“Updating my review because I forgot to write in it . ? We are so happy to have Cullens in the village and we hope they do well. If you visit, please take the time to leave a review as well! We hope this small business is supported and stays with us for a long time, they deserve it. We popped in this morning for some bagels and coffee. As expected the bagels and fresh cream cheese were absolutely delicious and they had a great variety. One of my biggest flaws is how picky I am about coffee so typically I don’t even attempt to order it when we go out, but today I tried their banana nut latte. Seriously, it was the best coffee I’ve ever ordered! I can’t shut up about it and I can’t wait to to get another tomorrow morning. Definitely take the risk and order yourself a fancy coffee next time you are in the area. Wishing the Cullens crew nothing but the best- thank you!“

“This is my absolute favorite Cafe in Altamont now!! The food raises the bar, it was fantastic! We were very delighted with our meals! They must have a chef on board, cause the dishes were made with PERFECTION! The homemade corn beef hash was perfectly made! The eggs were made picture perfect, the chicken and waffle was not only culinary calendar picture but backed it up in taste and texture. The Chef and crew don't just do their best, they put their heart and soul into EVERY DISH THAT LEAVES THE KITCHEN! This place is a hidden gem ! I am so glad to have found this place! Can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Altamont or near by it's WORTH THE TRIP!“

“If I could have manifested a perfect bar/bookstore combo this would have been it. They have delicious food, friendly and attentive service, and a perfectly curated collection of books and gifts. Their cocktails are delicious. It’s a very fun place for a quick after work bite and drink. I’m so jealous it’s in Schenectady, if it was closed to my house I’d basically live there.“

“I have been going to J & T's Cafe for many years. The food and service is always consistently good. What really takes it over the top are the freshly homade soups, which there is 6 or more varieties. Everything is prepared fresh everyday, and the best home cooked food around. The clientele that frequent this establishment are also very pleasant, which also is an indication of their satisfaction with this establishment. For those few disgruntled customers, take your frustration out on your wives or significant other. John and the crew at J & T's are aces.“

“Yesterday was my first time here and WOW. I got the lemon pound cake and now...I WANT MORE! Cute little store where you can pick up to go meals, alcohol, basic groceries, and really cute little cook books and how to make recipes with all ingredients included! Will 1000 percent be back.“

“Such a great coffee shop! Got a double shot latte and a "jalapeno popper" bagel (Plain bagel with a jalapeno cream cheese spread).The coffee was amazing and so was the bagel! Highly recommended. Also, the aesthetic of that shop is very trendy and modern. When we went the place was hoppin'. Very friendly staff. They have a large variety of home made pastries and other snacks.Additional Tip: they have limited parking right next to the shop (3 parallel parking spot with a 15 minute line) but then tons of parking in the back! Enjoy!!!“

“Friday, Feb. 9 2024, we enjoyed a fish fry platter and a ranch, crispy chicken wrap platter. Always superb service, delicious , fresh food! “We went for the first time today & it was delicious! They have healthy & fresh food & it’s very welcoming, homely, & accommodating! My daughter had the açaí bowl & my mother & I had the hamburger vegetable soup! We thoroughly enjoyed! Will be back again!“

“Had lunch here with my daughter, and the food was delicious and the service was outstanding! I ordered the Ballstonian sandwich with a pot of Irish breakfast tea. Our server was kind and attentive and everything was excellent. Can't wait to come back and try something else on the menu!“

“They were super busy and still paid attention to us as soon as we walked through the door. They were quick and everything was great. The quiche was super good and they made sure my kid's food came quickly so he had no reason to whine lol perfect Saturday brunch spot!“

“I had a lovely intimate lunch with the owner preparing me a delicious omelette and a tomato salad. Highly recommend giving Richard free rein to prepare you “something” around your preferences and dietary restrictions if it’s slow. Ask him about his life and talk to him about world events.“

“First timer visit on a family members recommendation. Four star food and service so that is impressive. Five stars for the gal who greeted and seated our seven member party. She was super nice beyond what you can reasonablly expect these days. The french toast was good. The italian toast, bacon and egss were also solid. The standout was the potatos served with the eggs. Cooked to perfection and tasty to boot. Everyone enjoyed the food. The coffee was just okay but it was hot. My only objection was that the place had a smell to it that indicated it might not be regularly cleaned. My wife noticed it as well. Still, in an era where a good breakfast place is increasingly hard to find we overlooked this and the greeter and the food made up for it. Check it out for yourself.“

“My husband and I went there this evening for Valentines dinner. We have been there for her amazing breakfasts and have ordered her take out pot pies and WOW, we were not disappointed with our amazing dinner. I had the Eggplant and my husband had the Filet. Warm and cozy atmosphere- just perfect!!“

“Nice to get a waffle that is actually cooked here as compared to frozen ones. Good coffee. A little pricey, but I guess most places are these days. $19 for a waffle with side of 2 sausage links and coffee. Maple syrup offered for an additional 2 or 3 bucks can't remember.“
