“We had the pleasure of eating at Bird’s Nest today, Chicken Club Sandwiches (and we have our usual cup of coffee everyday there too) The food is outstanding, based on fresh seasonal ingredients clearly put together by a chef that has a true passion for food! The service was fantastic as always, and their staff is so friendly, and they know our usual orders by now. “We walked over to this place as a soccer team while in town for university games and I was thrilled to see such a beautiful spot close by. From the moment we entered, the staff were incredibly friendly, flexible, and knowledgeable. They took time explaining about some of their drinks, and the drinks we all ordered were absolutely delicious. Not to mention the desserts - WOW! I purchased a bag of their beans and it is seriously one of the best bags of beans I've ever had to brew from home (and I buy a lot of beans from various roasters across the Maritimes). Can't wait to get back down to Halifax to visit here again!“

“A lovely place!! Very cozy— like having a coffee in someone’s beloved living room. I am a cane user, and the owner made a little two-cup carrier out of an empty milk container. It was actually easier to carry than most to-go containers!! The extra effort and care is so appreciated. Would highly recommend for a coffee and snack.“

“Nour's Cafe and grill was recommended to me as i was in the area. And i was not disappointed. Friendly service. They have a speaker set up to hear each other properly. I got Nour's bagel (jalapeño and cheese) with egg, lettuce tomato. It was cut in half (didn't even ask for it ) tasty, grilled, and still warm. And bc i was still hungry, i got a small portion of their fries. MIAM! The spice they put on the fries are amazing. It adds more flavor. I would just decrease the amount of salt. The spices are enough, in my opinion. The portion was quite generous for small size.The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is the salt, and limited payment options: debit or cash.It was a positive experience overall. Thank you!“

“I recently moved back into the area and was hoping to have brunch here every weekend. I had the Madurito breakfast which was a wonderful treat. The flavours were exotic and well balanced and I left quite satisfied. The breakfast came to $30.00 including tip. After searching online, I found this was almost double the price of any breakfast in Halifax. Wonderful food, but keep in mind you are paying for inflated food costs and for specialty ingredients. Not affordable on my budget, unfortunately.“

“We had the pleasure to discover Lara Cafe during our vacation in Halifax with our 3 children. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the creamy oat milk lattes and colourful lemonades and we found ourselves retuning to the Cafe every day of our vacation. We had the opportunity to meet Lara, the owner, and it was immediately clear why this Cafe is so tastefully decorated, why the atmosphere is so enjoyable and the menu so very delectable. “My friend's and I recently had lunch at La Piazza. The food was absolutely delicious, the service exemplary and the atmosphere is very cozy. The cheesecake is delicious but a tad over priced, as were all the deserts, in my opinion. All in all, a very nice experience and we will definitely be going back for our monthly Ladies Lunch.“

“Their Chicken Tettrazzini is out of this world!!!! It is so good. I love getting their pasta and salad combos, always great on Fridays with their curry chicken pasta. A must try!!!!!!“

“Had a craving for sweetness, asked representative for surprise me with something, She was friendly and great, came up with better version of timbits, warm cinnamon sugar balls with more chewness and freshness! (It's extra sweet and chew though)And I had Feta and Cheese thingy, She warmed that up and it was best till I ever have. Tastes so fresh even in the evening, Cheese inside and crisp outside is just wow!I just wish they could have sitting table of two atleast.“
