“First time in this place.... And man on man the food, the customer service and just the atmosphere was a great vibe . It actually felt like I was in Puerto Rico when I was eating the food. Every bite you take is an explosion in your mouth. I left the place wanting a bed. I ordered Christmas in July and the shrimp mofongo and the taste of the food was out of this world. “I want to get the bad out of the way first. I do feel the prices are a bit on the expensive side by a few bucks, especially for a local restaurant. They charge NYC prices. They should also make sure the menu prices match what they charge. I was going to take a star away for the price but what I write next will explain why I didn't.The food here is absolutely delicious. I have come here for breakfast and dinner and I am never disappointed in the food. The people that work here also seem very nice. I've never had issues with the service. The ladies here seem like they are in a good mood and they are working hard. All their food is good but I want to put my focus on their beans. I am a bean loving Puerto Rican and if you are a Latino restaurant that sells beans...they better be good. Well, this place has great beans. I appreciate the flavor and consistency of the beans. There are places that give you watery or watered down beans and it is a practice that I look down on because these places don't respect the details of the beans. As for my favorite dish, I am a simple guy and I enjoy their breaded chicken with rice and beans. I will also say that their version of arroz moro is absolutely great. So yes it is a bit more expensive but the richness of the food and the portions that you get will certainly make it more palatable. For this reason, I did not take a star away.“

“When I first moved in the area last year, they were a little run down but stayed producing THE BEST chinese/american style takeout in the city. Recently they’ve started adding new signs and lights, new plants and beautiful decor. They deserve it!! I’m so happy they’re continuing to thrive as their food is a strong 10/10. The owners are extremely sweet too and speak both spanish and english fluently. I’ve spoken to the husband and wife about their shop and learned they have kids they are extremely proud of. As you can tell I go here OFTEN and for good reason haha even the chicken nuggets are amazing. They really don’t Ever screw Anything up. I adore this place!!!

Yes the prices have gone up but so have the prices of materials for restaurants, I’m certain they’re increases are necessary for them to just, function and pay their employees. Regardless of that, I will keep returning. My only gripe is with the tortilla soup, that one is really really expensive for the amount that you get. But the street style tacos, the Birria tacos, the quesadillas, the enchiladas, the guacamole,… It’s always incredible.“
