Then again, $21 for dough, sauce and cheese is already excessive by itself. And, not much sauce at all on my pie. You lost a loyal customer tonight.“

“Is it crazy to call this the most underrated place in Piscataway?? No one knows about this gem inside the YMCA but their food is super tasty and fresh. Their açai bowls and smoothies are refreshing and delicious and perfect for the summer. Also this might be crazy but their chicken tenders might be the best I've ever had!! They're perfectly crispy and juicy and tender all at the same time. Would definitely recommend especially if you're at the Y hanging out or at the gym for a treat after!“

“I recently visited Koko Loko cafe in New Brunswick and had the pleasure of trying their Pistachio Latte and Caramel Latte. While both drinks were enjoyable, the Pistachio Latte truly stole the show.

The Pistachio Latte was perfectly balanced, with a rich, nutty flavor that wasn’t overly sweet but still indulgent. It had a creamy texture that complemented the espresso beautifully, making every sip an absolute delight. It’s one of those drinks that leaves you wanting more even after the last drop.

The Caramel Latte was good as well, with a classic sweetness and smooth finish, but it didn’t quite compare to the unique and standout flavor of the Pistachio Latte. If you’re deciding between the two, I’d highly recommend going for the pistachio—it’s a game changer!

The ambiance of the shop was cozy, and the service was friendly and efficient. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their menu, but the Pistachio Latte is already a favorite.

“This is a great little café/diner right next to the Westfield train station. We are fairly new to Westfield and went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We were wowed by the wonderful customer service of our waitress, Cindy. She was very attentive, provided great order suggestions and also brought over their delicious housemade hot sauce to go along with our eggs. All the food we ordered was wonderful, including the short stack of chocolate chip pancakes, the egg and cheese sandwich on a hard roll, and the Florentine omelette. The chef (maybe owner?), Ash even stopped by later on towards the end of our meal to check on how everything was. We meant to write this review right after that, but then never got around to it and when we went back today a few weeks later, we realized how much we needed to write this up! This time Kirsten and Cindy both helped us out, and Cindy remembered us by our orders from the last time even though we had only been here one time- very impressive and shows a great attention to detail and customer service. Ash came by also, and it was clear he remembered us as well. The food was fresh and tasty yet again (we got the French toast, egg and cheese sandwich, and Greek omelette this time) and the prices are great. “Boxwood Cafe is a gem! The owner has created a high quality coffee shop and the employees are very friendly. I like to stop by for a latte and a baked good (scone, cookie, or blueberry bar) and sit outside at one of the side tables. Pre-Covid, they hosted open mic night and quiz night every month. Now Steve hosts a monthly Zoom Quiz Night and it is so much fun! A great locally owned cafe.“

The empanada are $5 but if you are a big empanada fanatic like me, you should definitely try it. The chicken and beef are my favorite. They are stuffed... no air pocket whatsoever. Pulled beef and pulled chicken.

The food was good but a bit blend. Just need a little more seasoning on the eggs especially. Maybe salt and pepper may solve it for some but I needed more. Lol

I got the breakfast tacos and added chicken to it. The chicken were just added on top and the were big pieces of chicken. I had to diced it myself to mesh it all together. You must be quick with the tacos or the tortilla gets very soft and makes it impossible to hold.

Overall I enjoy my empanada and took my leftover which I spice up the next day on the stove.

If in the area again, i would visit this place for their empanada and delicious ice coffee.

“I come here a lot! I've never left a review, but today... I ordered a salad. I always order it with no tomatoes. First, I don't like them and second, I sometimes get itchy after eating them. So, in general I just avoid them. Today they put tomatoes in it. I got to the counter with the salad and receipt. They said they couldn't take it back, that they would have to toss it. So, I kept it and waited for them to prepare a new one.. When it was ready, an asian lady that I had never seen, asked me to bring it back.. She asked if I was allergic, to which I responded "yes, but I can give it to someone at work" I don't remember exactly how the conversation went but she asked me to give it back. Which is fine. I technically did not pay for it. However, I kind of could not believe it.. I asked if she wanted me to give it back to make sure I heard her right. She said yes.. So, I did. My point is, would you rather toss a salad because YOU made a mistake, as opposed to letting someone else eat it?? Is a free salad really going to make ANY difference to a business like Panera Bread? I felt so disappointed!! Not because of the salad itself. Again, I did not pay for it and my purpose was not to get a free salad.. It was more like sadness.. What kind of person prefers to throw out a salad when somebody else can actually eat it? How miserable do you have to be?? Anyway... Like I said, I come here a lot. They've gotten my order wrong a few times, but I've never said anything because who cares? If it's not a big deal, I just eat it. In this case, I could not and that's why I brought it to their attention.. In general, two men that I think are the managers are nice and attentive. The rest of the staff is ok. Place is clean. “A great place to spend a the day and not spend a lot of money. The pedal boats are $10 and seat up to 4 adults. The café has good food, drinks and ice cream at great prices. There is a playground for the kids across the street, areas for barbecues, walking trails and amazing wildlife. Bring your camera for some wonderful pictures.
