“Wow! This place was incredible! Came on a Friday evening and was able to get a table for 3 people. We ordered a bunch of apps and entrees to share. The service was quick. The food was so flavorful. For apps, highly recommend the fried golbi, lamb chops maya, garlic prawns, and chicken kebab. For mains, we got the goat korma, saag paneer, and dal makhani. Honestly, everything was amazing. I think the apps really shined . . .can't wait to return!“

“We have a lot of fond memories on Glen Island so it only is appropriate to have a wedding there. Met with Rocco he was extremely helpful. Because of Covid restrictions and other family emergencies we had to put the planning of our wedding on hold. We recently looked at this venue and it is looking like this place will be the winner for having our winter wedding in 2022. Tasteful decor, classy, elegant but not ostentatious or over the top like some of the other venues, which is exactly my style.“

“THE Royalton Mansion-- If I could rate them 10 stars I would! The best kept secret on Long Island. The most beautiful venue with such a care for detail with the best bang for your buck with pricing. From the day we had our first meeting with the Royalton they have been fantastic and after my Husband and I walked in the first time we knew it was where we were supposed to be married. Mike T and his entire staff were perfect. Their attention to detail is unmatched. Mike T told me we didn’t need a wedding planner or coordinator with them and he was right. He took his role above and beyond! Every question and pre-wedding concern I had was answered quickly and ever worry I had they calmed my fear. The food was amazing and every aspect of the menu completely customizable. We had so many dietary restrictions and Mike was able to accommodate everyone without any issues. The grounds are beautiful both inside and outside. We planned for our ceremony to be in their beautiful garden but unfortunately mother nature had other plans and the move to inside was still as beautiful. Our family and friends are still raving about how beautiful it was, how amazing the food was and how the staff were phenomenal. Michelle, the bridal attendant was also phenomenal and helped the day run so smoothly! We had an unfortunate incident thar required a guest to be removed from the wedding. The professionalism and approach that Mike T took to handle the situation was perfect to the point that I had no idea of the circumstance and to those involved were blown away on how well it was handled by himself and staff and to ensure all our guests were safe as well. I can not recommend The Royalton enough.“

“Chef Jaime catered an outdoor party I hosted this week and she did a fabulous job. Everything from the presentation of the food to the food itself ( delectable) to the passing of wine and dessert to the clean up ( she left my kitchen spotless) was exceptional. My guests could not stop raving about the food for the entire afternoon (and for days afterwards!). She was also very intuitive about what was needed in the moment. And she and her assistant worked completely independently so I was able to enjoy my party. I recommend her most highly.“
“Food is delicious! Would recommend the sautéed chicken, sea scallop risotto, linguine bolognese, marinated skirt steak, homemade mac and cheese or the buttermilk chicken sandwich. Unique dessert option that the kids loved was campsite s'mores where they can roast marshmallows at the table with a personal little fire. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall atmosphere was nice with larger parties able to be accommodated in a larger, brighter room while main dining room was more cozy with smaller booths/tables and darker ambiance. Parking is tight, but there is a larger municipal lot across the street. Can't wait to go back!“

“WHAT A FIND & HIGHLY RECOMMEND Chef Abyssinia! I was in search of a great chef to come to our home and cook a surprise 60th birthday dinner for my husband and came across Chef Abyssinia with a Google search that turned up with many 5-star reviews. I called immediately and was fortunate she was available. It was a pleasurable experience from start to finish and if I could give more than a 5-star review I would. She is a warm, friendly, and incredibly talented chef who takes great pride in her work as was displayed by the preparation and deliciousness. I would go as far as saying it was one of our top 5 meals ever and we are big foodies. We went with the 4-course option that included Scallops Au Gratin, Winter Salad, Maple Glazed Salmon & Chocolate Mousse. We tasted the freshness and love with every bite. The guests raved about everything. My father said that it was the most tender filet mignon he ever had. And, my dad is the steak guy! From the moment I called them to ask them to curate an "Amalfi coast" menu for my daughter's bridal shower, to the moment they finished serving that day, they were amazing. The food was excellent, creative, fresh and beautifully presented. The staff was professional, friendly, dedicated to making the day successful, and just an all around pleasure. I had many many compliments from guests on the deliciousness of the food. Even when there was a snafu in the kitchen (having nothing to do with the staff), the chefs and other staff pivoted like pros and every single thing came off as it needed to. This is a high quality outfit, with extremely delicious food, and just a great group of professionals. Thank you!“

“Based on the reviews and comments in the Long Island restaurant group, I decided to use Carolynn to cater dishes for my Christmas dinner I hosted without first trying . Based on the food and service , I made an excellent decision. Carolynn was very pleasant and professional. She promptly returned calls and followed up on commitments including delivery of the food . The prices were very reasonable and the portions were generous . My guests raved over the quality and tastiness of the food . I ordered turkey wings , chicken wings, collard and string beans , cornbread and yam pudding which was the standout . Will definitely use her services again and recommend to anyone looking for good soul food .“

Everything was perfect — It was set up both indoors and outdoors, and as regulations changed, they were adaptive to our needs to be able to keep the wedding safe and per guidelines while also a true wedding party. “Sal at Basil and Prime isn’t just making sandwiches—he’s creating edible masterpieces. This man is the heartbeat of Mineola’s finest Italian deli, and let me tell you, his skills in the kitchen and at the counter are unmatched.
From the moment I walked in, Sal’s impeccable customer service made the experience unforgettable. (He’s pretty hot too) (i hope he’s single) He greeted me with the kind of warmth and enthusiasm that instantly made me feel like family. Somehow, he juggled a line of hungry customers, grilled paninis, wrapped sandwiches, and restocked the fresh mozzarella—all while cracking jokes and giving each person his undivided attention. It was like watching a maestro conduct an orchestra of meats, cheeses, and condiments.
Now let’s talk about his sandwiches. Sal doesn’t just layer cold cuts—he builds culinary symphonies. My turkey, provolone, and roasted red pepper wrap was so perfectly balanced, it brought tears to my eyes. The mayo and mustard ratio? Absolute perfection. And don’t even get me started on the crispy chicken cutlets. Every bite was like a love letter to Italian food.
