“Exactly what I was hoping it was. Perfect portions, good prices. Simple and quality diner/luncheon food. I sat at the well loved counter, and was served a lovely dish of ham, eggs and home fries by a lovely lady who I believe was the namesake of the joint. It seems like a very regular and dedicated crowd.Wish more diners were like Karen's.“

EVERY day I wake up thinking "today is the day that I eat the food that I made purposefully for lunch" and then I look at the specials of the day at Big Mouth and the thought of doing such a thing disappears more quickly than it appeared, a distant memory, a sheer figment of my imagination. Should we all start meeting at the local Presbyterian on Tuesday nights and then ignore each other on Wednesday afternoon as we run into one another picking up our individual orders of the Michael sandwich? Or should we all just say screw it, give in and buy maternity pants?The only real way for me to find the answers to all of those questions is to... in the name of research... continue going back daily. “Super nice ladies working there. I came in right before close and didn't want to make them do anything whole they were cleaning up but they insisted I order something and did not mind one bit. Got the potato/cheddar and Philly cheese steak pierogi. Both were fantastic!Store is super clean with a bunch of great snacks you can't find anywhere else. I'll be stopping back in for sure!“

“I don't think I've ever had something from JDs that I didn't like. The food is always fresh and delicious. We've used them for catering also and I was impressed with their pricing and options. Tables are always full and staff is always friendly. Quality is consistent. My favorite is constantly changing but my family loves the BLK and the patsy.“

“I had a Bacon Egg and Cheese on a toasted sesame bagel with ketchup and pepper. It was okay. I think I would have preferred more "meat" in the bagel, but I think it's not different than the other bagel places in the area. This place only takes cash, so be sure to bring some or use their on site ATM. Their grill was open later than other local spots on a Sunday, which was a plus. The staff are friendly. They offer drinks, chips and some pastries as well.“

“Food was about what you'd expect from a deli. Nice workers. It was clean. My only issue is that there was no rest room, which if I wanted to go there for my lunch like I did today, I'd have to go across the street to the gas station.“

“This is such a great place. The food is wonderful the atmosphere is great and service is out of this world. I would recommend if your sick or just a soup lover to get their chicken and rice soup. Its thick and hearty with shredded chicken. The fresh mozzarella is like 10 dollars for this small ball but worth it. They make great spaghetti sauce and have wonderful sandwiches too but I'm cutting back on bread so I can't say I've had them that much“

“Dinner report from Nov 25th. After turkey on Thanksgiving, we needed an Italian meal for our family of four and Vitale's delivered. Serving dinner on the weekend, the deli is transformed into a trattoria courtesy of black linen tablecloths and black screens which hide the refrigerated deli cases from view. The "Spiedini" is a must order from the list of starters. The specials are super - we quite enjoyed chicken and veal dishes - but the fish and shellfish are where the restaurant shines. On this night the lobster ravioli were served with the both shrimp and scallops. The service is both friendly and efficient. Water glasses are kept filled and BYO wine is opened promptly. We will return to this gem of a restaurant!“

“I celebrated my birthday today in this delicious restaurant. I am glad to say that we had a tremendous evening and the restaurant was evidently the reason for this strong celebration. “If you love quirky places with good food at cheap prices you'll fall in love with the Road House Deli on Myrtle Avenue in Boonton! Talk about a hole in the wall place! There is wonderful Polish food made fresh, just like in Mama's kitchen if she was a good and interested cook. There's a table full of individually wrapped Polish pastries and they sell coffee, tea and food to go. Along the side wall are four tiny vintage booths so you can eat here in comfort. Today was my first time and the potato pancakes were large and tasty, the pirogies were excellent and the owner put extra onions on top just like in Poland. We also had the meatballs with rice stuffing and gravy and real Kielbasa. Warren, a frequent lunch customer (Several times a week) was so enthusiastic. He eats one lunch in the Road House Deli and takes home a second for his dinner. Warren said to try the creamy horseradish dressing on the potato pancakes. He also says he comes every Tueaday for the special spinach casserole which says is excellent. I'm recommending the Road House Deli for good home style cooking, low prices and talk about local color. There is a must be at least 60 year old phonograph and hundreds of LP albums. You choose what you want to hear, put the record on the phonograph and get the music you want without having to pay a jukebox fee. Now how cool is that?“

“I got a take-out lunch after a hike in the area. The fish sandwich with tartar sauce was very good (and very obviously made in-house with care), and their cucumber salad was the perfect side dish. I had fun browsing the shelves of products while I waited, and even picked up some German-made Nivea cream (the best!). Danke!“

My bf has been coming here for years and swears by this deli as one of the best around.This mom and pop deli is not much to look at from the outside.They have free parking out front with several spots they share with another business.Once inside you can see why they call this place The Parsippany Deli/ Emerald Gifts aka The Irish Deli.As soon as you walk in the front door, they have a glass counter that displays beautiful China from Ireland. They sell teas, marmalade, sausages, bacon, black and white pudding, Irish candies, also Brennan's bread.During the month of March they make and sell homemade Irish Soda Bread.As you make your way to the front counter you will meet owner Eddie, and Avril. They were both very friendly and told me about their business. Posted on the counter is their sandwich and salad menus.The Parsippany deli/Emerald gifts has been in business for 50 years, now I know why. Their prices are reasonable, and everything is homemade. They also do catering.They roast all their own meats like Roast Beef, Turkey Breast, and Baked Virginia Ham. I highly suggest getting a half of a sub. It’s as big as most whole subs.This place doesn’t skimp on their meats, just the opposite.When I got home and opened up my sub I was pleasantly surprised, and couldn’t believe how much meat was on it. It was probably one of the best Italian subs I’ve ever had and I’ve been all over for subs.I ordered their Italian Sub - Ham, Salami, Capocollo they call it Hot Ham, and Cheese. I got mine with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, oil and vinegar. It was really delicious. I wound up eating a half of a half and saved the rest for later.My bf ordered their Roast Beef n American Cheese Sub. The Roast Beef was cooked perfectly rare and piled on the sandwich with lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar. He enjoyed it so much he ate the entire thing.I also ordered 2 of their homemade salads. Macaroni and Potato Salad. The macaroni was my favorite. It was rich and creamy.I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointedParking: They share the spaces with another business. “I can't give a full review because it was my 1st time visiting the establishment. I can give a review of what I ordered & of the person that served me. Everything looked & smelled good. The person who served me was kind & friendly. I had the picadillo with white rice, sweet plantains, a fried yuca fritter, & a side of beans. It all was very tasty, with the exception of the fritter. My only qualm was the pricing for what I ordered. It came to $29, including 2 bags of cheese doodles.Would I go back... Yes. Everything looked vibrant & fresh... I wanted to try EVERYTHING.“

The many different flavors of cream cheese are always good.For lunch they have a really delicious Mediterranean chicken wrap. They also have a beef Gyro, but I have had better.“

I use the SLICE APP and it gives points but also allows updates on the delivery time. It arrives at my home warm and delicious within the time sent via text message.“
