“Went today after site seeing and hiking around Flatrock and came across this truck selling fish and chips (along with a few other meals).
Definitely worth the stop!
Crispy well-seasoned battered cod (skin still on so you know it isn't just frozen Costco cod!) The French fries/chips you can tell are local grown potatoes. You can taste the hardy minerals in the potatoe itself. (Would recommend they did a double fry on the potatoes next time cause they didn't seem to be crispy fries) But; the fish, by far was the catch of the meal for sure ?
Friendly customer service. They bring it right to your car after you order, or you can sit down to one of their picnic tables and enjoy hot and fresh.

Parking: It's more like a driveway than a parking lot. Have to be weary of parking when they get busy cause there isn't really "parking lots" so you could get stuck with someone parking behind.”

“A restaurant operated by an older couple. Extremely good service but very limited seating inside. Takeout is a good option. The hours are not exactly those written on happy cow (opens at 12:30 today for example). The food is really great and full of veggies for a reasonable price. Soup and sauces are offered on the house. The host also offers a clementine ( or a tangerine, not sure) for dessert. Great place to visit if in Newfoundland.”

“We stayed for 3 nights for our daughter's wedding. Our room was first class with w.c., large bath and large walk-in shower. It was quiet, facing the rear of the building. The front pedestrian way can be a bit noisy with revellers. Spotlessly clean, with aircon and fridge. The restaurant offered a varied evening menu, and the cuisine was superb. Likewise, a good choice for breakfast, and large portions. I had the 2 egg breakfast, and the eggs were cooked precisely to my instructions. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This was my second visit, and I look forward to my third.”

“Myself and hubby went for a drive and ended up here for early supper yesterday… I had the best seafood chowder ever!!!! And I order chowder everywhere lol… and 1/2 Greek salad was delicious! Husband had chicken clubhouse and fries and was completely satisfied!! (His a big eater.. lol) We both had Quidi Vidi beers and the choice was amazing, servers and service was wonderful! We will be back and would recommend to others!!”

“My sister and I were there for the first time last Friday and for sure can’t wait to go back again. What a wonderful place for everyone but especially for the sixty’s people. I have so much to say… and all good. We were blown away! St. John’s certainly needed you. We had the fish and chips and we rolled out of there. The portion size was like no other and so fresh and flaky. Like it was just caught from the ocean. The place was so clean and nicely decorated. Our server Mike was a pro. He knew his job and made you feel as though you mattered. Even the owner Terry- Lynn came over to greet us. They are doing well there and I can see why. Everything was great…not a single thing to complain about. Oh and the music…yes…turn it up…it certainly brought us back in time. Thank-you for everything!!!”

“The pizza was wonderful. Sat at the bar and watched them come out of the wood fired oven. The process of converting the dough to pizza was amazing. None of the pizzas came out of the wood oven blackened which has been our typical experience with wood fired pizzas. We also had the meatballs in marinara sauce which were very flavourful. Definitely worth checking out when in St. John's. Closest pizza to ones we had in Italy.”
