“I’m in the area for just one night and needed to figure out where I could get a quick dinner. I saw Sophie’s Bistro and after getting a recommendation from a colleague, I made a reservation. It’s a really casual place; not pretentious in any way, but the bartender was both talented and conversational and made something off menu to enjoy. For dinner, I decided on French Onion Soup and Steak Frites and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Besides this, the bread service they bake in house is amazing and I learned about the owner and how he treats his people and that made me even happier that I came in. I wish we had a place like this where I live; I would be there all the time. I’m not sure when I’ll be back in the area, but next time I’m near Somerset, I know where I’ll do dinner. Give it a try, you’ll be happy“

“Dinner was lovely! Our server, Abby?, was excellent. Appetizers were outstanding (mushroom soup, creamy mushrooms on brioche, and the long hots with mushrooms). My cauliflower steak was fantastic, and my husband's sablefish was very tender. Dessert was a delicious chocolate bread pudding. Cocktails were very good as well. Sauvignon Blanc was ok. “This is my second visit to The Dinky Bar and Grill in Princeton which offers great views of the campus. We were going to see a play at McCarter and it is so convenient being across the street. The Dinky has an intimate vibe. Being the original Train Depot the feel of the place is still a train depot which I love. The menu is limited but certainly enough to choose from. There are shareable plates as well full entrees. Very good food and drinks. Our server Kayla was amazing. She needs to be recognized because she was extraordinary. A very busy place pre theater but Kayla never stopped smiling Great experience all around. Will definitely be going again.“

“This was our first time at Don Pepe but not our last. There is a huge menu which includes many Peruvian specialties. Our lovely young waitress was delighted to describe these dishes in detail and after listening to any of our food preferences, made several recommendations. We ordered a variety of main courses and all four in our party were delighted with their choice. Portions are huge - my husband and I each took home enough for another meal. We did not drink that night but I looked at the drink menu which had a variety of Peruvian specialties along with the more common choices one might find and prices were very reasonable. There is a friendly, family atmosphere. On a Sunday night it was very busy so suggest making reservations“

“Love the place. They changed the menu last week and took a lot of favorites out. The fried potatoes, gnocchi sorrento, the spicy arrabbiata sauce. The tomato as well as mushroom burrata was so good. The fig burrata on the menu now is Ok. Can you please bring these back in the menu. Love the restaurant and the service!! We always get an amazing server. Nust not enough choices on the menu any more“
