Everything tastes super fresh, flavorful - even down to the chocolate in the chocolate croissant (it's like...not standard dark chocolate. I dont know what it is but its great and I enjoy it). “What a lovely bakery! I had one of the oat bars, the chocolate babka, and the hibiscus tea and each item was absolute perfection. As a habitual tea drinker, I could tell the leaves used were high quality and the taste was complex and tangy. The oat bar was the perfect mix of tart and sweet. And the BABKA…to die for—chocolately, pillowy dough, rich…who can ask for more? Also the woman who took my order was so kind and helpful! Wonderful spot with great service!! Editing to add: my roommate says the chocolate babka is better than breads bakery (who is famous for theirs) and I agree!!!!“

“I visited Yummy Tummy bakery for the first time today, with five other friends of mine to support a Black-owned business during Black History Month. The owner Melissa and Kaylan made the entire experience a delight. The two of them made sure we got all of our treats in a timely manner and treated us with such care. The sweets themselves were absolutely delicious. The fruity pebble cupcake particularly was the perfect amount of sweet, moist, and airy. If you’re in the neighborhood, I’d definitely recommend you stop by!“

You taste the quality of the ingredients and the love they put while cooking them. The fact that Carrie was answering me while the business is close is a sign that she’s passionate and that she care about her client. They’re on the expensive side compared to other bakery, but once you compare you understand why… You taste the butter in everything! “Bread is always soooo yummy and flavorful! Favorite bread is the white concha and one that looks like a croissant but taste like hojaldra orangey flavor I loveeeee. Also the rosca the best ever. They’re not stingy with the sweet sugary part of the rosca there’s enough for all for the amount they add. The place is semi empty perfect for taking ur time in choosing ur bread. Oh and the peach 3leches slices are good.“

“I can’t say enough good things about One the Cake. After an order error left me scrambling last minute, the owner went above and beyond to accommodate me and completely saved the day.

The cake was absolutely beautiful and unbelievably delicious — truly the first time ever that an entire cake was finished at a birthday dinner. Not a single slice left. We even shared it with the restaurant staff, and they were so impressed they asked where the cake was from because they couldn’t believe how good it was.

“I keep going back to this bakery ever since I tried their prosciutto baguette - if you’re lucky to get your hands on one, you’ll likely eat it all in one sitting, so I always recommend getting 2. Their sourdough is also very affordable under $8 and they slice it for you.

The cappuccino was a little piece of heaven, the desserts were just a tad sinful, and the whole experience felt like a visit to the Holy Chapel of buttercream and chocolate.

If you find yourself anywhere near Arthur Ave., De Lillo is an essential pilgrimage.
