“Great family run take out place. It has been in Kent for decades. Love to get the Combo Plates for dinner, Sesame Chicken (or whatever entree you want) with egg roll and fried rice for $10.50, really great food! You can replace the fried rice in the combo with Lo Mein for $2…so $12.50 and you’re stuffed, great big portions! It’s really the only restaurant in Kent that I like. Very friendly and family run staff. I’ve lived a bunch of places that have the best Chinese food in the US…tried literally dozens of take out places…Shanghai rates in the top 3 of them for me. “So many Asian restaurants overly sweeten their food to make it more appealing; the Golden Wok doesn’t do this - instead they provide great flavor and texture in their dishes. Delicious.

On top of that, have a food allergy that many restaurants do not take seriously. The folks here did, which made my experience with them much more enjoyable, not having to worry about going into anaphylaxis.
