“Visited here today in Harlem and the restaurant is very beautiful and cozy. My server was very kind, I did not get his name but he was attentive and everything came out pretty quickly. The food was amazinggg, portion sizes were great and everything was very flavorful. The Thai iced tea was lovely and the calamari and gyoza dumplings were fire too, as well as the Thai fried rice and the basil fried rice. I would definitely come back here again. Also was not expensive at all. 5/5 no complaints!“

“I enjoyed the food at Chorn Thong, but I wouldn’t consider it fully authentic Thai cuisine. The dishes were not spicy, which is unusual for traditional Thai food. However, I understand that this may be adjusted due to the location and the local clientele, where there may not be many Thai customers.

That said, the place itself is beautiful, and the service was excellent! I will definitely come back for the sticky mango dessert.“

We ordered the Massaman curry — absolutely delicious. Rich, flavorful, with a unique taste that really stands out. It’s not too spicy, which makes it very enjoyable even if you don’t usually go for spicy food.

We also had the Pad See Ew (stir-fried wide rice noodles with meat) — perfectly cooked, very tasty, and well-balanced in flavor.

“During my visit, I experience good customer service; an employee is kind and the kiosk is easy to use. I arrive at this location for a Vegan eatery which seems to no longer be there, so I just order the Pad See Ew (w/ Tofu) from Racha Thai Restaurant. The noodles carry the spices very well. The broccoli tastes delicious. The brown sauce is light, not heavy. The eggs are light and carry more sweetness than any other flavor. The tofu is soft, and a good blending ingredient to soften spicier flavors. Each ingredient blends well together in a bite. Overall, for the most part, the meal offers a lot of tasty, spicy, and sweet flavors. For the least part, there is an off flavor (with about four bites) that is so inconsistent with the rest of the meal I wonder if any part of the meal might be post expiration. The establishment offers seating outdoors though the food pick-up area offers kiosks to order and pick-up only, it seems. There are humans working at the eatery. One may need to inquire of an employee if the establishment accepts cash.“

“I have ate at Tom Yum Koong for quite some time, almost since the time I was 15 years old. I always grabbed a bite here after tutoring and extensive study hours.

After graduating, I am practically a regular now and have tried at least everything on the menu except for the chef's specials and several appetizers. I'm sure they are great too and worth sharing as a family.

For what it's worth, the owner, Anne is a wonderful person. She is enthusiastic about her culture, her dishes, and everything she provides to her customers is simply the best. Though, the food can be heavy and forced me to go into deep food comas at times! In fact, I was so hungry one time that I ordered a Pad Thai with extra noodles! It was crazy, but the consistency and use of aromatics, as well as sauce was amazing.

For starters of Thai cusine, I recommend anything from their lunch special. The salad, soup, and entree was worth it. I suppose that the portion is less than their dinners, but mind you, everything tasted delicious! However, the only thing I'd say is that the food has gotten expensive. It makes sense, so be very careful of ordering here like I did.

As for tipping, it is required here for sit-down and encouraged for takeout. I tend to eat here alone, and there's no shame in that, but I always tend to tip around $2-3. The restaurant does not do any Uber, Door dash, or anything of the like, so if you order, you'd need to pick it up yourself after calling the store, or wait until at least 5pm and call them for delivery. They accept either cash or card, but if it's card, you'd need to tell them your card information and the amount to tip.

Regardless, Tom Yum Koong is a great restaurant. Given how long I have been eating here, the owners treat me pretty much like family. I guess it's a good thing, but it's also probably because I always prefer eating here more than anywhere else!“

“It’s a small but very nice place. The waitress was professional, friendly, and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious!

For my appetizer, I ordered the fried chicken wings. They were perfectly fried—crispy, flavorful, and even better when paired with the sweet chili sauce.

For dinner, I had the Pad See Ew with beef and ordered extra sauce on the side. The flavors were incredible, and my taste buds were delighted with every bite.

The portion sizes were perfect, and the prices were very reasonable.

Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely be returning in the future.
