“I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!”
“I wish I had visited this place sooner.
Bomdama Shabu Shabu offers fresh vegetables, a variety of flavorful broths, a customizable sauce bar, and delicious, fresh sushi — all in one place.
Since each person gets their own pot, it’s perfect for dining with friends or a group.
The restaurant is clean, and the green-themed interior creates such a pleasant atmosphere. As someone who absolutely loves shabu-shabu and hot pot, I’m so happy to have discovered Bomdama.
If you live near Palisades park, I highly recommend coming here with friends!”
“This place has a cozy atmosphere with amazing taste to go along with it! Service and attention was fantastic. Must try if you're in the area. I'd go broke eating their galbi for breakfast lunch and dinner. 🤤”
“I recently visited Donghae. and it was an amazing experience. The seafood is incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the dishes are beautifully presented. The staff are very friendly and attentive, making the whole meal enjoyable. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. I’ll definitely be coming back. highly recommend Donghae Susan if you love fresh seafood!”

“SB K-BBQ was recommended to me by a close friend, and it absolutely delivered. After visiting Seoul and Jeju this past April, my family and I had been craving authentic Korean BBQ—and this place brought us right back.
The quality of the meat is outstanding. The moksal (pork neck) and samgyeopsal (pork belly) are cut thick—just as thick, if not thicker, than what we had in Korea. Grilled over real charcoal, the flavor is rich and smoky, enhancing every bite.
They also offer perilla leaves for your ssam wraps, which is a detail I truly appreciate and rarely find at K-BBQ spots in the U.S.
Even though we live in Philadelphia and it’s over a 2-hour drive, we’ve already made the trip twice—that’s how good it is. If you’re craving a taste of Korea, SB K-BBQ is more than worth the journey. Highly recommended!”
“My fav hot pot spot in the area!
Good choices of veggies, workers add more and rotate them alot.
Employees are nice and helpful. The most notable for me is the Asian female, always see her helping with such a nice vibe. Hope her pillow is cold on both sides.
Never close or ill be so sad.”
“I went there by myself and order the grilled mackerel and seafood tofu soup combo. Everything tasted great. The seafood tofu soup was flavorful and not too spicy. I love the side dishes too. I wish I had a bigger stomach to finish everything. I saw other tables doing KBBQ, the meats seemed to be of high quality and offers table side service. The service staff were very attentive.”

“I stopped here on a whim driving home and I’m so glad I did. Super friendly workers who asked how I was while they were making my order and one even brought my bag of food to me as I was waiting by the front door.
We ordered the Chipotle Chicken and Chino’s Special subs to go (hero sizes). Both were incredible! The CC had a really nice kick to it and complimented the crispy chicken cutlet very well. Chino’s Special was my favorite - a messy sub with a generous helping of turkey meat with a runny egg.
My family of 3 wished we had more space in our stomachs to finish everything. The hero sized subs are large, and absolutely worth the price especially with similar restaurants charging the same, if not more, for a mediocre sub. We will be back for more!”
“This place is GREAT!
We were craving for some ttukbokki and kimbop, decided to try for a new place.
Their kimbop is delicious, great fillings and well seasoned seaweed.
Ttukbokki came out nice and hot. Rice cake was nicely cooked and seasoned. But come on, look at the boiled egg, it’s not one of those overcooked yolk!!
Ramyun and udon was also delicious, noodles were done jussssssst right. I will admit that I was a little thrown off by mixed greens on ramyun.
Donkatsu was one of the best as well. Pork was just the right amount of thickness and crispy.
I also don’t feel like crap after eating the food there, not over seasoned with high sodium or MSG.
People were also great there, highly highly recommend it!”

“I came here one night to try for dinner with a group of friends. I really enjoyed the noodles here! My friends ordered the clam soup with kalgusuk, and the noodles are at a perfect texture and the serving size was a lot. I would say good to share! I ordered the mandu soup with rice on the side, flavor was perfect! The fried dumplings was also nice, and it was great to share. Great kimchi as well!”

“The request was find the best pizza near our hotel. After comparing some reviews we headed to Urban Tomato. It’s in a neighborhood setting across from a church. The restaurant decor is simple but comfortable with a great hosts. We never felt cramped. The boys enjoyed a chicken pizza half garlic and half bbq drizzle and my wife and I enjoyed a fungi white pizza that was out of this world. I continue to say this, if g-d had given Jersey the water, their pizza would be king.”

“Probably one of the most underrated “hole in the wall” spots I’ve been to. Korean couple that owns it is extremely nice and cares about the quality and effort they put into their food. Ordered 4 special rolls and portions were much bigger than you’d expect. Salmon, eel, and tuna were very fresh”
“This restaurant takes your order like fast food, but with Korean food, and the system is so easy. The food comes out relatively quickly for Korean cuisine.
I always get the mul naengmyeon and pork combo, perfect for the summer.
The vibe is nice and quiet, and while it might get busy, people come in and out fast.”

“Awesome food, atmosphere and customer service! This was our second family visit. We had the BBQ both times and both times were great! The staff is so friendly and polite! They are very attentive while cooking and making sure you have the sides refilled. Wonderful authentic and cozy atmosphere. We absolutely love this place!”
“The Nagasaki Champon is our new favorite. My wife and I had a very pleasant Sunday dinner. Haven’t had a meal this good in a long time. We were supposed to have dinner here some few weeks ago but the Fort Lee-Pal Park traffic congestion gets really bad. Last time we were here was in 2021!!. Now we can’t wait to go back. We also had the Salmon Roll and Yakitori Chicken, Pork, Beef and Mushroom wrapped in Bacon.”
“The soy fried chicken and sweet/spicy chicken is so good! We got the regular tteokbokki and I like it better than a lot of the bunsik places on Broad Avenue! The service was a little off tbh, but the vibes and food were great! The liquor store is connected so you can buy your alcohol from the liquor store, no extra charge.”
“Yook92 is easily my favorite Korean BBQ spot in New Jersey. The quality of the meat is consistently excellent; well-marbled, flavorful, and always fresh. Whether it’s brisket, or marinated short ribs, everything is grilled to perfection.
The service here is also top-notch. Staff are attentive, friendly, and quick to assist with grilling or refills, which really elevates the whole dining experience. Beyond BBQ, their kitchen menu is worth exploring, especially the kimchi fried rice and galbitang, both of which are flavorful, comforting, and highly recommended.
From food to service, Yook92 delivers a standout Korean BBQ experience that keeps me coming back.”

“Very yummy! Came for a friends bday with a big group. Service was very kind and the food hit the spot :) Ordered the three different spice level and my favorite was the medium spice. Chicken to vegetable ratio was good and at the end we ordered fried rice and they gave it to us in a heart shape ❤️”
“Funky fusion. Korean-Japanese.
Exterior sublime. Interior long and few seats in front, mostly two seaters more in the back.
김밥, 떡볶이, 빙수. Will try coffee and others later.
떡볶이 with shoe string 오뎅 peculiar but works instead of usual 라면사리.
만두, 떡 two kinds - cheese inside and normal short ones. Overall ensemble works. Japanese cookware.
빙수 taste good. Like choice of 3 sizes. Small portion enough for 1.5.
츤데레 server. Attentive yet silent.”
“Me and my wife have been here over 30 times, I literally love the quality of the meat here.if you’re looking for good quality meat, good customer service, fast service. I highly recommend.”
“It’s been a while since I had Korean food, and everything was served so beautifully. I can’t believe I could enjoy octopus hotpot rice in the U.S.! Definitely want to come back again.”

“I CRAVE the food here. My friends and I took Uber from Manhattan to Fort Lee just so we can have the duck soup and the soy marinated crabs. It was beyond delicious. I had duck soup before and I had marinated crabs before, but here just tasted different. They were so good. The portion was amazing with the price.
Make sure you call first so they can prepare it beforehand.”
“Appreciation post😃 Since 4 days my freshly turned teenage daughter has been saying one thing when I ask her what you want to do on New Year’s Eve …” I want to have kudos bubble tea as the last thing I drink in 2022”. It’s been a tough few months for her and i wanted to make sure she gets her wish. So yesterday morning I called kudos. Asked when they will close for the day. They said 10pm. We scheduled all our plans in such a way that at 9pm we go and get the much anticipated bubble tea. At 9 my husband, son and daughter headed out to kudos… only to find that they have closed at 7 for a private event. This is my back story. On the other side of the story… which probably has its own back story… Cherie the owner had shut the bakery as her daughter wanted to celebrate with her friends and family. As a mother myself I can totally understand that. When she saw my family she informed them that they are closed. But when she heard we had called in morning and saw my daughters dejected face… she opened her doors. Made a quick bubble tea and even gave some extra cookies as a New Years treat. My kids came back so happy saying “mommy it was a holiday miracle!” Thank you Kudo Society Cafe. For providing us one last 2022 miracle. Thank you Cherie for understanding. We have been Kudos patrons since it was at palisades park but now we are die hard advocating neighbors of yours. Ps: pic of the cookie treat. My son ate the red velvet on way home.”
“This is a small catering business/food spot that only local koreans know about. There is no seating, so you come here to buy your food and bring it home.
They are known to have the best flavors in town. They have authentic Korean soups, meat dishes, side dishes, and more. A must try for anyone looking to bring food home to eat.
Hands down the best 잔치집 in NJ!”
“Best food I’ve ever had I think they have the best food in the area and I’ve tried most pizzerias in pal park and fort Lee area there pizza is excellent there pasta and chicken parm is one of the best I’ve ever had there sauce tastes amazing and you can tell it’s homemade keep up the good work guys It’s my go to place now I order 3 times a week for my office”
“We came here for the fried chicken, one of the best in the area. This time we tried the whole chicken instead of the wings, half in cheese snow and half in hot spicy. Personally I prefer hotter wings. We also tried the gimmalie, and it is like deep fried japchae rolled in seaweed, fantastic!”
“Stopped by on a Saturday at around 10:45 to pick up a few rolls. Everything is premade, so it makes for a nice, quick lunch. Rolls are $7-$8, which is cheap especially since they're made fresh in the morning. I think that's even cheaper than the fridged Hmart ones. Plus, it's packed with ingredients. They don't skimp on the meat and it's a good filling to rice ratio. We tried the grilled pork, beef, and fish cake kimbaps. They all tasted kind of similar but it was pretty good. We also had the dumplings, which I would skip because they just taste like the frozen Hmart mandus.
Definitely would come back the next time I'm craving some kimbap!”
“Press sandwich chain from South Korea. I have been a customer since they open many years ago. They have both sweet and savory options, their bulgogi beef and spicy chicken are my favorite. The staff has changed over the years but they have always been very friendly and service is always pretty fast. A lot of also people come here for their sweetened ice coffee, which I find to be a treat. They also offer bakery items as well as premade cold-cut sandwiches and gimbab (Korean rice roll). I recently notice them having Portuguese-style egg tarts too. It's located in the hart of downtown Palisades Park. Street parking only and sometimes it's hard to come by.”
“맛있어요 그런데 국물요리맛에 기복이 있어요. 보통 식당에서 팔지않는 별미들이 많아서 좋아요. 더욱더 새로운 요리들을 개발해주셨으면해요.”

“Stopped in here recently after traveling into town to see a terminally ill family member. After the heavy stuff, I was looking for a place to watch the hockey game and have a couple drinks. Wasn’t looking for anything trendy or overcrowded, just a laid back vibe. Based on pictures and reviews I headed out here. Could not have been happier with the choice. The bartender, Anthony, was very attentive and the drinks were made right at a good price. Highly recommend for a chill experience.”
“Visit the bakery yesterday, and it was worth every dollar I spend. The Pecan cream ring tasted just how I remembered when I was a kid. I also bought one double chocolate cookie, which was amazing!! I wish I bough more. The staff was super nice and helpful. I grew up in pal park, and the bakery was always the go to spot for our desserts. Keep it going and no slacking on the deliciousness. Going back today for more cookies😁”
“My mom's work was always so close to totowa since more than 20 years ago before they moved to this address. My mom would always buy me dinner here while i wait for her after school to go home. And so Totowa bunsik had a special place close to my heart. It just.. tasted like home for me. But a few years ago, I ordered 2 take out items and paid well over $50 - i dont know.. i just felt like i was betrayed by a childhood friend.
After years, my wife asked to give it another chance and im glad I did. Price has actually went down since then and the amount of food, quality, the taste all feels reasonable again. I'll be back for cheese donkatsu for sure.”
“Cafe Lala is a must-visit spot, especially in the morning, when they serve their own unique version of Korean gimbap. On top of that, they offer drinks and treats you won’t easily find at other cafés.
Their signature flavored coffees are always excellent, and my personal favorites are the Einspänner, grapefruit slush, and fresh strawberry milk — all absolutely delicious. And whatever you do, don’t skip the cheesecake. It’s a must-try!
At first, the staff’s manner might come across as a little curt, but regulars know the truth: the owner and staff are total tsundere types. They may not show it openly, but they have a subtle, caring way of looking after you — and it’s oddly addictive. I’ve grown to love it so much that I actually look forward to it now.
So don’t misunderstand — give it a few visits. By the third time, you’ll probably find yourself hooked on that unique “tsundere” service too.”
“Delicious! The soups are very tasty and very generous with meat! I ordered the gamja tang and it had more meat than potatoes which is unheard of and made the meal very satisfying. The gukbap was also delicious and filled with meat. I ordered a side of blood sausage/soondae and it was very fresh and delicious! I left feeling warm, satisfied, and with leftovers. The price for this food amount and quality is amazing. Highly recommend coming here!”
“Super yummy place! This was my go-to place for blackbean noodles when I was around the area. Brought some friends here as well, they also really enjoyed the food. Nice service, local restaurants and a great addition to the neighborhood”
“I didn't even know I liked rice cakes until I had the ones at Arirang. Rice cakes are typically dense, chewy blocks that, to me, never seemed worth the blood sugar spike. But my mom and sister have been raving about the rice cakes here for the longest time, and I finally managed to give them a try recently.
In short, they're incredible. I guess that's to be expected from a store that specializes in just one thing, but I immediately noticed a stark difference between these and the ones they sell at Asian supermarkets. Rice cakes (especially ones that have been on the shelves for some time) can be hard and tough, at worst erring toward the experience of chewing gum. Arirang's rice cakes are incredibly soft, both to the touch and in the mouth. Imagine the softest mochi-like texture giving way to a cloud of sweetness (the level of which depends on which kind of rice cake you get).
I'm a new fan of the fruit rice cakes, the likes of which I haven't seen in any other shop. The outside is powdery and tender, with a sweet, fruit filling that I found extremely moreish. My mom ordered a variety pack of red-bean filled rice cakes, which were also excellent.
The variety of rice cakes in this shop are a little overwhelming, but they're reasonably priced (especially for a specialty shop), so if you're fiending for some rice cakes - or are interested in trying them for the first time - I would absolutely recommend stopping by Arirang.
(Note: no seating space inside - takeout only)”
“Really fresh and delicious sushi! Everything tasted great and the quality was consistent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. It’s a bit far from where I live, but I’ll definitely be coming back. Totally worth the trip!”
“I come across this place through Yelp and the presentation of the bingsu looks really pretty there. However, it looks like they don't do that pretty presentation anymore. It's kinda expensive but the portion is huge; like this 'small' size can feed 3-4 people. This one has mango, cheesecake bites, mochi, and condensed milk. The cheesecake bites can feel a bit too much after a couple bites.”
“This is genuinely good Guatemalan food. We had the beef soup and ordered steak also but the portions of meat in the soup was so generous we didn’t even get too the steaks so we took them home. Service was very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was very informal. Some guys were watching soccer on the big screen tv and others were sitting alone, no one bothered anyone. I’m definitely going back for that soup as the winter sets in harder.
Parking: It’s general street parking with meters I believe are only active on weekdays”
“We LOVE Haru Hana - it's our go to for sushi. Their rolls are delicious, and everything comes near and ready to go. Cozy little takeout store , convenient spot, with super nice staff. They're very cool and accommodating and we really enjoy it.”
“사장부터 직원 매우 불친절..자리를 기다리는 사람들에 대한 관리가 전혀 없고 중간 중간 여사장이나 직원이 아는 손님이 오면 중간중간에 슬쩍 끼워 놓음.한시간 이상을 기다리는 손님에 대한 기본 예의 조차 없음..”
“It looks to provide real authentic Korean cusine with more than decent quality. Probably I think that this restaurant might simply be one of the best Korean resturant in NJ for my standard.”

“Dining here genuinely made my night. The food was a 10/10, and the staff offered the kindest, most attentive service we’ve ever experienced. Absolutely incredible!”
“This is my favorite Hey Yogurt location in the area. The yogurt is always yum. They make the drinks fast and the fruits are always fresh. They give you a LOT of fruit in the drinks as compared to the drinks I've gotten from other Hey Yogurt locations (cough Montclair cough). The staff is very friendly and always greet us when we come in and leave. The space is clean and well lit.
I highly recommend the pineapple, original, and purple rice with low sugar. I really like that this place includes fruit juice in the yogurt drinks. The other Hey Yogurt locations just tend to add a thin layer of fruit and call it a day.
This is a must stop every time we eat in Pal Park.”

I wish I bough more. The staff was super nice and helpful. I grew up in pal park, and the bakery was always the go to spot for our desserts. Keep it going and no slacking on the deliciousness. Going back today for more cookies😁”
“Super yummy place! This was my go-to place for blackbean noodles when I was around the area. Brought some friends here as well, they also really enjoyed the food. Nice service, local restaurants and a great addition to the neighborhood”
“Abiko Curry absolutely delivers when it comes to comfort and flavor. The curry is rich, bold, and perfectly balanced, not too salty, not too sweet, with that deep, slow-cooked flavor that makes you want to lick the plate clean. The chicken katsu is the real standout: crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside. The texture contrast between the crunchy coating and the smooth, velvety curry is just chef’s kiss.
If you’re craving a hearty, flavorful Japanese curry that feels homemade but perfected by pros, Abiko Curry is the spot.”
“Plenty of parking, good food, good vibes.”
