“Had the chicken sandwich - absolutely phenomenal. Cant wait to come back for an entree. My girlfriend liked her burger, home made fries were soft and crunchy with bits of coarse salt. So good. Ed the owner was so hospitable and Victoria our server was very sweet. Highly recommend for casual date night with big flavor. Will be back - definitely recommend.“

“Excellent restaurant serving a variety of Mexican and Mexican-inspired dishes, and some Sinaloan options like aguachile. It's hard to go wrong with any of the guacamoles, starters, or tacos. The aguachile and ceviches we've tried have been good. Was pleasantly surprised by their cocktails. Particularly like the Fridita and the Paloma. The couple that runs the restaurant is very kind. Nice ambiance too“

“When I first moved in the area last year, they were a little run down but stayed producing THE BEST chinese/american style takeout in the city. Recently they’ve started adding new signs and lights, new plants and beautiful decor. They deserve it!! I’m so happy they’re continuing to thrive as their food is a strong 10/10. The owners are extremely sweet too and speak both spanish and english fluently. I’ve spoken to the husband and wife about their shop and learned they have kids they are extremely proud of. As you can tell I go here OFTEN and for good reason haha even the chicken nuggets are amazing. They really don’t Ever screw Anything up. I adore this place!!!

We also shared some bacalaitos and ensalada de escabeche. Authentic Puerto Rican flavors, which are hard to come by in this area now, we where happy campers.
Beautiful decor, and everything was lovely and clean. Kudos to new owner/ management (Edwin), who was super engaged with every single customer! I am looking forward to new menu expansions that he mentioned, such as breakfast and a slew of liber flavors, which he gave us a sample of coconut as complimentary. Will be back.“

Our server was so hospitable, she always had refills for our drinks before we finished them and despite being very, very busy - she was still so polite and went out of her way to sing happy birthday to my son. “Consistently good food, I’ve never been disappointed by this place. I moved to Weehawken in 2021 and every single time I get food from here it’s magnificent. Yes the prices have gone up but so have the prices of materials for restaurants, I’m certain they’re increases are necessary for them to just, function and pay their employees. Regardless of that, I will keep returning. My only gripe is with the tortilla soup, that one is really really expensive for the amount that you get. But the street style tacos, the Birria tacos, the quesadillas, the enchiladas, the guacamole,… It’s always incredible.“

I have come here for breakfast and dinner and I am never disappointed in the food. The people that work here also seem very nice. I've never had issues with the service. The ladies here seem like they are in a good mood and they are working hard. All their food is good but I want to put my focus on their beans. I am a bean loving Puerto Rican and if you are a Latino restaurant that sells beans...they better be good. Well, this place has great beans. I appreciate the flavor and consistency of the beans. There are places that give you watery or watered down beans and it is a practice that I look down on because these places don't respect the details of the beans. As for my favorite dish, I am a simple guy and I enjoy their breaded chicken with rice and beans. I will also say that their version of arroz moro is absolutely great. So yes it is a bit more expensive but the richness of the food and the portions that you get will certainly make it more palatable. For this reason, I did not take a star away.“
