It can get noisy, due to the folks who flock there for Sunday brunch, so a little extra sound-proofing might be nice, but it's great to see this a gem of a restaurant receive such a vibrant clientele!“

The coffee was excellent, and the brownie was very tasty—slightly firm on the outside but soft and rich on the inside. “Saturday evening (Feb 18) we randomly decided to stop by Jinloong for supper. We don't eat out much these days, but we were feeling like a treat. :) My husband had a combo Special A. It was a huge portion and delicious. I want to mention that my husband always finishes his plate. However, this meal was not only delicious but filling too. He had enough for in dining and leftovers for a take away lunch on Monday ! I ordered the Singapore Noodles, with no meat or shrimp. Our waiter was so helpful to make a lovely fresh enormous bowl of noodles with extra veggies for me. It was wonderful and I went home with 3 days of leftovers!! YAY!! This was such a great meal for "penny pinches" like us haha I'd like to say our experience at Jinloong was 5 stars, but I wish I could give an extra 5 stars for the lovely, helpful service we received from our waiter. He was a delight!! So kind, helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant don't look any further than Jinloong. The homemade sauces are absolutely worth every penny. The portions are fantastic, and the service is GREAT! We'll be back soon. I've included a photo of all our leftovers. It was even better than I remembered! Lots of chicken, the yummy housemaid citrusy mayo and the bun which is absolutely amazing. The res chillies for me is what makes this so darn tasty - so thanks for that kind associate behind the counter who acccommodated my request!“

From food that you'll savor every bite, some of it not the best service I've received in Halifax to the wonderful views this isn't a restaurant I would skip. Our favorite is probably the braised beef, and it's wonderful to know they have such a focus on sustainability and locally sourced ingredients.“

Your booking includes set-up and tear down by the staff, HUGE win. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. And obviously the space is GORGEOUS; very little decorations are even needed in the romantic moody room. We did our ceremony on the roof and it was SO special. Food incredible. “I've been coming to the Italian Market for over 10 years. It's my favourite lunch spot in Halifax. Really reasonable prices, especially considering the quality you're getting. Brought a friend for lunch and he was blown away at the good portion sizes for the price, and the service is always friendly. Lots of niche imported Italian goods on the grocery spot as well.“

The burgers were awesome and the fries were fresh cut and equally tasty with just the right amount of salt mixed in! The staff were wonderful and even recommended an alternate meal for us, which actually turned out to save us a little money. The person at the drive-through was courteous, smiled and was just lovely. She clearly enjoys her work and it shows. I know it’s just a burger and fries, but it was served with a friendly smile great service and we just loved it. Their burgers are amazing. “Finally tried here on an overcast Saturday in January 2026 (had been to the Quinpool location a few times years ago, never the Hydrostone location, and kept forgetting about their latest move to the old enVie location on Agricola). Arrived maybe about 11:30 and was the only customer at that point. Greeted immediately by staff and told I could sit wherever, so took a table in the small lower section when you first walk in. Cute, little casual spot. Seating total capacity I would guess could be for 25-30, including other dining section, up a few steps, lots of natural light coming in. I had looked at the online menu and seen a few great-looking brunch options. When I got there, there were no brunch items on the hard copy menu, but the staff said he could custom make anything I wanted, so suggested the Bean Burrito with a scrambled egg added. That sounded good to me, and it was! The plate arrived with a side salad, serving of Sriracha, corn chips, scoop of flavored rice with salsa on top, with a hot grilled delicious burrito that had lots of visible spinach. I was very full at the end. Got to chatting with the staff over the course of the meal, when two other customers arrived. Very friendly owner, it turns out. I definitely will be back to try a lot more of their menu! (FYI vegetarian restaurant with vegan options).“
