They tasted good, and left me wanting more. So, I will definitely be going back to give a try to some of there other menu options.“

“We happened upon this gem purely by chance. We had an amazing meal from A-Z (!!!) The sushi is phenomenal; sit at the newly designed sushi bar in the back and enjoy unique daily catches that come in through the connections the owner has with local fishermen. The restaurant is also known for their aged steaks, and Kobe prime rib, which we will try next time. I had the miso black bass and it was one of the best flavors with fish I have ever had. The broth had such a delicate shiitake mushroom flavor, which I loved. I literally couldn’t have had enough of this delicate, delicious dish. I could have had two orders and eaten it all! I think this dish epitomizes what the word UMAMI means. I also had the sautéed mushroom extravaganza, a treat for every taste bud of incredible flavors melted with a delicate sauce. My husband had their unique collection of sushi and sashimi choices that were all enjoyed at their stunningly beautiful sushi bar, complete with two young, passionate chefs who love what they do, and treasure their personal designs of the fish and rolls. All the rolls are presented in this great wooden cradle design, which I thought was so unique and functional. The owner was all smiles and genuinely happy to have had us try his new restaurant. I recommend it highly for either an exceptional steak meal (all are btw, so reasonably priced so order them for sure), or the traditional sushi. You won’t be disappointed. This will be our weekly go-to restaurant and we are counting the days until we will return, which actually will be next Tuesday the 9th! “Let me preface this by saying I ordered this on DoorDash.

Now I was surfing DoorDash one night (tonight) because I was craving sushi but didn’t want to spend too much on it, was just hoping to get a fill of fish so was looking for cheap “low quality” sushi, and I stumbled onto this gem.

Even the menu on the app looked a bit fancy for “low quality” sushi (Japanese WAGYU sushi??) so I decided to try it out. Wow.

First off, the price. The price is on par with some of the other revolving sushi restaurants, but definitely cheaper than more formal sit down restaurants. Secondly, THE QUALITY. Not ONE of the sushi’s I ordered (I ordered pretty much one of everything, my wallet’s cooked) was fishy. Everything tasted fresh. The Yuzu salmon as well as the Japanese wagyu was to die for (I literally moaned). THE WASABI IS REAL WASABI. You don’t understand, these things aren’t typical of a revolving sushi restaurant, especially not for one of this price point.

Anyways, I don’t normally write reviews let alone take photos of food for reviews, but I took some just for yall because this restaurant blew my expectations out of the water. I can’t wait to visit in person someday soon.“

“One of the best Japanese hand rolls I’ve had in so long! I can’t believe this place exists in Chinatown. Everything was so tasty, especially the miso cod hand roll. We also liked the sweet potato roll as well. Somehow we liked the wagyu one the least. But overall, very remarkable place!“

“My third time back and Yanaga, and it didn't disappoint! I love the mini tasting they offer - such a great deal since I can't always spring for the full omakase. The sushi is fresh and delicious, the cocktails are creative and complex, and the happy hour deals are so worth it! I tried the wagyu hot dog for the first time and even though I came there for the raw fish, that was a standout menu item for me.
The ambiance is laid back and fun, never pretentious. The waitresses and friendly and knowledgeable and never made me feel rushed.

“I think it’s my favorite take out sushi nowadays. Yes, we haven’t been served inside but we got multiple times take out and it’s pretty consistent and delicious! You know what is my favorite - it’s Tuna Hako Maki, it’s just what you want from tuna :) Volcano Maki is not what you think it’s better! Try it! Also my child likes chicken, so we get him Chicken Katsu and its generous portion and has sides, a lot of sides: miso soup, rice and sauce, salad too. It seems a good deal for Katsu dish. “Been searching for good japanese restaurant for quite some time. Let me just say that Mikado far exceeded our expectations. From tge appetizers to dinner, it was exceptional. Our server, Michelle, was great. We had tge seared pepper tuna sushi app - so fresh and delicious. My husband had the hibachi with filet and lobster - amazing too. My son had the combo udon noodles - ate every bite! We had the tempura banana dessert - delicious as well as the chocolate mousse cake and coppa cafe. Amy at the front desk was so gracious and sweet. “First time trying out this place. We wanted to try a different Hibachi and my mom was searching some places and came across this one with great prices. It was my birthday today so that was the main reason we did Hibachi and it was a really nice time. It wasn’t as roomy as I thought it would be but it was still really nice. I got the salmon and it was okay not the greatest and they give you small petite. I’m used to a nice salmon from other places but never had salmon at a hibachi place before. The shrimp was really good and tasty. The vegetables and rice were great too. We got fried ice cream for dessert it was really delicious. We had a total of 6 people and the bill came to $243. I had a nice time overall. Would come again but I wouldn’t get the salmon. I’d get the shrimp. Also we had soup and salad and they were really delicious as well.“
