“In light of Mesa Provisions being recognized as a finalist for the James Beard Award, I thought that I would make a reservation for dinner while I was in Albuquerque. The hostess was professional and soft-spoken. My server was an engaging 50something lady. She helped me select a glass of white wine. I knew that I wanted to try the lamb shank. Unfortunately, none of the ingredients indicated that the carrot mole would be a five out of ten in terms of heat. I found the heat to be overpowering and, after a couple of bites, I asked to order something else. Despite offering to pay for the lamb shank, the restaurant graciously took it off of my bill. The staff member stated that all of their entrees are spicy. I probably wouldn't have dined at Mesa Provisions had I known this. I ordered the hamburger sans green chile. It was a serviceable hamburger, but nothing extraordinary or unusual. The chocolate surprise dessert, with meringue and hazelnuts, was delicious. The food at Mesa Provisions is prepared and presented well. They are worthy of Beard recognition. If I were to return, I'd enjoy a glass of bubbles and dessert at the bar. I added the $38 cost of the lamb shank as my tip.“

“I love going to this place in the afternoon and having appetizers, tasting wine, and talking with friends. They have a lovely selection of wine flights. Almost all the wines bearing the Lescombes name--their reserve wines--are wonderful but pricey. The 921 line is middle priced and good. I especially like the rose. The food is uniformly tasty. I especially like the shrimp jalapeño bacon appetizer and the charcuterie. The winery in Deming is also worth a visit. I believe the Lescombes family makes the best wine in New Mexico.“

The non spicy sweet red chili is a flavor to try and be ready for a healthy serving. The place is chill and offers in windows seating, which is a plus.“

“I was told long ago that I had to go get something to eat from this place and holy moly were they right! This place is a gem! The people here were so nice I didn't think I was in Albuquerque anymore lol. I ordered an alb stacker for me and my kid but one with a bun and the other on a sopapilla. They were large 1/2lb burgers with bacon, guacamole, green chile and cheese. The burgers are hand pressed and the chile is made fresh daily. It is incredibly good! I had some red chile cheese fries and red chile can be hit or miss in some places but here it was old fashioned goodness! We were given free natillas for it being our first time here and my little mini foodie partner will agree that this place is in the top 5 burger places I've been to in Albuquerque. They even have a rewards program here where you can earn free food just by eating here. I love this place and wished it was a little closer to home. Definitely two thumbs up from me and my mini me!!! Can't wait to come back.“

“I've now been coming for over 2 years in the mornings. It's nearby and the staff are great. It's become my CHEERS bar. I'm here 3 or 4 times a week. I'm retired and single. Always greeted with such warmth and genuineness. Great draft beer selection (yes they have GUINNESS)). Food is also great. I don't cook much so this place hits the spot BEST bloody Marys (Brianna on Friday/Saturday's are the BEST). Would really like them to have Soup of the Day. The chef's are great and believe a little personal flair (as in a soup) would be a great addition. You won't be disappointed with a visit.“

“This is located inside the green jeans food hall. This was our first time here and I would say the atmosphere felt more outdoor bar like than family friendly restaurant. You order your food and are given a buzzer and seating is on your own. We found a table upstairs and pulled a chair from inside so we could accommodate the three of us. I did not find any diaper changing area but the bathroom upstairs was private and clean. My husband had a cheeseburger with green chili, I had one with blue cheese and balsamic. I got it on lettuce as they didn't have a gluten free bread. They were out of a few items on the menu but service was friendly. They seemed very busy. Water was available serve-yourself style. Their fries were good. Our 2 year old had a cheeseburger and loved it... you clean your own trays when done. Overall good experience.“

“This was my favorite bar and place to see shows even compared to small venues in San Francisco and Oakland. They get some great bands, good drinks and good prices. One could go to a $15 show, hang out at the bar and watch or wander onto the dance floor, out front ,or out back and play pinball. They also had art work by Mike Giant on the walls. However, they recently installed a wall cutting off the stage from the rest of the bar. Giant's art is gone. Granted, now you don't have to pay for a show to go to the bar but you can't watch the show anymore from the bar. I fear it ruined the venue. What about dance nights? You have to walk through a small door and can't watch your friends while you get them drinks. The whole feel of the venue has changed“

“I love this venue. Impeccable design and attention to detail. You really get the sensation of the South Pacific. I ordered the Kung Paso chicken (it's made with cashews here). A prickly pear mojito and my husband and I shared the appetizer tempura. I should have stuck with a regular mojito, not that this prickly pear was not tasty, I just prefer the original flavor. It was pretty , too! See the pic. Tempura was done well, although the sweet potato was a little too raw and hard. Onions, broccoli, red and green peppers were super. The shrimp was meh. Kung pao was tasty but a little heavy on the fish sauce. At least that what it tasted like to me. If you don't lie that flavor, you may want to ask that it not be used. They suggested on the menu that you can ask, if I remember correctly. My husband had the teriyaki chicken. He ate it all. So must have been good. Service was efficient, friendly and calm. I'll be back!“

“I live close by and was deterred by some of the negative reviews. I gave in tonight after a long day of holiday shopping. I entered and the place was hopping. Very busy. I seen a self-serve order kiosk so I placed my order. Pretty simple. I stood and waited not sure of how their system worked. I had 2 workers check on me and my order during the short wait. They followed through and got me my order fast. The wings were amazing! Better than the chains in town. Fries were ok. Wish they were better honestly. But, did I mention the wings? Lol! I will be back for those. I got the buffalo and as born n raised chile eating New Mexican, they had a good heat to them, with excellent flavor and crispiness. On a side note, the jerky is really good too.“

“Food got no stars only cus we didn't eat and I didn't see anyone else eat?? I really don't know if they serve food? But I do know good service for how packed it got. Also I have to say that the acoustics was awesome ? I could feel the bass in my stomach and the guitar and the lead singer gave me chills there was no annoying feed back or distortion at all. Now what you hear the video is from my Samsung mind you but over all fun. There is live music some days and karaoke on others there is four pool tables and the only thing I'm gonna complain about is the bathroom situation only one boy and one girl and some times there was a line so me and my boyfriend were like screw this we are going together in which ever one opens up first. ? lol. Smoking area outside you can vape inside. Over all I would say this is a small big crowd?? well it's not huge and a lot of people know each other there. But it's a good crowd and it's the kinda place where you wanna have some fun but not a crazy night like still be in bed by 10pm type of thing. Oh and as you can tell by my outfit it's chill there is no need to dress up it's not that type of crowd ??“
