I would have to order 56 sandwiches with 3 to 4 different choices.
Our bus wouldn't arrive to our hotel until after 8:00 pm
(after your normal business hours)
Upon our arrival, someone would deliver our lunches that evening for the next day.
I have always appreciated the extra mile that they went for our bus group.
The sandwiches were always delicious.

I’m a huge fan of local mom & pop Italian deli’s…good thing there’s a plethora of these here in Bergen County.

I perused the menu before heading over as I recently took a job not far from here and saw the description of a sandwich on their website that really jumped out to me. It was their #30 aka Arthur Ave. It consisted of chicken cutlets, topped with hot soppressata, fresh mozzarella and house made pesto on a crusty seeded Italian hero loaf.

I’m all too familiar with having gotten many a sandwich that sounded fantastic on paper but was disappointed in the end result due to either poor execution or just ingredients that didn’t pass muster. That was not the case with this sandwich. You could tell every component was high quality from the amazing chicken cutlets (which on their own are delicious), fresh house made mutz, house made pesto, high quality Soppressata to the locally sourced fresh baked bread. These combined to make an amazing sandwich and I enjoyed every bite.

Seeing the size of the sandwich, I fully expected to save half for later…yeah no chance of that happening as I killed the whole thing in one sitting. The cherry(s) on top (as seems to be the rule, not the exception at establishments of this ilk) were the awesome people/family that runs the place. Absolutely wonderful people and service with a genuine smile that reveals how much they truly enjoy what they do.

“My husband and I had breakfast here today and had a wonderful experience. The place was full of locals and the employees knew people by name and even joked with them. When we walked in there was only a big table in the back so we just sat at the counter. My husband and I both ordered the 2 eggs with potatoes, toast and sausage. He ordered the sausage patty while I got the links. Everything was tasty. The iced tea seemed very popular as it's homemade. I never ran out of coffee. He is so easy to collaborate with, worked within my budget, and came up with such fun and innovative ideas. Ex: doing cool drink pairings to accompany each of the passed hors d'oeuvres. So we had Shrimp ceviche with fresh mango and avocado paired with a white sangria shot, Black bean and roasted corn empanada's with a chipotle creme paired with a margarita shot, lobster rolls paired with a shot of sam adams beer, Hoison pork belly Boa Buns paired with a shot of Japanese beer, and so much more, including grill stations and beautifully displayed grazing tables. “Ordered via TooGood2Go for a mystery bag for a 1 PM pickup. I got there a little early but they were nice enough to give me my bag. For $5.99, I ended up with a dozen assorted bagels. They gave me a good mix in there too, and the bagels were fresh from that morning. I could tell because I ripped into a piece in the car and it was still soft. There was everything, salt, plain, whole wheat, sesame, cinnamon raisin, and blueberry. This actually put me on to blueberry bagels because that's not something I would have ordered before. I froze most of them and a pop in the toaster oven makes it almost as good as new.
