“We ate here for the first time and I think this is the best place I’ve ever eaten. The staff was super friendly, they were very accommodating to my gluten allergy, and the food portions were huge. I really enjoyed everything. I wish they would open a restaurant on the Florida Panhandle or honestly anywhere within 8 hours drive of us.“

“Philly's got some solid vegan restaurants but in my experience, this is the only one where Dr. Michael Greger may drop in to see Chef Alice and crash your lunch party. But that's not even my favorite part about this place — it's a cafe really devoted to the mission of nourishing health through good food. A lot of the meat-free restaurants in town serve tasty food but aren't exactly in the ballpark of WFPB — whereas Joy is looking to add years to your healthspan... without selling short on flavor! Alice is a quintessential crusader restaurateur. I also appreciate the gluten-free options, and I congratulate myself for the dignity I exhibited last visit when I abstained from eating the paper wrapper of my blueberry muffin in desperation to get every crumb down.“

“I've had two different meals here so far, and both were very good. I guess my only semi-gripe would be wanting more sauce. The staff that was present at both visits have been amazing, as well. Vegan and gluten-free, friendly to the max.
Vegetarian options: Vegan kitchen with no meat or animal products used.
Dietary restrictions: Everything is clearly labeled, and substitutions are available in any item.
Parking: Both times I went, there was plenty of available parking close by the entrances.“

“Everything's vegan, keep that in mind when ordering.
Got the plant protein bowl and thought it was just okay. Feels like all the bits of it were muted, or just oniony. Wished there was a little more green or something fresh feeling.
Soups were good. Buffalo wrap felt like it had better flavor, brighter? Bolder? than the protein bowl.
Clean and bright indoors. Came for pickup, so didn't stick around to enjoy the ambiance.“

“My husband is a lifelong Texan and we recently moved to Philly from Austin and have been searching for good breakfast tacos to no avail, until we found Taco Heart. He loves the Troubadour and the Carrine’s Fave. They have excellent options for me as a vegetarian, too. The migas…chefs kiss! And we love the brrrchata.
But the real thing that makes them taste like home is the green jalepeno sauce. It’s impossible to find. But they make it perfectly!!“

“4th Street Delicatessen is a one of a kind city deli with tons of history and character. We ordered the Zaftig pastrami sandwich on rye, and it was absolutely worth it — the pastrami was piled high, tender, and full of flavor, and the rye bread held everything together perfectly. The portions are generous, so definitely come hungry. The service was great. Keira was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and they even gave complimentary cookies at the end, which was such a nice touch. Parking is tough, but that’s expected in the city. It is on the expensive side, but honestly, with the location and portion sizes, what can you expect? Overall, great food and great service.“

“Everything was perfect from the moment I entered. The front host greeted me with a welcoming smile. I dined at the bar. My bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and walked me through a beautiful meal. Service was top notch. The team work was beautiful to watch. Great attention to detail. Come hungry, leave happy! Always a pleasant experience visiting the Naked counter—every staff member I have interacted with is kind, polite and professional!
Whether I need a quick fresh-juiced drink or a midday superfoods boost, I know I can run right over to the Naked Lunch spot. With seasonal mixes, there’s always something new to try. I love getting the build your own bowl.

“We didn’t get to eat at Zahav - but got the next big thing and ordered the Lamb Meal from gold belly with salatim. It was DELICIOUS!! Best lamb we have ever had, so delicious. Salads were yummy, hummus well done and could easily feed 6 adults. So. Much. Food. If you can’t make it to the restaurant- order the kit from Goldbelly and treat yourself!“

“Was it worth walking all of Kensington to reach here at Circles and Squares? Hell yea. Would do it again...maybe. ONE of the best pizzas Ive ever had. The east coast does it the best honestly. We talked to the owner and was the dopest dude. It is a city of brotherly love. The crisp was perfect and the cheese was flawless. Cant say anything negative about it. He even brought us out some wings which were fuego. You have to come here. Dont walk through Kensington though.“

“My fave resto in Philly!!! The food was absolutely phenomenal—always consistent and so delicious. The service is TOP-NOTCH. They’ve always gone above and beyond for us, always treating us with so much care & warmth every time we’re there. “We randomly found this place while visiting Philly and it was SO good! I got guacamole (it was GOOD and FRESH and NOT brown) I also got a steak tostada and a steak taco - the salsas are sooooo good the red one is spicy but me likely spicy so thumbs up. My friend got a veggie burrito and it was so good for her she threw it down in pure excitement! Also super support their lack of coke products <3.“

“I don’t understand the complaints. I always got really great food here. The general tso’s tofu was always great. The wonton soup was as well. In this area specifically, this is one of the best around. I don’t know if the same person is working the cash register, but a little boy always rung me up and he was perfectly kind. While also doing his homework on the job. The whole family was always very sweet to me.
Vegetarian options: Always many options.“
