“I don't usually give 5 stars to casual eateries... But the Chavez family provides such a welcoming environment and a down-home authentic new mexico vibe! Just like going to my grandma's for tasty traditional breakfast! Love this place!! Oh and by the way... They are also a "Better Caul Saul" film shoot location!“
“I've eaten at this lovely place many many times and I bring everybody I know to this place. It's Amazing! I've tried almost everything and it's all so good!! And staff are always fntas! It's my favorite local recommendation?“
“A classic for a reason! You don't stick around this long if you aren't doing something right. And they do everything right, the food and staff are always excellent. Me and my family have been coming here longer than I can remember and I have never had a bad experience. Everything is good so pick something and enjoy, I personally enjoy there stuffed sopaipilla with extra cheese, the steak fingers and enchiladas.“
“The Range has been a New Mexican favorite of mine since 2007. The flavors and quality of the food can not miss. Of that I can guarantee. This time around, we ate at the downtown location. It has the same funky vibe in the atmosphere that all The Range's restaurants have. Like a warehouse of random knickknacks that also has some of the best food that New Mexico has to offer. The authentic southwestern style plates screams flavor, style, and panache. Try the chilaquiles, the burritos, the papas con carne, or whatever your heart desires. You absolutely must try their desserts! Not only are they to die for, but they'll bring you back to life at the same time. They're that good. The death by lemon cake is phenomenal. Chocolate roadhouse cake is a must. Oh, and the Mexican latte cake is a thing of beauty. Go to the Range and dive into a world of fantastic flavors.“
“I've been eating at padillas for decades and we'll have to say that the food has been very consistent over that time and it's always delicious. If you're not a fan of onions then my suggestion is your tell your waiter or waitress to hold the onions because they're very liberal and the amount of onion they put on your food, I don't like onion. The tamales are very good probably the best in Albuquerque and the blue corn chicken enchiladas are also just very delicious.“
“Frontier is beloved by locals and frequented by tourists as well as college students. Great location right across the street from UNM. The vibes and eclectic decor are top notch. There isn’t any shortage of seating or space inside. However, if you know good New Mexican food the fare might leave you feeling unsatisfied. A bit bland and the chile isn’t very spicy. The food is decent but certainly nothing special. I’ve had many breakfast burritos, lunch burritos, huevos rancheros and the like from here. On my most recent visit I decided to try something of a different sort. The grilled cheese sounded interesting plus I ordered a side of fries. The fries were nice and crispy, very good flavor. The grilled cheese was again just OK. It got soggy on one side from the tomatoes I believe. Definitely nothing that I couldn’t just make at home. I’m a student, and I live one block from frontier. I’ll continue to walk over from time to time to enjoy a decent bite and the vibes at this local representation of our city. Don’t be discouraged from visiting here just keep your expectations realistic“
“Stopped in today with one of my suppliers. He frequents the restaurant though it was my first time. Menu had a lot of gems on it but when I saw the Monte Cristo I was done debating on what to eat. Food came out pretty quickly, and the service was fair. It was after the rush so I expected a bit better service since it wasn't busy. The food was pretty good. 3/5 on Monte Cristos I have eaten before. I think the big thing it lacked was the powdered sugar on the toast and real jam. It hand some weird fruit flavored syrup. Certainly worth the try but short from a traditional. With try something different next time I am in.“
“We were staying at The Clyde for a conference and some of our people found this little place, and boy we were thankful they did! The word spread fast through quite a few groups from our conference because they did not disappoint! For lunch yesterday, our group had Zak's Famous Club, Monte Cristo, Tosatadas Compuestas, and Pasolé which were all amazing. This morning we had Carne Adovada and Eggs, Good Morning Relleno, and another round of Pasolé for one because she loved it that much! They also have a $5 handheld breakfast burrito that you can grab on the go! The chips and salsa were also yummy! And to top it off, the staff were very nice! I can honestly say, we as a group, highly recommend stopping in. Thank you Baca Boys Cafe staff!“
“This has the best breakfast burritos in town! Their chile is flavorful and hot! I love the bacon burrito where the bacon stays crispy and doesn't get soggy in the burrito and it is fabulous bacon. The donuts and pastries are also made in house and are so good too! The apple fritter are person favorites there. The staff is always nice and friendly no matter how busy they are! There is limited seating but even taking it to go the food stays perfect and hot.“
“Great, fresh, super-tasty food! we had chicken tamales and indian tacos with birria, both delicious!! large portions, and we still cleaned the plate...what a better review?! definetively a favorite spot...+++Kid-friendliness: nice open space with room for kids“
“Set in Old Town plaza, you’ll find a rustic and intimate restaurant with incredible flavors and southwestern decor. The service was incredible, the food was delicious. Prices typical of the area but still reasonable. Would go back for the tenderloin alone. Pics include the tequila flight picked by bartender, tenderloin, and ribeye.“
“Having lived in the SW for a spell many years ago, I have been wanting authentic Mexican for a long time. So, traveling through Albuquerque we stumbled on this place. Absolutely loved it! The chili rellano with brisket was soooo good. Our server was attentive, polite, and professional. And to top it off, the sopapilla was divine!“
“We're in town to visit family, and read about Camila's. We tried it for lunch, and enjoyed a chicken burrito, carne bogado burrito. They were so good we came back this morning for breakfast. We had a green and a red breakfast burrito, and they were also terrific. Along with other nice staff, the owner, Victor, took care of us both times. They are all so kind and welcoming. I'd highly recommend this place. We can't wait to come back to Albuquerque so we can come back here for more delicious food.“
“Love it!! Great service, amazing food, super fast, good & fair prices. My friend and I went to eat lunch there while on a trip because our Uber driver suggested it and man! was that a good suggestion. I had the lunch deal enchilada and my friend the chile relleno and both were a 10. The drinks were great and fairly priced. The salsas are BOMB!! so good that I had to buy some to go ? the chips are clearly freshly made so they're super light and crunchy..Would definitely eat here again!“
“Great place for classic New Mexican food. We can't get enough smothered burritos, enchiladas, and red and green chili. All really well done by fast and friendly family. We also had a really good green chili cheeseburger, and the chili cheese hash browns are outstanding.Vegetarian options: Bean burritos, potato burritos, hash browns.“
“This place is the best Mexican Food I've been to in a long time. The employees family owned are very nice, knowledgeable ,helpful, respectful and very busy at that.. you can call ahead order and pickup when you arrive the place is so busy all time and very prompt every time someone needs assistance. My Favorite is Chile relleno burrito they make it the way you order it. On point no complaints If I could give them 10 stars ⭐I would . You won't have any regrets eating from there so give it a try and get you some yummyMexican food.“
“Growing up in Albuquerque developed in me a true love for "Red or Green" culture. Living out of state now makes me crazy living without it, so, when I visit I want the real deal food of the "Burque!" Tia Betty Blues is my new favorite. My Navajo sculptor friend, Natiya, introduced me and now I'm hooked. You can see in the pictures the food, and they don't skimp. Look at the size of that Carne Adovada burrito compared to his hands. It's massive! I got a 4-egg omelette smothered in green chile with calabacitas (zucchini and corn), and my other friend had blue corn waffles with strawberries.Next time I'm in Albuquerque this will be the first place I go, and probably more than once. I highly recommend it, especially in warm weather, when you can sit outside. I think the owner also has the Waffleria (?).Parking: Parking lot is somewhat small so go at times of least business.“
“They were really good. A little pricey, but the staff was really nice and kept our drinks filled. I had the sweet potato fries. I wasn't that hungry. The fries were delicious tooKid-friendliness: Kids were there and they were well behavedWheelchair accessibility: There's ramps there“
“The quality of authentic New Mexican food is excellent as usual. The service was fast even the chips and salsa were freshly made along with the piping hot sopapillas. My daughter had a cheeseburger my wife had a combination platter and I had the carne adovada plate. I knew I wanted carne adovada and selected the plate over the combo, because the menu said it was a generous portion. But I was disappointed in this small portion size of the carne adovada serving. I would say about a half a cup. (See photo).“
“You MUST visit Ben Michaels Restaurant near Old Town in Albuquerque!!! I cannot tell you how wonderful and authentic this place is. It is an experience, not just a meal! Ben Michael is truly a Renaissance Man and it shows in all that he does!We first went in December of 2023 and were completely WOWED by the ambience, aura and food! He is a master in the kitchen, garden, at the piano and in the realm of storytelling! He made us feel like we were the only people in the world and we had known each other for decades! I am not a foodie in any way, but this chef and his art of cooking made me truly appreciate the world of flavors and phenomenal food! The art and photos on the wall tell the story of a wonderful life and strong connection to family. We then had a private party there for my sister's 60th birthday and once again, Ben Michael made sure we had a wonderful time. He was so personable and attentive all evening while mingling with us and getting to know us better. He is an exceptional listener. Towards the end of the evening he sat down at his beautiful piano and sang a PERSONALIZED Birthday song for my sister!!! He took in all the great details and made her a song!!!! It was amazing!!!!As you can see by now, I cannot say enough great things about Ben Michael's!!! I would be typing for days. Please treat yourself to an evening there and you too will fall in love with this exceptional restaurant.“
“This is the 2nd time we have been there. The husband had the Mexican turnover with carne adovada basically a stuffed sopailla. I had the Chicharrione & bean burrito with green chili. The service is great and the food is amazing. I did not know they had won a James Beard Award. Basically the Oscars of food for American Classic.“
“To start, this is by far the cleanest food establishment I have ever seen. Impressive. I ordered online and my food was ready when I got there. It wasobviously freshly made. Fantastic eatery! If you work in this area make this place a staple. You will not regret it!“
“The food was absolutely amazing, huge plates, deliciously cooked, pretty sure it’s a family owned business and the family is super friendly to the customers!! First time eating there and will be definitely be back! My new favorite spot! I got the red chili beef enchiladas with an egg and my boyfriend got a Xmas carne asada sopapilla and they were both delicious! One plates enough for 2!!“
“The food was goodish but it was missing something. Can't quite put my finger on it. The service was great. We were taken to a table as we entered. Drinks and salsa were quick. I had a chimi and my wife had an omelet. It was restaurant was nice but as the crowd came the louder it got and I'm not one for a lot of noise.“
“I came to the one off Central with my dad today for St. Pattys. It was very tasty I had the torpedo.I was so happy they have the cute chocolates at the register. I got me cashew turtles and he got pecan turtles I will be back they were so good!! ☺️“
“First take-out lunch here, finally !Closed on the weekends so makes it tough for us to get here.Well worth a stop for the Frito Pie! Delicious Will recommend adding a protein since it's meat free normally Authentic Bernalillo cuisine for sure....“
“This place is simply the best. The takeout always has something wrong, but when you eat in, that's where they really shine. Got the food really fast but superb fresh and really good. The prices are good too. Stuffed sopopillia is my recommendation.“
“This place was recommended to me by a local. It a small seemingly family run restaurant. The staff very friendly. It seems like a local hang out.The food is different but not bad. I think I was not use to the local flavors. I’d like to go back and try it again. The people there are really wonderful.“
“Place is awesome. Outstanding music. Great Green chile cheeseburger (smashburger) and barrio tacos (similar to birria tacos). Our server Alivia was awesome. Rest of the staff was were also very friendly. Definitely coming back to this place again.“
“Food is always good at the cotton wood restaurant service was spot on I would recommend that they add a little bit more Chile to the plates would have been a 5 for me if there was. These guys do make a good homestyle green Chile almost as good as grandma would make.“
“This new Stripes location is really well put together. The staff are all very friendly and my food has come out very fast both times I have been. I don’t think that Stripes has a great burrito compared to other choices in the city but it’s good and fairly priced. The eggs they use remind me of the ones in Taco Bell breakfast and the green chile is so-so. Overall, would recommend.“
“This place is a wonderful place and I heard they're closing but I hope they don't because if you want original New Mexico food and some red chili, that's wonderful please come to this place. Please stop by here get some food.“
“Hubby, his uncle, and I came here for lunch. We were seated right away and attended too. I ordered the carne adovada and replaced beans with rice, and sopapilla, and hubby ordered 2 eggs, bacon, and sausage place which comes with papitas (potatoes) and smothered with both red and green chile (they call Christmas because of the colors). They also serve chips on the house as you are waiting for your food to be served.Food: Full of flavor, cooked right, and served hot (not dangerously hot). Even the chips were warm and tasted like it’s just made. The sopapilla is so light and yummy.Ambiance: The restaurant has outdoor dining but with the cold weather, better sit inside as it is clean and cozy. Just the perfect warm comfortable temperature.Service: Our server was attentive and friendly and warm. The entire experience was pleasant and I definitely recommend this place 100%.Parking: Ample parking infront of the restaurant’s entrance.Kid-friendliness: The place is family friendly and kids can easily sit comfortably with parents.“
“I got a cheeseburger and curly fries! It was good and it’s local, I’m always happy to find a local spot nearby that’s tasty. If you don’t like special sauce make sure and mention it. I got mustard and my cheeseburger was very good. I’ll go back for sure.☺️Parking: You can order at the little be bop car hop drive up intercoms. I didn’t know they worked but they do. That’s so cute!“
“Tried this place for the first time. From the time we walked in to the time we left, everything was great. The service of the waitress was spot on. The food was delicious and tasty. They serve Fideo, which I like better than rice. The Chile was very good. Price was very decent. Definitely will go back.“
“Staying at the double tree, I ate here instead of going out, and it was pretty sweet. It was a top notch old fashioned, and the breaking bad salad. My server handled business, taking care of me and other people really well. I’m happy I stayed to eat and saved the time.“
“Bomb-diggity, the food is good here. El Patio has become one of my favorite go-tos in the 505. We had excellent service, mouth-watering good food (the Carne Adovada is absolutely the best and the chile? Fuhgeddaboudit--so hot and so, so good). Prices are what you'd expect to pay and it'z cozy inside--but very, very much worth the trip. We'll be back very soon.“
“Haven’t been here in a long time and what a treasure we have here ABQ! Had a great stop for lunch! Love the indoor atrium that creates patio ambiance in the cold weather and actually spicy green chile! (Rare now due to tourist’s taste buds) Great service as well. Will be back when the patio is open for sure!“
“I just Love their Green Chile!!! ?? I had a chicharrone so papilla with beans, smothered with Green Chile, So Delicious!!! My nephew had the ground beef Christmas so papilla. I wouldn't recommend the red Chile though, unless you like sweet. He also had a Chile relleno, looked very good!!! Service was Great!!! ?? The young gentleman was very attentive!! Would highly recommend this place!!“
“I've stayed in the Uptown Sheraton for work every other month or so for the past ten years. Always good service and good food at the ABQ Grill. Great staff. friendly and cordial. Even though there are a lot of other good food options near by ... the ABQ Grill is always a good choice. Consistently good.“
“Loved this place!!!! I'm not from Albuquerque but grew up in Las Cruces. I was looking for NM style Mexican food made with Hatch chilies. SCORE!!!Sorry, all i photographed were the chips because I was too excited about the entre. They were not stingy with the chips.Get the choose 2, 3 or 4 combo plate and mix it up. It's all good!“
