“I don’t do reviews much but Sushi101 was incredibly delicious with an artistic flair that just added to the experience! We actually had to admire the artistry before diving into the various sushi roll plates. I am not one to take pictures of my food but the presentation of the various plates made me give-in and I did take my phone out for a few candid shots. I know it’s rude on date night to have a phone out but it really was that incredible!! Service was wonderful and a little wait is necessary when the food is coming out that fresh and beautiful. They were busy with eat in and take out; word must be getting out!! Well done chef and team at Sushi101!!“

“We had a good lunch today at Sushi Nami In Dartmouth. Our server was very sweet, service was prompt and my sashimi, nigiri, maki platter was very good! My man’s beef udon noodle soup was also good!

My problem, and I know it sounds trivial, is with the washroom. It’s just not befitting a Japanese restaurant. I’ve been in much better gas station bathrooms…this one had a cracked sink with rust stains, the metal wall-unit for garbage looked filthy, chipped paint all over. Normally, Japanese restaurant bathrooms are elegant and clean. It’s jarring to walk from a nicely decorated restaurant into such a crappy bathroom.

The uni was silky and clearly fresh, not a hint of that ammonia taste you sometimes get elsewhere. The place has a nice low key vibe with dim lighting that made it perfect for catching up over a long dinner.“

The staff walked us through each piece and explained the fish origins, which made the whole meal feel way more personal than your typical dinner out.
