“Salem Seniors met for Lunch Bunch today on 10/17 at Dirty Jersey's in Alloway. We had a group of 13 people attend and the food and service was excellent as usual. As we were finishing our meal, we were all totally surprised and shocked when our Bartender/Waitress/Christina told us that a couple sitting in the bar had already paid for all of our meals. They had already left, so we couldn't even thank them. What a nice thing for them to do. We will have to pay it forward in the future as they did for us. God bless them and Dirty Jersey's Tavern. “Named as one of the top dive bars in the country, Murph's is a bit less ragged and run down and a step up from some of the dives I've been in. It's clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious. You can immediately tell that this is a neighborhood bar, where the locals are all familiar with one another. There is ample space for pool, and the 360 degree wrap-around bar is a great touch. We only came in for beer, and I can report back that the draft beer is quite cold!“

One particular Saturday she asked me to go with them so they could see if this would be a great place to hold their after party for the wedding. “I was invited by a friend on a Tuesday evening, and there was a birthday party going on, so there wasn't any food being sold, don't really know if they still did? The birthday patry people provided the food and allowed everyone to have some, which was so nice. There was a DJ named DJ Cuzzin Pete who was jammin! It's hard to get guys to dance with you in Delaware. I don't know why? Pretty small place. There is a pool table and a nice sized dance floor. The mixed drinks were good.“

When I brought it up to the bartender, she said I misread the situation and it was none of my business! So, I went to the manager and she repeated pretty much the same statement like it was scripted because it continuously happens! I wonder if the owners are aware of these actions because honestly the bartender and manager should be fired for those kind of attitudes as it's illegal to serve visibly impaired patrons at a bar! Sad! 🤔😔 I actually have to add, it's a shame that the staff isn't the best, because the concept is great, the events are fun and our group which usually numbers 10 to 15 people enjoy hanging out there for the events and the food which is reasonable and pretty good! 💝😎👍“

“They have the best food, hands down. I would like recommend people to try out. I am very particular when it comes to taste, and this place have some best dishes that you would crave to go again and again. Try and talk to the owners and get their recommendations, they are very friendly and would guide you based on your taste. This is going to be my go to place for sure!!“

“On 12/20/25 I spontaneously stopped in with a friend to have dinner, it was a busy time, 6:30ish I have to say it seem to be only 2 servers but they were managing seating their own tables smiling and seem to enjoy what they do, my server happily introduced herself “hi I’m Jazz, I will be your server tonight” I asked for her favorites and she gave plenty of options, I love that cause it’s so hard for me to decide! I choose the fish tacos & to share we choose crab tots, pretzel bites, & fried pickles, my friend went with the sausage pizza. Creme brûlée cheesecake & chocolate lava cake were a perfect end to the evening!!! Our drinks were perfect, as well loved the Christmas names! All were great choices!
Biggest reason for my review is because in the service world people are fast to complain but not make the effort to praise!
