“We’ve been coming to Maggies Town Tavern in Little Falls for about five years now. I have to say that every time we come the food is absolutely delicious! The staff are friendly and attentive. This has become one of our favorite places to eat. I highly recommend Maggies to anyone looking for a great food experience!“

“Close to where I was. I liked the menu posted on line, so I decided to try them. Not disappointed at all. Clean place with several tables in use by customers including outside. There were about 10 people working. The stream of customers coming in for orders and making orders was constant. That told me something about their food as I waited for my lamb gyro. All employees who took orders were professional and neither friendly or unfriendly; business like. That's okay, since they were all busy. The menu doesn't mention the croissants, and scones along with other things they offer so a trip here is worth the drive if you're nearby. My freshly made gyro was nice and warm and placed in a compostable container. There was plenty of lamb along with everything else. It was a very nicely flavored. The meat was tender and the pita was soft. Although I've had better, this was still good and the price was fair. I would purchase from Jackie's grill again, and recommend this place.“

Stopped in for happy hour last Friday and she set the whole tone — knew exactly what to recommend, kept the drinks coming, and made it one of those nights where you end up staying way longer than you planned. No rushing you out, just solid service and good energy. Sear's already a great spot but she's the reason I'm already thinking about going back.“

Especially Brooks, who went above & beyond helping us try decide what to order. I'm not kidding when I say everything looked so good. He kindly gave different suggestions. “Jeff made us feel at home! I originally came in from Brooklyn, NY to come visit a friend out in Jersey! My first time here felt like I’ve been here before. Jeff recommended some special sauces to us for the wings and it stands out compared to other places. We allowed us to taste test a hot sauce, which wasn’t just hot, but flavorful as well! He held wonderful conversations with us and was able to relate to us in a lot of ways. His engagement made us want to come back! I’ll be here once again if I find myself around town again. “My first visit to Charlie Blood's definitely won’t be my last.
We started with the baked clams, which were fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. The bar pie was exactly what you want from a classic Jersey tavern pie—thin, crispy, and packed with flavor.
For mains, the steak with shrimp scampi was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly and the shrimp scampi added that rich, buttery garlic flavor that made the whole dish stand out. The Drunken Onion Burger was another highlight—juicy, loaded with caramelized onions, and just downright satisfying. The owner even came out with some of their dessert options to try which ended the night perfectly.
The food, atmosphere, and overall experience made for a great first visit. Safe to say I’ll 100% be back to try even more on the menu. If you’re in the area and looking for great food in a classic local spot, Charlie Blood’s is absolutely worth the stop.“

“Today my dad and I had Easter Brunch at the Glen Rock Inn. It was amazing! There was a great selection of food. It was fresh, delicious and being replenished often. I have been to many buffets that sort of seem picked over as the day goes on. Not here! We had the last seating and everything was plentiful and fresh. The dining rooms were festive with pastel napkins and flowers. It was also not noisy at all even though every table was full. The staff was very attentive and we were not rushed at all. This experience really made our holiday. We will definitely be back.“

HOWEVER… D&J Country Cooking is absolutely AMAZING. 💯 I was a little disappointed that they don’t offer dine-in, because I would’ve loved to enjoy my food hot at a table. Instead, I ended up eating it in my car. But let me tell you — it was still worth it. I ordered the fish, yams, and mac & cheese… and it was incredible. Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted like real home cooking. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a very kind elderly woman who greeted me with eye contact, a warm attitude, and great recommendations. She was sweet, helpful, and really made me feel comfortable about trying the food. It was a true example of Southern hospitality. I’m giving this spot 9 stars. It would’ve been a full 10 if they had dine-in seating, because the food is so good it deserves to be enjoyed fresh at a table. Hopefully they consider adding a sit-down option in the future because it would really take the experience to another level. I’ll definitely be back. With an assorted buffet menu and a live band, our members had a memorable evening in the private room of Tavern 73. The cash bar was very busy, and people raved about the food as they left this 4-hour event. Special thanks to Kaya and Gail for the excellent job they did to help to organize and execute this event. The bartender Dre was very attentive to our needs and the manager Chad came around to make sure everything was going well. The food was good but the drinks were even better and the late night happy prices were even better. I met the manager Ora on Wine Wednesdays, where certain bottles of wine are half price and she promised to carry more bottles of Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc.
