I have been living in the United States for a while and it is the first Colombian restaurant that has good tartar and good pineapple. But lemme tell you—the Gyro was superb (like, didn’t think I needed a gyro at 10 AM, but here we are). And the coffee? Next-level. “We were in the area and wanted some Chinese food, so we looked around the area and saw that this was one of the higher-rated places. I also noticed that they only take cash and do phone orders. We called on the phone, placed our order, then made our way over. We paid in cash and got the food. I ordered the boneless spare ribs combination platter, which comes with a roast pork egg roll and roast pork fried rice. We also got a small wonton soup. The boneless spare ribs were really good, striking a good balance between the sweet and savory that boneless spare ribs typically have. The roast pork egg roll was delicious and savory. Everything else, though, was not as good. The roast pork fried rice was pretty bland, as were the wontons and the broth that the wontons came with. For the price, though, it was reasonable, so I am not too upset.“

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, taking the time to explain the menu and answer all of our questions. The food was outstanding—every dish was cooked to perfection. “This is a no frills, no smiles, no music situation but the food is amazing. The lady at the counter could look a little less upset, maybe they should play some music for atmosphere, because it’s like eating in a closet with windows. That said, the food is all that really matters. The rice is fluffy, the beans are perfect, and the stewed beef was the perfect addition. The lemonade is delicious and I’m pretty sure they make their own tres leches cake, it’s good but a tad on the sweet side. All in all, definitely worth a 2nd trip.“

“This place is one of the best places to have a healthy lunch in West New York. I am amazed that it doesn't have any review yet. I tried fish and also lunch specials twice out three times being there, I recommend fish and cow tail. A nice girl works there having very helpful attitude toward customers (unfortunately I don't remember her name but you will find her at lunch). You might have a little bit of problem communicating in english, but all of the times that I had lunch there, they prepared exactly what I meant. A meal size was more than enough for me and I am not skinny, unhealthy or anything. Did I mention the price? it is worth every penny.“

“Parking is horrible in this area so be prepared to spend some time looking for parking. It took us 30-45 mins to get parking.
Even the parking lot across the street was full.
Parking enforcement is constantly patrolling the area and in the parking lot.
Although the music was very loud, I loved the music they were playing. Old school salsa, cumbia and merengue.
There was a live DJ playing in the back.
In the front by the entrance where we were was the bar.
We were on a hightop table which personally, I do not like since I’m short.
The waitress did not stop to check on us and had to flag her so we could pay the bill and leave.“

“I've walked past this restaurant many times, didn't even think to try it. My wife brought me in, I'm so glad that we went. Inside is a cute quaint restaurant with about 7 to 8 tables. We ordered the birria tacos, gorditas and the soupa de res. It was all absolutely delicious. The flavors to the ingredients, everything is of good quality. The staff is friendly, service is good. We'll be back very soon“

“I ordered from here because my regular Chinese restaurant was closed. I ordered the crab Rangoon, egg drop soup and young chow fried rice. Everything was so delicious ?. The crab Rangoon was crispy but not overcooked, the soup had a light flavor and the rice was perfect. The only disappointment was that they did not provide crispy noodles for the soup. There was lots of sauce and fortune cookies but I really would have preferred to have the noodles instead. I will order from here again but next time I guess that I’ll have to ask for noodles.“

“This is a family favorite! Since the food is fresh and very cheap compare to today’s prices within other restaurants around the same area. It could be better flavored, but they have their own seasoning. My favorite dish would have to be the Mangu with eggs, cheese and salami for breakfast. Cannot for get their oatmeal drink& hot chocolate.

Kid-friendliness: You can bring your kids and eat with family if that’s your preference. They do have kids seats.“

Ordered it with a request to substitute Pork fried rice with Veggie one & they happily accommodated it.Great portions & tasty chunks of sweet chicken with just a hint of red chili spice. “I'm from Los Angeles, and I miss Mexican food a lot. The only decent Mexican food I've had in the New Jersey/NY area was in Sunset Park Brooklyn. Until now. At Xochitl Tortilleria I had a pork torta that was yummy. My wife liked her bisteca taco (she also likes the carne asada tacos at Los Tacos No. 1 in NY). We agreed that both the refritos and the rice were excellent (the refritos were very smooth but tasted just right). The red salsa is very smokey and hot; we liked the green better, but it's still not like the salsa you'd get in L.A. The women at the counter were nice, though they don't seem used to speaking English. It took a while for our order to be ready, but they made it just as I asked (no cilantro on the torta but cilantro on the tacos). I look forward to trying the barbacoa. The tortillas are very good (that's how I found this place--a Mexican neighbor recommended the tortillas). They also have chips/dorados/ tostaditos. They had several good ripe avocados which is handy if you want more avocado or if you're making guacamole. I ordered to go (carry out) but next time will eat there so the food is fresher--there are several formica tables with benches.“

“My husband raved about this restaurant. He hadn't been in 15 years, so when we came back to visit family in New Jersey, we had to stop. We live in Ohio and rarely get to eat authentic El Salvadoran cuisine. This was my first time having it and it was by far the very BEST meal I've ever had. We ordered the churrassco steak, plantains, maduros (sweet plaintains), rice & beans, guacamole, yuca and the famous pupusas. The service was Impeccable and the food was delicious!!
