“I finally made it to RBar after finding out about it from Instagram. Me and my daughter went for brunch on Sunday and it was amazing. From the host to our waiter and the other waiters that also checked on on us were wonderful. We went as soon as it open so we had the outside to ourselves. If you haven't been or had it on your list...go you wont be disappointed. We tried the crab beignets, they were nice light. Not the beignets in Nola but still delicious. For brunch we tried the Red Neck eggs supreme and steak and eggs, also very delicious. For the drinks we tried the slushy and the pb&j also so tasty. I can't wait to go back for the dinner and the live band.“

“One of our friend’s favorite restaurants, we braved the downpour and flooding to arrive early to a friendly welcome. Prompt service and a great menu, especially if you like seafood and plenty of other choices, beef, chicken, pasta and pork. The Appetizers were delicious as were the desserts. The carafe of house Pino Grigio was very good as was my Chianti. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, larger than I thought it would be with a very attentive staff. Definitely worth a number of visits to sample so many entrees.“

The food was good and well prepared, but in a town with so many outstanding restaurants, I’d describe it as slightly above average rather than a must-visit destination. The menu has something for everyone, but it didn’t quite stand out in Asbury Park’s highly competitive dining scene.

That said, if you’re looking for a casual spot with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and a solid meal after (or during) a day at the beach or walking the boardwalk, Swimcrush is a good choice.“

“We’ve been going to Illiano’s nearly 36 years. It’s been great since day 1. We usually do takeout and find the pizza, subs and garlic knots to be the best in Monmouth County. When we moved out of town about 3 years ago we tried to find something that was comparable and closer, but that didn’t work out so make the trip back just about every Friday night. “Stopped by the newly opened Gigi’s in Long Branch on my way to the beach. First off, loved that they have a parking lot which didn’t stress me about finding a spot cause I was going to have that adventure when I headed to the beach. I ordered the grandma’s pie and garlic knots! The grandma’s pie had pesto on it and I am a s***** for pesto!! Love the crust style being crispy. Hands down the best garlic knots I ever had! Don’t sleep on this place. It’s 3 blocks from the beach, easy parking and they deliver. I look forward to some pasta dishes on my next visit! Other key likes of mine was the aesthetic, it’s beautiful Inside but decorated to make you feel outside. I was very impressed with the kid friendly atmosphere of the chalkboard wall, beanbag seats and they even have juice boxes on hand for the kiddos. They also accommodate our tweens and teens with a pizza wing mural for their insta! They really thought of everything. The whole staff were so accommodating and genuine. In addition, for the first time in memory in a restaurant, we did not have our senses blasted by deafening and distorting amplification or pounding tympani. Instead of punishing us into submission, the music actually enhanced our dining experience. Why restaurants play insanely loud music at dining time is beyond me. But Scarborough Fair got it right.“

“Been going to Max’s since I was kid & they were on the Boardwalk. Still the best hot dog I’ve ever had. Also love their crispy onion rings, steak fries, zucchini fries & sweet potato fries. Other menu items look good however I cannot go to Max’s without getting their famous hot dog!“
