauce(darker/spicier) and tofu(firm ripped pieces vs soft cubes) but I’ve had this style before as well and it’s fine.

Addl hot sauce was provided and overall we enjoyed the meal.“

“The only negative I have (and it’s a big one and has happened 4-5 times now), I order no onion in my pepper steak and they add a $2 extra meat fee. I didn’t ask for extra meat to compensate for lack of veggies , and I don’t like it added without it being acknowledged or even approved/denied.. really not okay with that decision being made without my knowledge of it and will say something next time..

However when it comes to the food? Do it. Our usual orders are a some kind of mix of chicken&broccoli, pepper steak, boneless ribs, sesame chicken, fried wontons… everything has been great every time. One of the “better “ meats when it comes to both the chicken and the beef.. delivery is uncomfortably fast at times lol. Prices are average to anywhere else around here but the portions are great. Would definitely reccomend.“

“My husband and I are pretty picky when it comes to Chinese food and Panda House satisfies every time.

We are a huge fan of their homemade dumplings. I would say the dumplings are some of the best in the area. The owners are really kind and friendly too!!“

Our family went there for dinner and ended up having a great time. We highly recommend Traditional sweet sour fried pork, classic fried mushroom, fried lamb skewer, and the noodle soup.

My kids love the sausage fried rice so much that they were fighting for it. LOL.

We came in late but the waitress was so friendly and nice to us. We really appreciate the hospitality they offered and will certainly come back next time when we are close by.

And that means another night I didn't get to go to my regular place.\n\nTonight, we did take out from a place in Sayreville, NJ called New Lams Garden. One of the things about living in this area is that there's no shortage of great places to pick up a meal and this absolutely applies to Chinese food. \n\nLams is a little bit further out than my regular place but the quality here may make me want to travel the extra miles. \n\nI ordered Beef and Bean Curd with a pork egg roll and got in on a few steamed pork dumplings too. \n\nThe Beef and Bean Curd was perfectly cooked. The vegetables they used were all cooked perfectly. They were all drenched in a delectable brown sauce and snapped when you bit them. The egg roll was a bit greasy but more meaty than the ones that are usually available in this area. Appreciated! And the dumplings are clearly the ones are prepared on site and not just bought from a wholesaler. And I LOVE that. \n\nMy daughter ordered chicken lo mein. You can just tell by the color of the dish how awesome it tasted. \n\nSo yes I still have a solid Chinese place that I will return to and review. But in the mean time, New Lams Garden is more than just an adequate substitute. \n\nPoints were deducted for clunky website with no ability to order online.\n\nOverall Rating: A-\n\nPS--- best thing about Chinese food is LEFTOVERS! I will enjoy this meal at least twice more in the coming days.“

“I think I found my favorite Asian seafood spot in the area. I am absolutely in love with their crab roe specialty ! You have the choice of with white rice or noodles. I chose rice with the crab roe and later one decided to get an order to go with the noodles. The crab roe is to die for ! So much flavorful and deliciousness.
