I got the smash burger and added long hots—it was delicious! Their fries are also super crispy. The cocktails were also very good. I can’t wait to come back.Vegetarian options: The menu is all vegan. “The service was excellent. The food was also good, we enjoyed the tasting menu which had some surprising dishes such as the carrot & egg custard. The bread and nduja was also a nice addition. However, we spent over $800 between the two of us with tips included (with the tasting menu priced at $215) which I think is way too overpriced. The wines especially are overpriced, for 150pp I would expect more upscale wines than what was on offered. We ended up going with a Barolo instead which was more reasonable but still $170 for a bottle. For these prices, I would expect Michelin 1 or 2 star quality food, which it wasn't (as nice as our meal was). That said, the service was really good with our waiter being extremely attentive and considerate.“

“Had “The Paesano” from Paesano’s in Philly yesterday. This is in the Italian market area of South Philly which I love (aside from finding parking) and the people who worked here were all super friendly and helpful.I posted a picture with the ingredients for this one. This had a flavor that I’ve maybe never tasted before all wrapped in one. I enjoyed how it all played off each other (I could eat pepperoncini on anything and be happy too) and the roll was wonderful.Unfortunately I will say that the brisket was a bit tough, which surprised me. I believe it was cut on the wrong angle but there were multiple bites where I really had to tear at it. Had this brisket been as tender as it should have, I’d put this sandwich up against most sandwiches in the city…and I mean that. Put a properly trimmed and roasted brisket on this one and it’s up there with the best roast pork’s and cheesesteaks around imoDefinitely Didn’t Suck, but did leave room for improvement for sure.Check out video and more content on this spot and many others on my social media pages here - https://linktr.ee/Didnt_Suck“

“True old world Italian cooking artistry. Opened in 1899 Dante and Luigi's is one of the oldest restaurants in Philadelphia PA. It is certainly the oldest Italian eatery in Philly. Cozy with well dressed wait staff and old world decor. The food tells the story here. I have eating there since college. I took my dates there when I was 18. I go for the food. Delicious is the keyword. Savory tomato sauces, tender meats and exquisite desserts if you have the room after eating your meal. On my recent visit I had pasta fagoli and a side of roasted peppers and provolone to start and their homemade lasagna for the main course. Everything was scrumptious. Even though I was bordering on I can't eat another bite I had the tiramisu for dessert. I couldn't resist. Dante and Luigi is easily my favorite Italian restaurant and a cut about the rest.“

“GO TO ELMA! Seriously I cannot say enough great things about this place. My wife and I went for her birthday last August and had such an amazing time that we decided to go again for my birthday this week. Both services were truly outstanding. The seatings are so intimate and personal that it literally feels like Chef James and his team are cooking for you in their own home. They go above and beyond in their service and the quality and creativity of the food. You can taste just how much passion there is in this tiny little spot. But the real standout for us is that they will make modifications based on dietary restrictions. My wife is pescatarian, and so we are often at the mercy of restaurants with this format. But Chef James not only caters to her needs, he specifically crafts incredible dishes exclusively for her. If we could afford it, we’d eat here every month. Seriously, GO TO ELMA!“

Friendly, in and out quickly, reasonably priced!–The Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Its a South Jersey Hoagie shop and Deli, disguised as a South Jersey Hoagie shop and Deli! Its a nice clean deli with good food reasonably priced. What else do you want!?–This isn't an advertisement. Come here, grab some food for the family, and you will not only have a new hoagie spot, you will have a hoagie night every week from here.–UNFORTUNATELY, i didn't take any pictures!! I was starving, and my Super Mario was Bangin! I will remember to snap some pics next time.Dietary restrictions: I don't know exactly how "Healthy" a hoagie is, but they got top quality meats and cheeses. Not that waxy, glossy, processed stuff. Real Meat, and Real Cheese. And then they got fresh rolls! Everything else is up to you, and what you like. You can hold the oil and mayo, or whatever. You can order a pretty healthy, conscious sandwich if thats what you want.Parking: There's a side lot, a big back lot, and a side street right there you can pull up to. If you're handicapped, you can park, but there are steps to go in the store. The people were so nice, i bet if you ordered, and pulled up, they would bring it out to you, so don't let that stop you from coming here.“

“We ate here while staying at the Mint for a birthday. We had a good time and the food was good but felt that it was a little over priced (i.e. $42 for an eggplant parm dish and over $100/person without alcohol). Staff was friendly but felt maybe a little under experienced/trained. Timing between courses was a little off (very long between one and then others right away). Cleanliness was perfect but noticed a lot of chipped dishes. Atmosphere was cozy with very comfortable seats. Overall we're glad we experienced it, would recommend to others but may/may not return.“

Castellino's Italian Market Italian • $

“best hoagie place in fishtown/nolibs. Liberty kitchen is a museum of millennial cringe and they charge double what castellinos does for a product that is half as good. This place rules and honestly nothing in the entire city compares, the cheesesteak at Angelo’s and the roast pork at John’s dont hold a candle to the Franklin or the aunt Lucy“

“Ordered a large pizza through Slice app. Pizza was ready on time and staff were friendly. The best part was the pizza tasted quite good. I am fairly picky when it comes to pizza. The crust had a nice crunch, sauce was tasty and the cheese was quality. Had a slice before I got home because it smelled fantastic.“

“Stella has made me happy with its excellent employees, taste and visuality. We ate pizza, pasta and dessert. The place is beautiful from the decorative acid. There is a pizza oven that you can watch in your case. The employees are cute. The only point I stuck on was that the girl standing at the head of the oven did not put a cap on her hair. Especially, it can be ensured that an employer in the eyes of Boyle pays a little more attention and does not have the mind of the customer. The customer quality is very good. Also, the waiters and the employees who stand for the door to meet are also very respectful.“

“Visiting Philadelphia over Easter. Ended up at Prunella Sunday afternoon. The Honey Fitzgerald cocktail was amazing! Ordered the Caesar salad which was a great surprise to the tastebuds, and the pizza was just so damn delicious. The service and atmosphere was perfect. Had dinner the previous evening at The Capital Grille, but I enjoyed Prunella for the casual feel and experience we had. Prunella will be first on my list when visiting Philadelphia next. I just loved everything about it!“

“If I could give ten stars, I would. This is some of the best food in town. You really can’t do much better. The menu is innovative and fuses deliciousness from different cultures. It is always fresh. It’s also consistent. The chefs there (yea they are chefs, not cooks) also help reduce food waste by making their own soup stocks. Have you tried the birria Raman? That consommé is liquid gold. It’s heady and dense. The soup alone is a meal.May I also add that the people who work there are solid individuals that genuinely love to cook and create. Please eat here.Kid-friendliness: All people welcomed here. All ages too!“

“I occasionally deliver mail along this stretch of town and when I do this is where I stop for lunch. I've lived in Philly for over thirty years now and I've had my fair share of cheesesteaks. This place has one of the best I've ever had. I know it surprised me too! I recently strayed and ordered mama's lasagne and mama knows exactly what she's doing. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a bite. There are daily soups, homemade Spanakopita and all the other regulars. Pizza, sandwiches, burgers and breakfast! Enjoy“

“This is seriously terrific pizza. We've gotten pizza from here twice and it's been excellent both times--honestly don't quite understand how this place doesn't get more buzz. Also, it's apparently founded and owned by an SJU grad named Anthony Pizza??? C'mon, it's just too perfect. The green olives and broccoli rabe are an A+ combo“
