“This is one of the very few places I purchase Chinese food from!! My go to order is always Boneless Spare Ribs (extra crispy) with Pork Fried Rice dinner combo!!! The best in all of the area!!! I’ve been coming to this location for well over a year and I never have had a bad day with them!! Food is always fresh and flavorful!! Must Get the home made ice tea you will be hooked!!!! Must stop and grab whenever in the area!!!“

“Little disappointed at this place. Saw they had Crispy Beef with Fresh Honey Walnuts Beef with a bed of steamed broccoli in a sweet brown sauce topped with sugared walnuts. Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry . Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.“

“I absolutely love the food here. I get it every now and then and the food is always hot, delicious, and cooked perfectly! They’re always on top of the orders and will always let you know in case there’s a minimal wait. I’ve tried multiple dishes and they all taste absolutely amazing. You can order online or in store (cash only in store but there’s an ATM). The owner is very sweet and friendly as well! She always knows what I order immediately. “What up guys! So I have been going here for my lunch break at least 3 times a week for the last 3 years and let me tell you, they are super friendly, CONSISTENT fresh food, great customer service. I highly recommend giving trying this place out. I either get shrimp w/broccoli with white rice, chicken w/broccoli in garlic sauce extra garlic sauce with white rice, 2 spicy salmon rolls and 2 spicy tuna rolls w/spicy mayo and eel sauce on the side oh yeah they have sushi too..😌, or chicken wings with shrimp fried rice I enjoy changing it up because everything is really that good.“

“We are seriously SO impressed with Essex Chinese Kitchen. The food is amazing — everything tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and high quality. And on top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the portions you get.

We ordered the bubble teas (brown sugar milk tea and original milk tea), and they were SO good — perfectly balanced with that floral black tea flavor coming through. Not overly sweet, just smooth and refreshing.

I got the golden fried brown shrimp with fried rice and it was FIRE. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and broccoli, and they absolutely do NOT skimp on portions. The serving sizes were generous and so satisfying.

The staff were also super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

“The staff is nice and how can you not like a 91 year old man? The Mai Thai and zombie paired well with the food and the decor of the restaurant. The pu pu platter was delicious, my favorite was either the shrimp toast or Hawaii beef. For the main course we got the lobster soma and lychee pineapple duck, the lobster comes in this tasty slightly spicy brown sauce and the duck was sweet but not overwhelming, the meat was tender and plentiful. My mother had come here as child around when they first opened, since I just moved up here within the year my mother came to and said we had to come here, I’m glad we did. I’d definitely come back!“

I had found one takeout place in Mendham that has done really well for years and when I work in that area I order it. On a whim I asked them how theirs was and said I would let her know. I stopped eating just to write how much I love this spot. I order almost once a week. The food never disappoints and I believe they truly deserve 5 stars. They have wonderful customer service, always pleasant when I call, speedy delivery, and quality food (and packaging) There is no other chinese food in bergen country i’ve found that I can say has all of these qualities about them. “The Jersey City location of Wonder, has me in a chokehold. Karian made the entire atmosphere so welcoming, that from my experience working in food hospitality, her shod is the best shift. They communicated effectively and efficiently. They had fun while pushing out orders. I almost want to jump back there and help out just so I could feel like I was a part of the team and not a guest. Karian and BoH went above and beyond for my order, answering every question I had and even provided me tips on which is form of ordering is better. I love this place and the staff. There is no denial of asking for more portions even if the ceo says that staff will do it upon request but your request gets denied. “This restaurant most closely resembles the chinese food you get in nyc, it's good. The food is tastes great. They have a lunch special. It's affordable compared to other "Chinese" restaurants in town. They also deliver.

Parking: Parking along Bloomfield Ave is always tough. I wouldn't recommend double parking. There are paid lots in town.

“Fairlawn's Hunan Wok is a fantastic restaurant. I've been going there for approximately 15 years, and I still really like the meal. Although their cuisine isn't as greasy as that of some Chinese restaurants, I would argue that their pricing are a little expensive! Anyone in the neighborhood searching for delicious Cantonese cuisine should definitely check it out, in my opinion. The proprietors are welcoming and will always make you feel welcome.“

I ordered sesame chicken combo and the Mongolian beef. They were both super good. I don’t normally like my sesame chicken a little spicy and they made it just right for me.
The customer service is also great. I had accidentally ordered white rice with the Mongolian beef and when I picked up my order they switched it to fried rice right away with no extra charge.
