Mediterranean food at it's finest, right here in Elko.”

Presentation, flavor, and service is worth every penny and then some. Truly a gem in Elko.”

“I want to hear I didn't dine in but the place seemed really busy it was a Wednesday in the evening maybe around 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. For how busy they were my coworkers and I were helped promptly. The staff answered all our questions. I ordered the Wednesday night dinner special it was a braised lamb, it came with a dinner salad, a dinner roll, I think it was polenta on the side, and then there's some sort of brown sauce kind of like gravy but not quite as thick very tasty. The meat was practically melting off the bone. It was $38 and some change, definitely one of the pricier options on the menu, there were more than a few entrees that were well under $20. I absolutely would recommend this place to anybody and I look forward to sitting down and getting to enjoy the atmosphere. I should have took pictures of the food it was presented pretty well even though it was in a takeout box”

“Went to Blue Moon tonight for my step son’s birthday. The plan was for a smallish group of about 6…. Turned into 13! Blue Moon not only fully accommodated us while they were busy, they took excellent care of us, even going as far as offering a blanket for a baby to lay on when he got fussy and tired! We had an absolutely excellent dinner, we weren’t rushed, and our night was not rushed at all and we were able to enjoy our family (we are very rarely all together). I will always highly recommend this place!!!”

“The Home Cooking Style Bean Curd and the Vegetable Egg Foo Young, easily some of the best food I’ve EVER had! Wonderful balance of flavors, the gravy for the Egg Foo Young is perfect, and the large portion of vegetables in the Home Cook Bean Curd along with just the right amount of savory spicy sauce makes for a delectable culinary experience. I really can’t recommend Great Wall Express enough, generous portions, excellent fare, and reasonably priced- Five ***** Stars!”

“These guys have some fantastic, made from scratch, ice cream. There are a variety of flavors to choose from, some are familiar classics and others are their own creations. They have ice cream machines churning different flavors that are contained under transparent domes so you can see the magic happen before your eyes. They offer several types of dipped waffle cones, plain cones and pints or quarts to go and the service was great! We tried both their cookies and cream, which was delicious and the banana caramel pecan, and it was outstanding! Seriously good Ice cream. The ice cream shop is in a bar and pizza place, so you can have pizza, beers, and dessert! The next time we're in Elko, this place will be on our list!”

“We had the tamales combination plate, beef and cheese quesadilla, chips and cheese plate, carne asada burrito and beef burrito and every dish was excellent!! The food had a ton of meat, which we loved as it was tender and juicy. This was our first time dining here, and we really enjoyed the food. The staff was having fun together which is always wonderful to see, and they engaged wonderfully with our children.”

“Just had one of the best steaks I have had in a long time. Ordered the Ribeye and the cut was tender and cooked perfect, with flavor. All too often, restaurants thaw and then cook when the cut is still cool from thawing and ends up dry. I always have at least one dinner at Cooks while in Elko and highly recommend. Lunch has been great also and tried the Bison Burger the previous day.”

“After meaning to try Blind Onion since moving to Elko, I finally made it—and I’m happy to say the food did not disappoint!

My husband ordered the Sicilian sandwich, while I opted for a cheese pizza with onion and black olives. Both were solid choices—my pizza had a unique dough with a hint of sweetness, while the sandwich hit the mark with hearty meat and generous cheese coverage. We also indulged in an order of fried pickles. While they had a nice crunch, they lacked the tangy bite I typically expect.

To finish off the meal, we grabbed gelato from their creamery to go—a delightful touch that added to the experience.

While the food and flavors held up, I did have one concern—there was a gentleman in a green shirt with long hair walking around the food prep area with an open beer in hand and vaping near the kitchen. It was unexpected to see this in the restaurant setting, especially in a food preparation space. Not sure about the regulations on indoor vaping in Elko, but it seemed like something management should address to maintain a professional and food-safe environment.

Overall, Blind Onion delivered good food, and I’d return, but I hope they ensure their food prep area remains focused on cleanliness and professionalism to keep the experience top-notch.”

“Shout-out to my people of DQ. I did a mobile order for lunch and they got it done on time and they have great customer service too! I had a line of 20 kids randomly come to the ice cream line in front of me before I was able to pickup my ice cream part of the order. The kids in line were all kinds of chaotic and with my social anxiety I was in a panic. The DQ workers saw that and got my ice cream from the back. So thank you guys fr fr”
