I drove twice in 2 days to grab cupcakes and cookies… I cannot say what’s my favourite out of the cupcake, the brownies, the cookies etc because everything was decadent and not too sweet. You taste the quality of the ingredients and the love they put while cooking them. The fact that Carrie was answering me while the business is close is a sign that she’s passionate and that she care about her client. They’re on the expensive side compared to other bakery, but once you compare you understand why… You taste the butter in everything! “Don’t be fooled by the smallness of the place. The breakfast sandwiches are some of the tastiest I’ve ever had. I was looking to order a cake for a birthday, and I was impressed by their photos on Instagram as well as the flavor of the slices they had for sale (one of which I received as a gift). I provided a picture of what I wanted and they did not disappoint! Besides looking beautiful, the cake was moist and flavorful, even days later. Highly recommended!“

Steph did a fantastic job, the cake was delicious and we ordered cupcakes in another flavor to accompany the cake. I had sent her some ideas and photos and she went above and beyond. I called a 11 ice cream cake shops in the area only to be told that it was impossible without the right mold. One place even asked me to order a mold for them and they would see if they could make the cake but wanted to charge double for the effort. I randomly found this Carvel in Hackensack and after explaining what I wanted, one of the staff members brainstormed ways to make the cake come to life. I sent them a picture and out came the best rocket ship ice cream cake that anyone had ever eaten! The cake looked beautiful, tasted delicious and most importantly, my child was super happy. I will always place cake orders with you guys!“

I only order cakes from this location because their decorator is always on point when it comes to designing. My son loved his cake and so did everyone else. I’ve learned to just give a theme to the decorator because they always do an amazing job and I have come to trust and appreciate their creativity. And while the Icecream is delicious, this post is to mainly reflect the greatness of the staff and especially the decorators.“

But for my 75th Birthday I wanted Valencia. My husband and I travel to the store on Burnside Ave. First I must say the man behind the counter was not very friendly. He sounded like we were boring him. I got a big cake, $40.00. It was not very well decorated but since it was for me, I dismissed it. The cake was super dry. Very little cream in the middle. I wanted pineapple but he did not have it in the size I wanted. The cake tasted like nothing I remember. It had no flavor!! What happened to that delicious, moist, flavorful cake I remember!!! SO SAD!!“
