The primary reason for the 4 stars is that they really need an inexpensive little kid size even smaller than junior, because this is too pricey and the portions are too big for littler kids.“

“It's a place I've been coming to for a long time. The people who provide very good service are friendly and they know us now. When they see us from afar, our table is ready. Everything we eat is memorized. When we sit down at the table, a medium-sized kunefe and a large thermos are delivered. While we sip our tea and eat our kunefe, we look at the coin transactions. “I love Italian ices and although I prefer CJ’s Ices in Bayonne, NJ, my boyfriend and I decided to stop at the Rita’s on Broad Street in Bloomfield yesterday.He got a pint-sized cotton candy and I got a large Swedish fish/cotton candy mixed. Absolutely delicious & refreshing, though I notice Rita’s ices melt considerably quicker than CJ’s & Ralph’s in Staten Island.The service is quick & efficient though the girls who work there tend to have a habit of slamming the window in your face once the transaction is completed, not giving the customer an opportunity to say “thank you.”One cool thing about this specific Rita’s is Holsten’s across the street, where the final scene of the last episode of the Sopranos was filmed. “Nice little cosey place. Out door seating in the back over looking the water with water fountains. The girls that work there are very nice and the service is great. Just wish they were open a little later. They close at 8:00 pm. Nice place to hang out for lunch or after work. During the warm weather you can stay in the back outside after they close. Just wish they were open till 9:00 or 10:00 pm., especially during the winter.Parking: Street parking, but always plenty of spots.“

“This is one of the best ice cream in the area. I went today though and was a little unhappy for the girl helping me out was a little rude also I asked for cones and she put them in a cup and chucked them really hard into the bag (while the other girl was filling my bag) like veryyy unnecessarily hard.Also I understand why they wear gloves but if they touch money/cards with the gloves they have on then touch your cone that you are going to eat then wearing gloves are kind of pointless.. but once again the ice cream is delicious (especially the caramel pretzel)“

The small size was pretty big. Next time I would get a kids size. Also surprised there were so many customers on a Monday early afternoon. The line kept moving ! I will return, since my doctor’s office is the area :). Would recommend!“
