“I won’t lie, I took my partner here as a surprise after he got into the car and I had the very Kitchen Nightmare episode this restaurant was featured in. You know, the episode with Bobby the gangsta executive chef who was making $100,000?

It was a great episode, but the owners looked like very good people. Even though it’s been a couple years, I discovered Bask46 was not only still open, but thriving.

We didn’t get to set at Gordon’s booth, but we were right next to it. The service and food were fantastic!

My partner got the tacos, which he loved (the portions look bigger than what Gordon has suggested). I had the 46 burger. The first half tasted bland, but it seems because all the flavor was just on the other side — and when I hit that, I loved it.

The potato skins appetizer was OK, but still we had a great experience.

It was a Sunday night so we didn’t expect to see the owners, but we still had a great time, and it looked like things were running smoothly.

Fun experience, and who knows, maybe we’ll trek back again. Bask46 is one of the rare Ramsay success stories, and it truly is a success.“

“Omg this place is AMAZING! Definitely a new North Arlington favorite! The gentleman that makes everything are so friendly. They also accommodate you if you want to switch something for your dish. This is the second time I've been here and had the linguine garlic pasta ( they make it homemade too). The first time I only had it with shrimp. The second time I added grilled chicken and shrimp. I am obsessed!

Great atmosphere, owners, and service. Every time I come back I want to try something different but I stick with the pasta. It's my favorite!

I had the gluten free calamari and that was fantastic as well. The breading was seasoned well and it wasn't rubbery. That a must to try as well!.

My boyfriend had the grilled chicken, rice, and broccoli and everything was seasoned wonderful.

“Food was fantastic! We went for lunch and had the fried calamari, shrimp scampi and penne alfredo. Staff was attentive and friendly and brought us fresh bread with dipping oil and fritters after we were seated. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend!“

“Well I just order theses French fries last night and they were burn and hard as a rock we need better older workers for this restaurant and we need better older waitress that could take the customers order and sever the customers the right order and for this restaurant we need a host for the front of the front entrance of the restaurant and we need a cashier for the front of the restaurant and we need a older dish washer worker that could handle the plates and we need older waitress that could pay attention to there job not giggly with there friends that's not working we need better workers for this nice restaurant and better older managers one in the morning and one at night to see how clean the restaurants tables are and also the restrooms and they should close the other side and keep that side only for special events. The prices seem a little high but when you can't even finish your food - that's a good deal. The menu is phenomenal. If you can't find something to eat here then you are insane.“

“This place is so clean. You wouldn't expect it when you first walk in, but there's no dust balls or cobwebs or anything on the antiques on the walls. So impressive. The staff and owners are so polite and professional, I feel like I could do a full page review on them alone. Our waitress Lisa was a pure delight. A breath of fresh air. If you enter through the bar you get to have a "Goodfellas" moment as you pass through the kitchen to the dining room and get to greet the chef. Finally, the food. It was awesome. “Went for a school trip for the seniors. Was also my first time going to this place. I heard so many things about the experience so I was ready to see how it was. Was pouring rain outside. Building looked nice and the staff were mostly friendly. Manager I spoke to regarding a seat was awesome and patient. Atmosphere was comforting and fun. The show was much quicker than we all expected. Only real gripe I had was the food offering. Not sure if it had changed over the years from what others told me, but for the price of tickets, I would think a bit more should be offered.

I noticed the restaurant itself is very clean which I truly appreciate. They were also decorated for the holidays which was nice to see!“

“Very small and cozy place. I am new to Lynhurst. I order from there when we first moved. Very delicious and packed with flavor. I have tried other diners and this one is the best so far. “A big, delicious mess. That is what I expect when I order BBQ style items off a menu and that's what I received! I stopped by for lunch and ordered the BBQ Beef Brisket sandwich. It was much larger than I expected and I did my best to finish it but did not fully succeed. The meat was overflowing and the sauce got everywhere.

The sides were decent. I loved the slaw but the fries could have used a little salt.

I am in town for a few more days and will definitely be back to try the ribs and some happy hour specials.“

The drinks are still a bit “weak” but they were good tasting. The service was good too considering that our waiter had a whole section to work by himself.

“You going to get a consistent meal at the Lantern. I usually will order ahead and pick up through the drive through. Today, we ate in, and can I just say the staff was amazing. Queen DD was so sweet and the gentleman whose name I forgot to ask, but assume is management of some sort, was SO KIND. Absolutely fantastic experience with them today. I order fried green tomatoes. They tasted okay but they needed some kind of garnish. It comes with a lot of tomatoes. I also order a shrimp pasta and a side of catfish. Shrimp pasta was good. I didn't eat the catfish because of the way he looked. I’ve had catfish plenty of times, but that did not look like catfish to me. The waitress asked the manager if he would take it off. “Our dinner for four was wonderful! Food was delicious. Some had the tasting menu and others had a la carte. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and the skin was so crispy, a first for me as I've never had fish skin before. Others had the filet mignon which was also cooked to perfection. Servers were always available and very professional. We've been here several times and will continue to patronize this neighborhood gem!“

“So after being in New Jersey and going to about 8 bagel shops, I guess this is the one. So... I pull up and the first thing you will notice, parking is an issue. Luckily, people are coming and going so it took around 5 minutes to attain a parking spot. From the look of things, there may have been a parking lot in front of thee establishment before but it would seem that they decided to fill the parking lot with outdoor seating. From speaking to a patron, I understand because he told me that he always walks to the place. So on a nice day, I suppose the outdoor seating is great. You go inside and it's a small space and they have a few tables and chairs inside as well.

Inside and I'm in a line. Probably about 8 people ahead of me. I'm already thinking that these bagels must be damn good. Took about 10 minutes until I put my order in. In total I spent about 25 minutes at this spot. As I'm leaving, there are more people in line than when I got there. Just from seeing the bagels, they look soft and fresh. Just happy to have found the place. I get home and the bagels are just as good as they look. This clean bagel shop comes highly recommended and will be back! Great job guys!“

The staff were so welcoming and child-friendly. I have never been anywhere as child-friendly in Bergen County. Their outside seating area is perfect for families with young children in tow.
