“Everything was absolutely perfect, from the service to the deliciousness of the food (Chilean sea bass was outstanding, the lamb chops special was superb and the grilled octupus was perfectly tender). The only mention I have and it's seriously not a big deal was the dining room that we were seated in was a bit too dark I actually had to turn my flashlight on my phone to see. On a scale of 1-10 I give it an 11 !!“

“As charming as the bakery is, it pales in comparison to Miss Eleanor, the owner. Over the past several years I developed a sensitivity to wheat, so I wanted a gluten-free snack. She had a wide selection of sweets (cupcakes, cookies, brownies) but I saw the picture of biscuits and quickly decided to enjoy them with my coffee.

I took Ms Eleanor up on her offer to warm them up and chatted while waiting for my order to be complete. We had a lovely conversation about so many things - food, travel, career changes.

The biscuits were delicious and very reasonably priced so I’ll have to make my way back soon.

“My sister and I got 2 bingsoos (black sesame and rice cake), a sweet potato latte, and a pistachio dacquoise. They were all very delicious and unique.
The sweet potato latte has a strong sweet potato taste, which satisfies the soul and the dacquoise was very soft and chewy. The bingsoos was also very unique. It kind of had a dry(?) flake to it, but I liked the texture of it. I do wish there was more red bean in it, but it still hit the spot.

Before I speak with Cristal, I had reached out to other well known bakeries in the area, all of which said that they won’t be able to make the cake I’m asking for. There was no line and I quickly received my to-go order. The ham, egg, and cheese croissant was delicious- fluffy and flaky, not at all greasy, and the perfect cheese pull. “I am a small streamer that does a 12 days of christmas special every year. i ordered the 8 pack combo box with 8 different brownies in it for one of those stream days as a test taste style stream. I was thoroughly impressed by the packaging and how organized all of the brownies were, and i was even more impressed by how all of them tasted. i had a couple friends try them as well and were equally impressed by the overall quality of the brownies, how different each flavor was so that you could not mistake one flavor for another. the chocolate cherry was my personal favorite, while the snickerdoodle was my friends personal favorite. none of them were bad by any means (unless you arent a coffee fan with the espresso roast flavor). overall 10/10 brownies. will be purchasing again.“

“I’m from Texas and wanted to look at local bakeries as a sweets lover. They have a ton of selection of specifically bread and this pastry I’m not sure what the name was, but it was bready! Brownies, cookies, full cake and slices.

Not sure where the $30-$50 price comes from - I tried to Oreo cake for $3.50, and they gave us a huge slice. It wasn’t too sweet and had wonderful flavors and textures. It was so good that I went back the next day to bring some back home, and they were super sweet and gave us an extra slice. 10/10, beautiful cakes, super affordable!“

I called a 11 ice cream cake shops in the area only to be told that it was impossible without the right mold. One place even asked me to order a mold for them and they would see if they could make the cake but wanted to charge double for the effort. I randomly found this Carvel in Hackensack and after explaining what I wanted, one of the staff members brainstormed ways to make the cake come to life.
