“Absolutely love this place! The staff is fantastic and knowledgeable, there is a HUGE TEQUILA SELECTION that blows every other bar out of the water, and it is ALWAYS clean and lovely inside. You cannot go wrong here. Their food menu is impressive with creative bites and top quality ingredients. Take it from a bartender, this is THE PLACE to go if you’re in midtown.“

And honestly, unless the wife and I want to go to a steakhouse or something formal, we’d rather get something from Beline and eat at home than go anywhere else. I am consistently impressed at the freshness, quality, and value of the food and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. We’ve ordered from here 3 times and every time it’s an 11/10.

We’ve had tortas from other places and they’re like 70% bread with a hint of meat. Not here. Well-seasoned meat is the primary ingredient.

“We did some research to find a great taco truck while visiting in Reno and Tacos Pillulles absolutely was it. It’s in the parking lot of a Home Depot and during the day, surely gets a lot of business. (We went for dinner and were able to get seats at the tables they had set up.) We ordered a bunch of tacos al pastor (marinated pork), cabeza (beef head), carnitas (shredded pork), and carne asada. Each one was DELICIOUS and had distinct flavors from the others. The three salsas that came with the tacos were distinct and flavorful and mildly to moderately spicy (but nothing to set your tongue on fire). The carnitas tacos also came with a delicious consommé. Bonus points for having a wide variety of Jarritos and Mexican Coca Cola (i.e., in glass bottles). And the service was quick, incredibly friendly, and pleasant. I would 100% recommend Tacos Pillulles to anyone looking for good street tacos and will definitely be back the next time I’m in Reno.

(And for those who are curious, I asked about the meaning of Pillulles. The woman who was working didn’t know, but said it was the nickname of the owner. He’s been called Pillulles since he was a little kid.)“

“The food was flavorful and the service was great. They have a small dining room on one side and a bar on the other. I think they probably do a lot of takeout. We dined in and ordered Huevos Rancheros and the Chicken Enchilada plate. Many places use bland or unseasoned chicken with an enchilada sauce; here the chicken was slightly red/pink from all the seasoning, which tasted different from the sauce on top of the enchiladas. It was a delicious combination. They have several choices for sauce, I chose the red and it was again, delicious, and very slightly sweet from the tomatoes. I will definitely go here again, for dine in or for takeout. I highly recommend this place. This is a small restaurant in a strip mall, so this is not a fine dining experience, but it is exceptionally tasty food.“

“It’s rare to find great Mexican food when there are so many average places. This place was amazing! Great variety of options, breakfast all day which is what a few of us ordered. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated, to have chips and salsa brought out and to have dinner brought out. Highly recommended if you’re in Reno!“

“I love the tacos from here. Rice is good too. However, sometimes it's hard to order, especially in the drive thru. Also, in order to get the salsa I want, I have to go in and get it because it won't be the right one if you ask at the drive thru.“

“Here is a spot known to locals as having great food. It is a combination of restaurant and market. There is lots of parking, even for trailers, and RVs. You can get freshly seasoned meat to take home to cook, and even buy some homemade salsa. There are plenty of tables to sit at. Their breakfast burritos here are huge. I had a chorizo burrito, and couldn't eat it all. It was delicious. We returned a couple of weeks later for lunch. I had the Chicken Enchilada lunch special. It was so good. They served it with sour cream and guacamole. It came with a side of Salsa Verde that had just the right amount of medium pepper heat for me. My friend had the carnitas plate, and said it was very good, and we should come back next week for lunch again! This place can get busy during lunch, as the construction workers come here to feed the crews. But the wait is worth it. The food here is much better than some of the Mexican-style food that I have tried in the area. Stop in and give them a try.“
