“A week ago, my family and I ordered take-out from here, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences my brother-in-law ever had. We always order from Cedar Knolls as that is typically closer to home, but the day we ordered, we never looked at the location when my brother-in-law made the call. They are surprisingly cheaper than Cedar Knolls, and when we got the food, everything was so fresh and flavorful. The steamed dumplings were huge compared to Cedar Knolls and tasted amazing. My brother-in-law kept joking with them about where he was going to pick up the food and if we were getting anything complimentary for such a big food order. To say they delivered is an understatement. My brother-in-law now has drink glasses with Hunan Wok's logo on it, and it is beautiful. Not to mention, they even added a soup on the house. The whole family has agreed that this is definitely our new go-to whenever we're in the mood for Chinese food.“

“Beautiful decor on the inside. Restaurant gets busy so make reservation just in case! Had dinner Monday night and Ashley was amazing. The sake warrior is like a limey summer refresher. Just with a little twist. Really good! Shrimp dumplings are so bomb, as well as the sesame chicken and glass noodle. Great service.“

“Pepper Steak was really good. Nice and tender compared to many Chinese take out spots near me. Chicken with broccoli was also pretty good. Their garlic shrimp served with the mofongo was great! Next time I'll try it with their fried rice. Other people that left a review recommended their Mofongo. Maybe it's just me but it was ok. It seemed a bit on the drier side. Overall I like this spot. It just sucks its too far from where I live. lol“

“This Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem. The food was outstanding. The dumplings were delicate and filled with delicious fillings. The Sweet and Sour Pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right balance of sweet and sour flavors. The restaurant also pays attention to detail in presentation. The staff was extremely polite and efficient. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving delicious Chinese food.“

“Just picked up food from here for the first time because our usual spot was randomly closed for the day. Too bad for them, bc this place will now be our usual spot. Portions are great for the price. Food was seasoned perfrctly and just the right level of spice. My kids especially loved the green colored steamed dumplings. We called from ~10 minutes away and food was getting bagged as we walked in. 5 stars all around.“

“Ordered take out for the third time tonight, so now they've earned this review. General tso chicken combo w white rice was amazing. Chicken was crispy. Sauce had good flavor. Wonton soup was really good. Had a little taste of ginger in the wonton. It's worth noting that I've had their steamed dumplings in the past, and they were very good as well. Meaty and flavorful. White rice was the perfect consistency, as I like it on the sticky side. The woman on the phone was very polite, and the delivery came quickly. I've had others in the area but non seem to be as consistent or fairly priced. This place is a win IMHO.“

We had three combo meals (chicken & cashew, veggie, broccoli & garlic) with the pork fried rice and devoured it!! So delicious! We also had fried dumplings and scallion pancakes. Between the 4 of us it was only $20 each, and it was SO GOOD and so much food ! 10/10 highly recommend 🩷 and everyone is so sweet and friendly there!! :)“

“Ok, I’ll first start by saying I don’t usually fill out reviews, nor was I even asked to do so… I actually came here by accident. I was passing through the area and saw the Jamaican place next door online. I have social anxiety and usually don’t go inside places I don’t know by myself but I decided that I REALLY wanted some j*** chicken, set my gps and drove. As I approached I saw the place I intended to go, and parked. Kept my head down and walked inside. To my surprise I looked up to see two people who were very much not Jamaican lol there was no customers in there and I felt like a deer in headlights and couldn’t turn around and walk out so i just blurted out that I would like some beef lomein. He rang me up and it was $14 and change and my immediate thought was “wtf” but whatever, (I used a card and there was no mention of a $15 limit) I decided to wait in the car for my food and as I did I looked at the reviews. Over and over I read people said the food was expensive, sucked, and the people were rude and stingy with sauces. I was not feeling very hopeful for my lunch at all. However, when I went back in to get my food, the man was more lively and very polite, even asked if I would like any sauce, which I thought was funny. I went back to my car and realized that I had a quart rather than a pint (I never specified) which was why it was so costly. When I opened the container I was pleasantly surprised that there was a lot of meat and veggies in there and it was super hot and fresh. The taste was on point too, probably one of the best beef lomeins I’ve had. Maybe they aren’t super friendly or bubbly, but they were fair, nice, and the food was great. Don’t let the other reviews scare you.“

“I just love going to Master Wok at Rockaway mall! It's a bit of a drive, about 25 minutes from my home, but let me tell you, the food is so good. My favorites are the Barbecue pork and the Chicken & Broccoli. They're simply delicious! You can get two meats with fried rice or lo mein for just $9.35. I've been a loyal customer of this Chinese food place since I was 16, and now that I'm 21, it's still my favorite place ever!“

“Simply one of the best Chinese restaurants in NJ. Only criticism is the parking. You have to park on the street, most spots are metered. It can be a bit of a walk if you can't find a handy parking spot.

Parking: Parking can be difficult at times, especially if there is a popular show at Mayo arts center which is close by.“

“This is pick up only - there’s no seating for dining in. Ho Ho was sold and bought again a couple of years ago, and it sure has changed for the better! The food is fresh, delicious and affordable!
