The sandwich was perfectly balanced: crispy hash browns, flavorful Taylor ham, and gooey melted cheese all stacked between a fresh, toasted everything bagel. “I appreciate talent and I believe you can find talent in anything. The art of "bread-tending" is observed to the highest level here. It may just be a piece of toast you use to dip in your egg yolk or eat with a little dollop of the best jam east of the Hudson river. BUT, that toast is more than that. There is a set of well trained hands that prepare that toast for you. Someone that has prepared toast thousands of times and everything from the sound of her slicing the toast is perfect. “There is nothing about this place that is inviting from the outside. The tinted front windows are more at place in a bordello than a cafe. The tables outside are a mess. And once you get inside it’s not much better.

That said, the young woman working the counter on the Saturday I went there with my family was beyond delightful, patient and professional. Not only did she welcome each customer, not only did she graciously take orders, she actually would bring said orders to the customers at their tables. Really, she could have just called out names, but she went the extra mile. The food was great and quite affordable too. The combination of the two brings in loyal locals, one after another, all waiting patiently in line.

One major downer: There is only one (short order) cook and there really needs to be at least two. The wait is way too long. The owner needs to step up and find another cook. It’s not fair to customers nor to staff.

All in all, however, a great experience.“

The guy who takes phone orders affectionately refers to us as “The Donut Family” because we usually order the last donuts of the day. What’s pictured here is seasoned waffle fries and a special made burger (bacon cheddar cheeseburger on a glazed donut w/lettuce & tomato). They are open very early. They take cards and cash. The staff is super friendly. Great for delivery but not so great as a dine in spot (they do have a couple of chairs inside but it’s really too small to sit and enjoy a meal without having to move for the incoming foot traffic).“
