This is a very nice cozy bakery with comfortable seating. Great looking selection of pastries, breads and sandwiches. Today I had the scone with chocolate and an Americano coffee. Came with a small biscotti. Both were very good. Lots of take out business and many locals seem to sit in and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Several people doing business on their computers. Bathroom is spacious and clean.
Definitely will go again.“

“Shoutout to the Rittenhouse location. We are at Chop with our 4 year old son who just had surgery. I figured after the day we had let’s have some cookies. I placed an order from Levain on door dash. My wife after the long day she had put in the wrong address on the door dash order and the driver called screaming at me and wouldn’t come 1.3 miles to bring them even after explaining the circumstances. Door dash refunded my whole order without me even asking and I called Levain and they went above and beyond. They gave us cookies on the house and even threw in an extra chocolate chip and delivered them to CHOP. Not only are the cookies fabulous the hospitality is second to none. I am a lifelong customer to this location and want to thank everyone at the Rittenhouse location especially Mat who went above and beyond. Thanks again!“

We ordered a pack of 6 cookies to bring to Spain with no expectations that they would arrive whole in the suitcase and surprisingly they arrived perfect 😃 (later I realized that they could be carried in your hand to take them on the plane as a personal item) 😉

The interior is okay, great display of breads that you can just pick on! Service: pay and go, not that much interaction. Food: The breads are delicious, fluffy and still good after few days. CAKES: they have themed cakes which I like, everything is delicious and cakes are light. MATCHA CROISSANT: I don’t have a picture tho but this is good! You can taste the matcha well! BOBA TARTS: actually it is not bad, the boba were topped on a eggy tea infused cream filling. I wouldn’t order it again to be honest. Lol Price rating: 6/10, not that bad for goodies. “I got there practically as soon as it opened and all the flavors were already there and good to go. It looked like they were being thawed rather than baked fresh, but that makes sense, given that it was still the morning. This time, I tried the banana nut, pumpkin spice latte, and classic chocolate chip. Pumpkin spice felt a bit bland, save for the filling which I wasn’t a fan of either…but wow did the banana nut make up for it!

There was friendly service at this Chip City, just like the other one at Rockefeller. And actually, I’d only intended to buy one cookie but when the cashier suggested the 3 cookie deal, I couldn’t resist. My only complaints are that the store is a little too small for comfort (can’t be helped though, it’s NYC) and that I didn’t know there was merch available until much later…totally would have picked up a cute cookie pin if I had known - but that is no one’s fault but mine haha. As always, Chip City stays serving!! ??“
