“i've been going here a lot for lunch this year and i've always had a great experience.
however, last week i ordered a poke bowl and noticed that they changed their containers from paper to plastic. its not that huge of a deal, but the plastic containers are smaller than the paper but the price is the same. additonally, the vegetables in my poke bowl were not that fresh which was unusual.
it's not too huge of a deal and i'll continue to support this place, but i'll always advocate for more eco friendly choices. if possible, please return to the paper bowls!“

“Avocado Eatery, Sushi And Gyro House (HALAL) is amazing! The food is fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. They have a great variety of options, from sushi to gyros, and everything I’ve tried has been really good. I also love that the food is Halal. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the overall experience is excellent. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat. Highly recommended!“

“Raku Sushi in Ringwood is easily one of the hidden gems of North Jersey. I have been to a lot of sushi restaurants over the years, and this place consistently delivers some of the freshest, most delicious food and friendliest service around. Every time I walk through the door, I feel welcomed and appreciated, and that kind of experience is hard to find these days.
The quality of the sushi is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into every roll and every dish that comes out of the kitchen. The specialty rolls are creative, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. No matter what I order, I am always impressed. The fish is fresh, the rice is perfectly prepared, and the portions are generous.
What really makes Raku stand out is the consistency. Whether you’re dining in, picking up takeout, or ordering for a family dinner, the food is always excellent. There are very few places where you know exactly what you’re getting every single time, and Raku has maintained that high standard year after year.
The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and relaxing, making it a perfect spot for a casual lunch, a dinner with family, or even a date night. The staff is always polite, attentive, and genuinely kind. They go out of their way to make sure customers are happy, and you can tell they truly care about the people who come through their doors.
As someone from the area, I can honestly say that Ringwood is lucky to have a restaurant like this. Raku has become a staple in the community, and it is one of those places that keeps people coming back again and again. If you’re a sushi lover, or even if you’re trying sushi for the first time, this is the place to go.
Five stars simply aren’t enough. Raku Sushi has earned its reputation through incredible food, outstanding service, and years of consistency. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, fresh, and delicious Japanese cuisine. “Nagoya Sushi is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a beautiful atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting. The restaurant is also BYOB, which makes for an even more enjoyable and affordable dining experience.
The service is outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure every guest has a great experience. And the food? Absolutely incredible. Every sushi roll is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients really shines through in every bite.
What makes Nagoya even better is that the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the excellent food, exceptional service, and lovely ambiance. If you’re looking for a fantastic sushi restaurant, Nagoya is a must-visit. I go every Friday and I can’t wait to go back!“

“The food is top notch. From the soup to the sushi. Even the ice cream is delicious. What really bothers me though is the service. There is a 90 minute time limit which I get but when you are rushed to get out by an hour that’s not right. Also when you’re hounding tables waiting to literally take a plate because you have nothing else to do that’s a problem. Finally when you’re coming up to tables and asking them for platters back because you don’t have enough supposedly that’s not good either. Last night I was hounded constantly. Twice I had people tell me to move my sushi to my paper plate because they needed the platter. May I suggest buying more platters. Love the food and yes I know I’ll be back but the service was ridiculous in your face. Don’t come here for date night because they don’t leave you alone“

“Stopped in for lunch with my wife the other day, our first time here and I'm so happy we came. The food food delicious, top notch sushi, fresh and delicious. The Goyza dumplings probably the best I've ever had, and that Toro just melted in your mouth. We found our sushi spot in the area! Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.“

“Nigiri is the best Franklin Lakes has to offer for sushi. incredible quality and a friendly atmosphere from all the staff. Julie is wonderful and clearly takes pride in how clean the restaurant is.

“We love Tempura Place! We go probably weekly and often order platters for parties. They know us by name and are very friendly with us. We have friends of friends who rave about the party platters we bring. The food is fresh & delicious!“

“Look at this other review down here lol It's sushi from a grocery store, that's made and packed. What do you expect? A master sushi chef straight from Tokyo, or Fukuoka, or Hokaido, sitting in Shoprite taking orders?They make good sushi when it's just made. You eat sushi that's been sitting in your fridge for even an hour, it's not as good as fresh, but still good.“
“If you get an urge for some sushi and want to go, pick it up and head home, this is the place for you. The sushi is pretty much restaurant quality and nothing like the sushi you get from any of the supermarkets. The place is shinny and new and the staff are all great. Good local spot for lunch.“

“Recently We had dinner here .it was our first time .as soon as I walked in I was attracted by the unique decorations here .it was well themed atmosphere, I felt calming and welcoming and my kids love the fish decorations.
The food here is great . They have creative sushi menu.there is so many exotic rolls you can choose and they offer kids menu .
We ordered the sushi pizza, sushi love boat ,sweet heart roll gyoza and Thai calamari. Everything tested fresh.all very delicious. The service was attentive and friendly.By the way it’s BYOB.

“Arigato is a hidden gem for sushi. I've usually ordered their 2 roll special for takeout but it's at a bit of a discount if you dine in. If you have the time to sit down, it's even more worth it. Their special rolls are amazing, hearty, and tasty! Plus, all of the people there are super nice“

“I went with my daughter on Sept. 9th to celebrate my birthday and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was awesome, the food was great, the staff was friendly and the guests that sat with us were so sweet and friendly. We had lots of laughs during dinner. “I dined between 4pm and 5pm and there was no crowd; it was excellent! The pineapple and chicken Thai fried rice was delicious. I highly recommend everyone should try their Autumn of NJ sushi roll. It was fantastic. I definitely recommend this eatery spot. I will be back very soon.“

“Everything was SO good! I got the fried beef gyoza, 4 spring rolls, and the Family Roll, and honestly every bite was a hit. 🤤 They were out of the drink I wanted, but they recommended the strawberry bubble tea instead, and I’m glad they did! It was definitely on the sweeter side, but sooo good. 😋 Great food, great service, and I’ll 100% be coming back!“
