It seems that nearly everything is prepared to order, and as a result if coming here you should be prepared to possibly wait longer than most restaurants for your food to be ready.
I do wish there was a way for the restaurant to communicate this to avoid problems with new customers who may be expecting quicker service.“

“MAHFY was fantastic for our ~100 person wedding, we had a cocktail hour style reception which provided an array of heavy hors d'oeuvres, along with a grazing station and fruits! The team was very professional and ensured that every guest was fed including my husband and I. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for catering services within the Tri-state area!“
“We got married at the Green Building last weekend and Dish is one of their preferred vendors, so when we chose them as our caterer, we knew we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing! In addition to their catering services, we used Dish’s day-of coordinating services. The food was phenomenal and people still keep raving about the chicken and waffle cones from our cocktail hour! Every single bite I had throughout the day left me satisfied with a happy belly! The entire day went as smooth as butter and everyone really enjoyed themselves! “I’m not really into burgers , so this place was not really on my radar until a friend recommended it to me. My partner and I came for an early lunch on a weekend and got the burnt broccoli salad, yuba verde sandwich and crispy yuba breakfast sandwich. The burnt broccoli salad was served cold, which was a little unexpected. We would have preferred it warm. The sandwiches were both absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying a dish with yuba. “We used Certé last minute to cater a professional luncheon for a group of about 25, and the compliments from our guests were nonstop. We ordered a sandwich luncheon with vegetarian options and an assortment of drinks. It could not have been more lovely.
From the seamless coordination with Shanttel to the timely and friendly delivery by Timo, the entire experience was five-star from start to finish.

The restaurant blends Buddhist philosophy with royal vegetarian cuisine inspired by the Qing Palace. It was my first time trying a full vegetarian tasting menu, and I was impressed by how flavorful and creative every dish was. The mushroom dishes stood out the most, especially the Stichotas japonicus with cucumber sauce, the pan-seared boletus with green millet, and the Nepal mushroom quinoa with pepper sauce. Each course felt balanced and intentional—low oil, low sugar, and focused on natural taste. Even traditional dishes like Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and zhajiang noodles were reimagined beautifully. The dessert, called “Nectar of the Core,” was light and refreshing. Dining at Bodai feels like a calm, thoughtful journey through color, texture, and flavor. If you’re looking for an elevated vegetarian meal in NYC, this is worth a visit.“

He's easily the single most professional, efficient and all around best caterer/chef I've ever com across. From planning an intimate 20 person get together to a 4 hour, 150 person rooftop carnival, Chris can take a 30 second conversation and turn it into something beyond your wildest dreams. The man is an absolute legend and the only caterer in NYC you need to consider using. He's sharp as a tack and has a staff unlike any other ready and will to help in any and every way necessary.“

It is chock full of yummy surprises, all arranged beautifully, in perfect condition. There was such a generous amount of food, they could make a meal and still graze after. The meat, cheese, fruit, nuts & dried fruit were premium quality & we’re told, very delicious. It arrived in a cute huge box, with flowers & a honey dipper tied into the colorful wrapping twine. “I have been getting my pierogi here for years. Hands down, THE BEST PIEROGI. Being of Polish descent, I have tried many and none compare. All of the baked goods are so fresh. The kruscicki, babka (the cheese babka is amazing), and the poppyseed bread are delicious. The potato pancakes are huge and delicious as well. My favorite place to stop when visiting Bayonne.“

“This review is long overdue. However, we are glad we waited because seven (7) months later, we are STILL getting rave reviews from our friends and families about the food at our wedding! We had a VERY difficult venue that required all of our vendors to submit referrals and agree to a multitude of specific rules. Our original caterer cancelled two (2) months out from our wedding date (after a year of planning). We did not know what to do! They had already been approved and accepted by our venue. We were devastated! KRISP quickly reviewed the menu / pricing we had negotiated and budgeted with that caterer. They were SO reassuring, and offered us MORE options for a lower cost. We could not believe it! After experiencing an incredible tasting at their gorgeous venue, we were SOLD! THE FOOD IS UNREAL, seriously! When we were low on alcohol, they ran to the store to ensure that our guests would not notice any lapse! They even secured and stored our cake topper for months after our wedding! Despite coming on board with less than 2 months to prepare, KRISP navigated a VERY difficult venue, provided incredible service and kept all the stress out of our site! If you don't scoop them up while you can, your event will not be as good as it could have been.“

“I use San Carlo for our company holiday party for the past 6 years. We keep coming back because the service is that good. Food , venue, parking, and especially the friendly and attentive staff. I get so many great reviews on the food from my employees. Why would I go any where else. The staff change in the past few years but service is still great. I refer alot of my family and friends to this gem.“
“Ive had 2/3 of the breakfast burritos, very filling, and they are great on the go. The coffee was ok, willing to try again but the main event is most definitely the food. I’m quickly finding it to be my weekly go to. Hopefully with a little more notability, maybe so community engagement, and increased foot traffic in the warmer months, they will be able to hold down the lot. It’s a perfect location, glad to have this place in the neighborhood.“
