“The signature flavor of Spanish cuisine is its mixture of sweet and savory. The bacon wrapped dates tapas and roasted pork with peach are very much the representation of such unique mixture. The taste is definitely natural to many, but one can experience the exquisite taste by slowly grind through the meat. The crispy potato tapas was a very nice delight where the outer layer was fried just right so that the inside was very soft, also hidden on the bottom of the plate was a hint of chili pepper powder which resembles Sichuan cuisine. Overall, a very nice Spanish tapas restaurant.“

“Seafood pimps was the best decision I could had made to celebrate my 56th birthday. I decided to purchase the Nexf ix & Chill. First the presentation was SUPERB. The crabs, mussels and shrimp were FRESH and DELECTABLE. The vegetables were seasoned to perfection. least of them all the amount that you receive is enough to feed a full size family, and we only ordered for two. I will definitely be back. I recommend Seafood Pimps to anyone that enjoy fresh mouth watering seafood.“

I’m a huge fan of local mom & pop Italian deli’s…good thing there’s a plethora of these here in Bergen County.

I perused the menu before heading over as I recently took a job not far from here and saw the description of a sandwich on their website that really jumped out to me. It was their #30 aka Arthur Ave. It consisted of chicken cutlets, topped with hot soppressata, fresh mozzarella and house made pesto on a crusty seeded Italian hero loaf.

I’m all too familiar with having gotten many a sandwich that sounded fantastic on paper but was disappointed in the end result due to either poor execution or just ingredients that didn’t pass muster. That was not the case with this sandwich. You could tell every component was high quality from the amazing chicken cutlets (which on their own are delicious), fresh house made mutz, house made pesto, high quality Soppressata to the locally sourced fresh baked bread. These combined to make an amazing sandwich and I enjoyed every bite.

Seeing the size of the sandwich, I fully expected to save half for later…yeah no chance of that happening as I killed the whole thing in one sitting. The cherry(s) on top (as seems to be the rule, not the exception at establishments of this ilk) were the awesome people/family that runs the place. Absolutely wonderful people and service with a genuine smile that reveals how much they truly enjoy what they do.

The entire staff was exceptional, managing the schedule perfectly and working seamlessly with our external vendors to create a magical experience. Initial communication with management was a bit stressful, but a walkthrough the week before eased our concerns, and they executed flawlessly. Our guests loved the venue and the food, and we were even sent home with a sample of everything from our cocktail hour and dinner. “My husband and I had breakfast here today and had a wonderful experience. The place was full of locals and the employees knew people by name and even joked with them. When we walked in there was only a big table in the back so we just sat at the counter. My husband and I both ordered the 2 eggs with potatoes, toast and sausage. He ordered the sausage patty while I got the links. Everything was tasty. The iced tea seemed very popular as it's homemade. I never ran out of coffee. The service was great and the food was delicious and inexpensive. I would definitely come back again.“

“Walked by this place a couple times and finally decided to stop in for a slice of pizza. So glad I did! NYC pizza with a thin crust and nice char, good cheese and pepperoni. The food was superb! I highly recommend the lamb chops and beet salad - oh but the branzino too and apple crumble for dessert! Oh my! “Most of the servers are young hipsters, so the service isn't extremely friendly, but there seems to be a unique atmosphere here. I wasn't expecting much from the food, especially since the initial impressions of the servers weren't great. However, the burger, with a texture reminiscent of mushrooms, was quite soft and tasty. The dessert cake was also very good, and the date shake might just be the best shake in New York. Make sure to try the shake.“

From rich and satisfying enchiladas mole to perfectly-cooked cod, all seven of us were happy with our food. The pineapple upside-down cake is dreamy, so save room for it! “This was an unreal dinner. A whim recommendation from a waitress at the bar lead us here. Luigi took great care of us! Fettuccini bolognese with mushroom cream (one of the best pastas I have ever had, I will spend years trying to recreate it), the softest gnocchi in the world, lamb chops, burrata... All washed down with limoncello spritzs. Bubbly rose and canoli for dessert. A walk down the park back to the hotel as a digestif. One for the books.“

“Andiamo Pizza is a good spot if you're out late with friends and need a quick bite to end a long evening, as they are open decently late. No frills, nothing too special, but they have multiple different pies, fast service, and the price is fine. One minor and weirdly negative thing I'll mention are the crazy bright LED lights over the pizzas...that are for some reason pointed at the customer. I felt like it was me on display, not the pizzas.“

“I first discovered Angry Archies at a local food truck festival. I finally got to order a take out from the Jersey City location. My group tried two of their mac and cheeses, one with lobster and the plain, both were truly delicious and creamy, the classic crispy chicken sandwich and the potato salad (very unique potato salad, crispy potato straws are a nice touch, it is a little bit unexpectedly spicy but tolerable even for me who is very wimpy on that front). I enjoyed everything we ordered and the basil mint lemonade is a MUST!!! Every single time.

+ Shout out to Angel and Juan who threw in two mini strawberry cheesecakes for us since we were their last order before closing time and those were really yummy too. Craveable food, sweet staff and I found the prices totally reasonable for the portions. Excited to come back here and try more menu items for my next comfort food fix.“
