“Place is awesome. Outstanding music. Great Green chile cheeseburger (smashburger) and barrio tacos (similar to birria tacos). Our server Alivia was awesome. Rest of the staff was were also very friendly. Definitely coming back to this place again.“

“I love the margaritas here. It's a great atmosphere overall. I hate the vegetarian burrito bowl with a passion. There are always random vegetables in it that don't make sense. The rice is watery and it is obnoxiously hot for no reason. Beans, rice, and cilantro would be fine. Will definitely be back but will not order than ever again.“

“I've now been coming for over 2 years in the mornings. It's nearby and the staff are great. It's become my CHEERS bar. I'm here 3 or 4 times a week. I'm retired and single. Always greeted with such warmth and genuineness. Great draft beer selection (yes they have GUINNESS)). Food is also great. I don't cook much so this place hits the spot BEST bloody Marys (Brianna on Friday/Saturday's are the BEST). Would really like them to have Soup of the Day. The chef's are great and believe a little personal flair (as in a soup) would be a great addition. You won't be disappointed with a visit.“

“We like neighborhood bar and grills that make us feel comfortable. Plus, the food needs to be good. We live close to Effingbar and enjoy going here for a casual meal and beer. The service has always been quick and friendly no matter how crowded it is. A lot of local regulars go here but it's not a "rough crowd" not at all. We go in the afternoon; I can't vouch for the evening clientele. Prices are reasonable. Our favorite meal is the red chile enchiladas. So good. Sometimes we play trivia. Overall, I'd rather eat here than Sobremesa, the expensive brewpub that is nearby. Effingbar seems to have gotten the formula right: good food, good service, friendly/casual atmosphere, reasonable prices.“

“Bourbon House and it’s employees has been a great experience everytime I go in. The kitchen/ bar staff & the food they produce in my experience has always been great.They are quick to correct an order if a mistake happens but rarely happens. I have many food allergies so it’s nice to go somewhere where they care how the food/drinks are prepared & their customers are taken care of.The Bourbon House bar tenders are very attentive, respectful & create a great atmosphere especially on game days. “Great place for good food and great kerioke. Our server "angel" was amazing. She was very knowledgeable when it came to the menu and drinks and she was very professional. I will also say that it is very clean and spaced out. I will definitely go back and request angel as our server.“

Went at a later hour so things were lively, more people drinking than eating but that’s what you want at a nice bar with food right? Anyways it didn't put off my wife and I at all. I could see older folks or those wanting a more romantic setting finding this lacking, but my advice to them is book an early dinner. Otherwise the cocktails and wine list were top notch as well.“
