“With a name that befits the place, this small informal restaurant serves delicious Cuban food from the heart of Perth Amboy. The service was friendly, and reminds me of hole-in-a-wall restaurants in Miami. What I didn't expect is that the food is a marriage of Cuban and Dominican Republican, so in some cases you may get a variant of the Cuban dishes you'd otherwise expect. Our order consists of the yellow rice & beans with beef stew combo, a cuban sandwich, and a smattering of appetizers/side dishes, such as the delicious potato ball, yucca ball with ground beef inside, and some empanadas and croquettes. The croquettes are not filled with beef and/or cheese, but more like a corn/potato blend that's rather sweet. All in all, it's a delicious meal, one that we enjoyed a few blocks away by the waters of Arthur Kill since the weather was a bit warm. Would try something else next time we're in the area, perhaps when visiting the Fajji's ice cream 5 minutes away when it's open for the season!“
“Tiki Mojito- Excellent service and delicious food. Daniel was very attentive and courteous. Our fried pork and yucca appetizer was tender and delicious! The ox tail plate was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Drinks were as ordered and well mixed. I recommend you all give it a try.“
“I stop in here today to grab a Cubano and take it down to Lions Roar for a beer. The staff is super friendly and ordering was a breeze. Food came out quickly and was smartly packaged to go. The sandwich was on fresh bread, and had hearty proportions of meat. The meat was flavorful and tender. Overall I would rate this one of the best Cubano sandwiches I have had. I have had many in Miami and this tops all of them. I would definitely come back here and would recommend it for take out to anyone at the brewery.“

“I love the empanadas and the soup is amazing! The only improvement would definitely be about how the service could be more timely focused. My friend and I waited a long time just for appetizers and the place was not even half full. So if you're in a hurry be upfront. All places have good and bad days but I would love to see this place do great!“
“Delightful service in a local quaint atmosphere. The menu appears to have a fusion feel but for this time around Inwemt with a traditional Cuban cuisine. The meal was well, and I plan to return to explore the menu and give a review on the yayse only have I have a fair amount of options.“
