“Dottie’s Donuts are the best donuts in Philadelphia. I’ll take the Pepsi Challenge to the crap they sell at Dunkin and I’d pick Dottie’s every single time. They’re quite possibly the greatest donuts in the state of Pennsylvania, which would immediately place them in the state national treasure donut contest. “I eat here a lot and love it! The food is delicious, all organic, wholegrain and 95% vegan. And…it’s super cheap. And their containers and plastic wear are all compostable. If you are lucky you might be in time to get an excellent $.99 muffin. They make juices, always have 1 or 2 soups, a daily special as well as a veggie burger, tacos, and totally customizable bowls and salads. They sell kombucha by the ounce-bring in your growler. The service is usually very fast and the upstairs dining area gives a great view of shoppers. Plus there is free wifi and outlets to charge up. My favorite is the jammed yam.“

“While visiting the city that I grew up in there has always been an abundance of restaurants to eat, look no further than Mabu Kitchen. The atmosphere of this cozy cornerstone in washing square will have you taste buds going wild. The burgers are a cooked exceptionally well with a fluffy pillow of a seeded bun…..it’s mouth watering. Then on the side, of course they have fries but the salads they provided were also a timeless palate refresher between burger bites. Highly recommend, the staff are very attentive, kind, and welcoming. It all ties in with the atmosphere of the place. They take attention to detail seriously and it shows in the way their food is cooked, plated, and served. Well done Mabu Kitchen, I’ll be seeing you for brunch as well.“
