“Rudra Indian Bistro on Cedar Lane is authentic as it gets. We have been here so many times and will always keep coming back because the food is high quality, healthy, and very delicious. We always start with the House Salad which is a great way to begin your meal. The Tandoori chicken is so juicy and succulent, and the Lamb Korma is one of our favorites. I highly recommend Rudra Indian Bistro! One of the best restaurants of Teaneck...“

“Amazing food, super flavorful and very light feeling where you don’t feel gross after eating. Service was great shoutout to Rakesh, very kind and fast server. And the fact that it is HALAL on top it, incredible. I go to a lot of Indian restaurants and this is one of best places I’ve been to.“

“We were in the city for 3 nights. I made reservations for the second and third nights. Left night one open. I found Saar online, it was less than a block from our hotel so we figured we'd give them a try. So glad we did. Nice place. Great, friendly service (Karim is the man!), and excellent food. I ended up cancelling the reservations I made for night 3 and we went back to Saar. Give them a try if you like Indian food. It was amazing!“

“Butter chicken, goat doori kebab is to die for. Roomali Roti - just had it after ages. No doubt NYC has an Indian restaurant which can compete with the likes of Dum Pukht in India.“

“This is a nice, smaller Indian restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was very good. The prices were very reasonable, especially for NYC. The meals were good sized portions- we were disappointed that we couldn't take our leftovers back to our hotel because it lacked a fridge and microwave- would've made a great lunch the next day.
We shared Tandoori Chicken, Saag Paneer, Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan- ALL very good. They do not serve alcohol- that was the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. A nice cocktail or beer would have gone along well with the meal. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the food.“

“From outside it looks like Small boutique Restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine & I just found it while roaming around streets of New York during recent visit & this accidental discovery didn't let me down, food quality & quantity both are amazing, owner is present almost from 11 am to 11 pm & staff is courteous, highly recommended as I visited all the sought after restaurants in town but this one stands out for the gourmet Indian food.“

“Overall, it was pretty good. Chili chicken momos were really good and stayed crispy even when cooked in sauce. The garlic naan was fantastic and very well made. The vegetable thali was overall really good, but the dal was a little bland, in my opinion. They're very generous with the amount of rice they give you.
I was a little disappointed by the tandoori chicken. It was a little underseasoned, and one of the pieces was very overcooked and dry. The butter chicken was made well and tasted alright; it was too sweet/not savory enough for me. Too much added sugar, personally.
Service was good.“

“Do you ever just walk into a place and KNOW it’s going to get a 5 star review!?! Well, Gulab Indian Restaurant was this place. I cannot rave enough about the food, it was just amazing. And oh my God, the prices! Oh my God, the prices are AMAZING. First time in my life fine Indian cuisine was actually affordable. One of my favorite things about this place was the candles, they’re not electric! Lastly, the customer service was top line. The gentlemen working this store were so respectful and helpful. Would come back any day!“

“Needed Indian food, this place delivered!! Very authentic. Samosa were delicious. Lamb Vindaloo was on point. Staff made sure the spi e was not going to be too much, and it was perfectly spiced. Chana Masla was very flavorful. Service was great, very helpful, and always on top of it. Boxed up the leftovers for me.
Vegetarian options: Typical Indian vegetarian food.“

“We had a great experience here just a few minutes ago when we were here for lunch. The food was really tasty. The server also took a lot of interest and asked questions about what we liked and suggested tasty entrées that we could order. We had a great time and we would come again. Thank you, Bombay Grill House.“

“I remember when this location was actually a cuban sandwich joint, then a pizza place that had nice pizza, then it became Spicy Bytes, my girlfriend and I were always so curious about this place but due to the odd weekday hours we never were able to tell if they were open. It was one day a week or two ago that I was walking around with my girlfriend where she suggested we try this place out since we noticed it was opened! Upon entering a young woman welcomed us warmly and showed us the menu, and took a seat. We ordered a Butter Chicken Curry to share and two orders of garlic naan bread, and got the curry at a medium spice level since my girlfriend can't handle spicy stuff at all, and she ADORED IT!
Upon taking her first bite of the butter chicken my girlfriends eyes lit up and widened, it was also her first time trying Indian food so I could tell she was very much hooked. We enjoyed our meal and were asked by the young lady if we needed anything else through out our meal, which I really appreciated. After eating we were both very satisfied and definitely plan on coming back for more. I am surprised they haven't done much with the interior since the last place since it still very much feels like the previous pizza place, but it honestly didn't bother me as this places food is something you should not miss :)“

“While in NYC we had a craving for Indian food, and Bombay Chowk was a great choice.
The Indian restaurants we are used to have spiciness scales when ordering, but at Bombay Chowk the food is prepared at set levels of spice.
My wife had the chicken Tikka Masala and it was slightly sweet. Still flavorful and tasty.
I opted for chicken Vindaloo and the server warned me it would be spicy. Thankfully I’m used to spicy Vindaloo and oh boy did it pack a punch. Very flavorful, the sauce was thick and more like a stew than a curry. The chicken was cooked well and not dry.
All in all, it’s a solid option for Indian food in NYC.“

“Best meal I’ve had in a long time! I ordered takeout and already can’t wait to go back. I got the paneer tika masala and garlic naan which were both incredible. When I went to pick it up the atmosphere felt both cozy and sophisticated, and next time I go I definitely want to dine in person. The staff were very friendly as well!“

It's hard to debate if food was good or the service, if I choose one it will not do justice .so final verdict best food along with best service“

“Biryani is super flavorful and curries are great. But there are no reservations for this location resulting in a long wet and cold wait in the rain. Pair that with the blast of chill air every time the door opens and the crowded space this location might not be worthy visiting compared to the other.“

“Delicious food and drinks! Friendly host/server. Highly recommend the fish curry and chana masala. We also had a couple of the bar bites (okra, chile paneer, cauliflower - all delicious). Small place with cute bar seating and a nice outdoor patio. Easy for takeout as well.“

“I celebrated my birthday with my best friend, and we started with aloo tikki chaat and paneer tikka for appetizers, followed by malai kofta and garlic naan for the main course. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff provided excellent service. “First time I had Indian food was a few years ago in NC, and I was NOT impressed. We were up visiting my sister in Ridgewood and we went out for fathers day dinner at Tabla. We ordered a bunch of different appetizers and entrees and we shared them all. I was absolutely impressed. I totally enjoyed EVERY item. I especially liked the curry fish with coconut milk. The service was exceptional and very friendly, it was an entirely enjoyable experience. I heartily recommend this Indian Restaurant in Ridgewood, NJ.“

“We recently had Vicky Vij catering the wedding of our daughter. All I have to say is they are exceptional in all ways-- service, food quality and taste, hospitality, price. Vicky went the extra mile to make sure that every thing was perfect. All the quests appreciated and the compliments were endless. I wish Vicky Vij the best and wish that his name is not tarnished by others.“

“The salmon saag is delicious! The fish is not overcooked. The background Indian music is lovely and not loud. The owner is so nice. He even said he's conscious to never allow the sounds of banging pots and pans to escape from the kitchen to bother guests. So sweet and thoughtful!“

“Great Indian food in the neighborhood. The food was rich with many flavors and came really fast. It was obvious it was all hand made like the samosa which had an original filling.
We took the kebab, a dish of palak paneer and dal makhani. Everything was super tasty. The garlic naan was also great.
We sat downstairs which was cosy and really felt like being in India again!
The only problem was the door which was opening up all the time and it was a bit cold for my taste.
Definitely will be back again!“

“Chola is easily the best Indian restaurant in all of Manhattan and Northern Jersey. My wife and I drive in bi-weekly for their awesome food and ever changing menu. “Came here on a Friday night. We made a reservation but arrived way earlier, they still were kind enough to accommodate us. The vibe is great, very candlelight and with music but not deafening. I’m not a very spicy food-tolerant person but I could enjoy our food nonetheless. Don’t leave without trying the Railway chicken. Drinks were tasty, kinda on the expensive side ($~20 per cocktail)“

“This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Astoria, possibly all of Queens! The food is always so satisfying and home-y, pretty much like mom-made food that I grew up on. Love their lamb korma especially and the fennel chicken curry which is very simple and comforting, home style curry. The paneer makhani and parsi shrimp curry are also amazing, as are most of the dishes they serve really. And the service is always top notch, super friendly and helpful staff and delivery is quick. The food and service has remained consistent throughout the years, and the restaurant has only gotten better with their move to the new location on 30th Ave. Occasionally I've wished they would introduce a new item or two on the menu, but other than that it's still a neighborhood gem and our go-to for South Asian food in Astoria.
Update: we moved out of Astoria after decades and still go back to Seva or pick up food from there at any opportunity when we're passing through the neighborhood. I will always be a fan!“

“We’ve now been twice and we can’t wait to go back for a 3rd time soon. Foremost, the space is so beautifully decorated. You’re really transported back to the NY speakeasy days of the early 1900s. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the Daisy’s southern bits, roaring 20s Shrimp, Chilean sea bass, lamb chops, duck vindaloo…AND coconut naan. All were perfectly executed! Lastly, and you can’t miss these…the desserts are out of control. Chocolate cake and Guava Cheesecake!! You gotta save room. Alex also provided us with top notch service. We love this place!“

“The food came out extremely promptly and the service was awesome. Our waiter Islam, made sure that we always had what we needed, refilled water without being prompted and allowed us time to make our order! Now our food was super tasty! I ordered the vegetable Samoa which was gigantic and came with two. We also we served friend dough with two sauces. Both were tasty but I think the green one was my favorite. We got the chicken vindaloo and it was very tasty. I would put a cautionary warning, it is very spicy. I’m Haitian and so I love spicy and this was right up my alley but if you’re a mild salsa kinda gal I would definitely order milk with it. Overall, the atmosphere was very calm and pretty. I really liked the decorations and light fixtures. The drink options pair well with the plates they offer as well. 10/10 I would recommend to my friends.“
