“The food here is very good! The price is reasonable for the amount of food they give you. The service is fast! I usually go during my lunchtime and enjoy their arroz chofa with a natural juice. The last at the register is a very sweet girl and the owner is also extremely nice. I walked in one day and then went there back to back for three days 😅😅😅 Not many options to pick around the area but this one is my favorite lunch spot for sure !“

“Luchitas Bakery – A Peruvian Delight with Great Flavor and Quality

I was looking for a cake for a special occasion and came across Luchitas Bakery online, so I decided to give it a try. The service was good from the start, which is always a positive sign. To test the quality first, I ordered a few desserts.

We tried a lemon pie that was decent—not extraordinary but pleasant. The Black Forest cake was definitely the highlight—very tasty with a great balance of flavors. We also had a tres leches cake that wasn’t too sweet, just how I like it, and it was really good.

After these tastings, I decided to order a small cake for $60. The prices are a bit higher compared to other Peruvian bakeries, so we initially thought this would be a one-time option.

However, when I went to pick up the cake, I was pleasantly surprised. Although it looked small in size, the cake’s height was impressive, and it was beautifully decorated. Once I tasted it, I confirmed it was worth every penny—it was truly delicious.

If you don’t mind spending a little extra for a great-tasting, well-presented cake, I would definitely recommend giving Luchitas Bakery“

“This place has hands down some of the best Peruvian food in NJ. So far everything I’ve tried has been carefully crafted and tastes absolutely amazing. They’ve recently rolled out a new lucuma dessert with marshmallow and chocolate flakes, and much like the rest of the menu, it does not disappoint. Huge shout out to Juana and Justin, even though the place absolutely packed, they were always checking in on us making sure we felt at home and had everything we needed. Can’t recommend this spot enough.“

“Food here is truly exceptional. I’ve visited countless times, both on my own and with family and it remains one of my absolute favorite restaurants. Every dish I’ve ordered has been consistently outstanding. I can honestly say I’ve never left disappointed.

The atmosphere, however, can be hit or miss for me. It tends to get a bit loud at times. While some guests may enjoy the live music or small performances, I personally find that it detracts slightly from the overall dining experience. Still, the quality and consistency of the food easily keep me coming back.“

“I decided to check this place out because it was close to where my sister lives haha. She's never been there before, and it was her birthday. I was a little worried because I wasn't sure of how big this place was and what kind of offerings they would have. Their menu, however, is extensive. So many options. We got a paella-like dish, chicharrone, a fried mariscoes appetizer, a steak dish, a chicken dish, a limeade, a purple sweet potatoes drink.. and a sample of pastries on top of the birthday tort.. a very good experience, and a very accommodating and patient staff . I highly recommend this place ! ! And I plan on coming back sooner rather than later ! !“

I had the double fried wings and sloppy joe bao bun for a starter and each dish was better than the last. the wings were super crispy yet tender inside and the sloppy joe bao buns were a trip down memory lane. the sloppy brought me back to my childhood eating at a friend's house. for my ramen I had the tonkatu. their pork broth was hearty and tasteful and reminded me of my first bowl of real ramen. I highly recommend going there and finding out on your own...“

“Absolutely incredible experience! The food was fresh, authentic, and bursting with flavor. Every dish had that perfect balance of seasoning that Peruvian cuisine is known for. The ceviche was bright and delicious, the lomo saltado was cooked perfectly, and the sauces were out of this world.

The service was fast, warm, and genuinely welcoming — you can tell the staff takes pride in what they do. The restaurant itself was clean, stylish, and had a great atmosphere.

“I was in town to visit to see cats at Rahway Kitty Hall. This restaurant is right next store. I stopped into get something to eat. I was impressed with the ambience of the restaurant. My Spanish is not so great, but the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The food I had was very good. I am interested in people from other cultures and their food. I will surely go there again and try another dish.“

“Love this place! Brought my family here for the first time now knowing exactly what to expect. First off, the waiters were very friendly! The menu has ALOT to choose from. And their portion size was ALOT bigger than expected! We ordered the seafood ceviche, Lomo saltado, and the beef heart bbq (anticuchos)- and it was DELICIOUS! We were even eyeing the food that the other customers had ordered talking about how good it looked. And FYI their crispiness is on a whole nother level. I will definitely be looking forward to coming back!“

“My experience here was good. I loved the food. I tried a little bit of everything they had like the ribs, rice, and soup. The restaurant is tiny inside but they do have enough tables if you prefer to eat inside. I’m not sure what the theme or culture of the place is, all I know it’s hispanic. If you’re in the neighborhood come check this place out!“

Can’t judge a restaurant on one dish
It was my first time trying this place, and I just have the pollo a la brasa rotisserie chicken. To me the star of the meal was the hot green sauce, that accompanied the chicken, but the chicken was also savory.
Now, I tried the chicha morada, purple corn drink, and it was so sweet that I couldn’t figured out if it was from real corn or what was made of. Prices are good, portions too, the place is comfortable and is located in a small plaza with parking lot.“
