“Tapas style restaurant, so we tried several items - Bacon Wrapped Medjool Dates (favorite at the table!); Arugula Salad (mint was a delicious touch!); Lobster Sliders (lots of lobster!); Grilled Wild Alaskan Halibut Tacos (just scrumptious!).

This was actually a referral restaurant for us, and we were so happy to enjoy dinner there! Great food and drinks (Old Fashion and the Chocolate Martini)!

“Had to drive from Truckee to Stateline and back today and I forgot my lunch. Ended up walking into this place needing some food and it was full of women and they have a veggie burger on the menu for under $10. LOVE. 🥰🥰🥰”

“I love pizza! Gathered here with a work group and had a very nice time. Atmosphere was relaxed. Staff was so friendly and helpful. FOOD - first the salad bar was delicious/fresh and so yummy! The pizza?! Amazing! I was really happy to bring some home to enjoy! Go and eat - you will not be disappointed!”

“La Bistro is our favorite restaurant in Tahoe. We have been going there for about 15 years or more and it has always been a 5 Star experience. The menu is fantastic and each item is presented in a culinary style that is formal but not pushy. Chef David has really made all items continue to be up to date and constantly improved. Bar and wine selections are top notch. The atmosphere is country cafe quiet where actual and meaningful conversations can be held. Outdoor seasonal seating is available which retains the ambience of the indoor seatings.”

“The staff here are super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit a pleasant one! Just a heads-up — it can get pretty busy, so be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak times.
As for the ice cream, it’s Thrifty brand — not handmade in-house. You can tell from the classic cardboard containers, and I confirmed with a staff member that it’s Thrifty. So if you're looking for artisanal this might not be the spot. That said, the scoops are generous.”

Get rid of him and sell coffee without his plots of putting his STDs in coffee creamer in April 2014... Amazing how AJ Dicken stalked and was tracked by abc7news in Georgia after nick Brunel sexually assaulted and harassed me with himself and multiple scots trying to falsify sanity and survalence for frauds and Tyler Harvell who was a violent scitztzophrenic and college flunk out making death threats after I had saved his life from one of the 3 violent episodes he had in 2009 to 2010.”

“We ordered two cauliflower crust pizzas and a salad for pick up. The cauliflower crust was not an option on the online menu so submitted the order verbally via phone. I figured the cauliflower crust would cost more but I almost fell over when picked up the pizza and told it was $71! Really not sure why I didn't just walk out and tell them to stick the pizza. At this crazy price, I expected an exceptional pizza however, it was anything but. First of all, it was NOT cauliflower pizza crust! Second, it was cold and the crust was hard, with very little sauce. Extremely disappointing.... pass on this overpriced garbage!”

The service by Billy was so professional and so friendly! We appreciated highly his recommendation.
Jana, the head sommelier, brought us some great wines and offered us to taste.
The wine list overall is superb and very specific from Italy.
The food was fresh and tasty.
We highly recommend for the appetizers the tomato burrata with the fresh pesto and for the main course the Ragu di Agnelllo and also the Pollo con Gnocchi were so delicious.
We spent an Amazing and intimiste time at this truly authentic Italian restaurant.
Do not miss this place .. far away the best in this area!

“Sombody described this as a “hidden gem.” Not our experience at all. We attempted having lunch here at around 13:30 on August 3, 2025 and the entire area was mobbed. In fact we couldn’t even get to the restaurant because the road that leads to it was barricaded with a sign reading something like, road access reservation required April-September. So just check with someone that you can actually get there before heading to out to Kokanee Bar.”

“Mozzarella sticks and barbecue/medium wings were perfect and cheap compared to most restaurants and the entrees were great too. We had the $14.49 gyros, $22.99 fish and chips, and the $13.99 wagyu sliders (which tasted a tiny bit overcooked) but besides that all tasted great! Nice empty dog friendly outside patio by the creek with many picnic tables and a big table for 12. Service was very fast.”
