I’ve been living in the U.S. for 16 years, and the thing I’ve missed and loved the most is lahmacun. After trying it at PIDDE, I’ve never had lahmacun anywhere else again. At other places I’ve tried over the years, I always experienced heartburn afterward — but never at PIDDE.

It’s a place you can visit with your family and feel completely at ease. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.🙏“

“Bence bolgenin en iyisi, yemekler çok lezzetli, hiç bir şey baştan salma değil. Çakışanlar Cok saygılı. Amerika’da gittiğim en iyi restaurant diyebilirim ve iyi bir Türk yemeği yemek isteyenlere tavsiye ederim. Adana kebap, lahmacun ve kuş başı pidesi ni denedim ve bayildim. İnşallah diğerleri gibi bozmadan devam ederler.“

“I used multiple food delivery services to get my mediterranean food here, tried the lento soup, chicken shish, lamb shish, hummus, veggie sticks, etc. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the chicken shish and vegetables had charred parts and the chef didn’t bother to remove them. (but it is wise to remove heavily blackened parts before eating).

If you don’t want to eat too salty foods, you need to specify less salt or no salt in the takeout order. If you don’t want the overcooked lamb, you also need to specify medium rare.

Overall, a very high end restaurant that has good quality food and friendly staff. Especially with the outdoor setting in the fall evening.

“We’ve always been happy with the Turkish food in this friendly place, but this Thanksgiving discovered that they also offer a turkey dinner on this day. $50 per person for tasty turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes, special rice, plus pumpkin pie and coffee. Since we no longer want to be bothered at Thanksgiving we will probably return here.“

“I like to come by and eat lunch here because the food is delicious, quickly served, and price is giving. Lunch Menu is now $17 for soup or salad, appetizer, main. I had the lentil soup (could use some more flavor its a bit bland), the hummus was very
good (wish they had real warm pita instead of bread ), my Chicken kabob was cooked perfectly (meat was tender and soft).“

“We stumbled upon Toros because we were trying to find a place to eat on the last day of Ramadan. They were super packed but they told us if we waited for a few minutes they would be able to sit us. We were so glad we waited because the food was fantastic. It was by far one of my favorite Turkish restaurants in NJ. The service here is great. They are very attentive and the food comes out pretty quickly. The seating is a little tight but not uncomfortable. We didn't know they had a parking lot the first time but the next time we came, parking is right next to it which was convenient. Definitely recommend coming to eat here. Stop by in the afternoon on a weekday or weekend when its less crowded. You won't be disappointed.“

“We had a great dinner tonight at Happy Vegans. We were greeted warmly and offered a taste of their special dish kofta, which is a delicious mix of spices, tomato and bulgur. I had the happy vegan burger which was huge with three patties made from kofka, lettuce tomatoes and a large serving of fries. We were given mayonnaise and ketchup to dip the fries in. Baklava for dessert. I highly recommend this charming restaurant. Easy street parking.“

Restaurant was so noisy that we had to shout to our table companions all evening. The imam bayaldi was oversalted and underflavored and pine nuts doled out as if they were diamonds. The shrimp was hard, dry, overcooked, oversalted and flavorless sitting on a bed of gloppy watery tomatoes. Half the lamb kabobs were ok and half were nothing but gristle. Servers were very pleasant, and helpful with wine selection but the wait for our dishes seemed interminable. What was good -- very good --the rice with the lamb kabobs, the rice pudding and the coffee. But too much money for bad (sorry, but that's what it was) food. As I said, maybe we ordered the wrong dishes or maybe it was just an off night.“

“A friend of mine brought me some Baklava from Beyti. What an absolute delight it was. The Baklava's were not too crispy, not too soft, just had the right texture. The sweet level was just perfect. Hopefully one day they will start shipping them out.“
