“Visiting my childhood home town from Boston. Childhood friend and I drove by Bayview Kitchen on our way home. Initially thought it was a kitchen reno store then realized it was a restaurant. Decided to try. Always up for adventure. What a WOW! Staff from entry to restraunt were warm and friendly. Love the decor sleek and so clean. Service was great. Now the important part..the food. We both had the j*** chicken tostada which was super delicious. Ingredients were so fresh.. Right amount of spice and ingredients with a nice kick. Got a chance to speak with owner and chef. They were so proud of their restaurant and looking to hear our thoughts on our meal. We told them it was extra special. They are looking to provide fresh quality soul food to the community and I would say they exceeded our expectations. Wishing them success and looking to return on my next visit to Amityville. The outside stone work decor is so beautiful. Thank you for a great food experience. Give this place a try I believe you will not be disappointed.”

“My brother and I were craving a real bagel so we set out to try finding a nice place and grab a half dozen. He remembered “ Poppy’s bagels”. The staff were very nice and attentive. It’s a nice cozy place and well cared for. Clean and we definitely will be new customers of theirs. The bagels were delicious and fresh, even stopping at 1:30 in the afternoon. I was very impressed. Great job and wish you great continued success in Amityville. See you guys soon. Thank you.”

“This is a great spot. Great service and everything on the menu is delicious. I go here regularly and am never disappointed. The sushi is so good and always tastes fresh and delicious. The other menu items are just as good! Chicken Katsu is so crispy and juicy. Even the miso soup is just better than anywhere else. I love this place.”

“Love the family owned restaurant. A true culinary masterpiece. roppongi sushi has such fresh and tasty food. Top Japanese quality. Sushi chef Bendy makes every piece absolutely delicious. The sushi rice is perfectly balanced with the seafood. A true hidden gem.”

“When I 1st started going here it was just a deli. Now they serve hot food and sell almost every household essential. The service is great, friendly and it's family run! ALL the food is delicious!!!”

I have to tell you that the hero’s were delicious and the wings were some of the best I’ve had!! Christine was very sweet and responsive, and made the ordering process very easy. “Stopped by unexpectedly to grab a drink (i got a horchata) and ended up coming back an hour later for lunch. Im not even a big fan of horchata but this one was the best I’ve ever had. The food was also top tier and everything was so affordable!! A new favorite. Also- i think this place also goes by yessenias deli for some reason? It pops up on google maps by both names. The lady working didn’t seem to speak much English but she was super lovely and we managed to communicate just fine. Great service and good food ?”

I bought a chopped cheese toasted and French fries it was good. The closest you will get to authentic city chopped cheese like Harlem or Brooklyn. Living on long island it’s hard to find a Quality, chopped cheese. I will go to this location again I ordered in person . Give them a try great service. 5 stars”

“I've been going here for more than 14 years, they fed me throughout my pregnancy and my entire adulthood and adolescence lol. They have delicious food and their sons are kool and the dad (owner) is always on the grill cooking or overseeing everything. The wife is improving her bedside manner but can be nice and has actually shown she can be a nice person ?? but as I said great food, not bad prices and good location”

“The pupusas are the best pupusas I've had around this area. They are fresh every time. Their fried chicken is also great. The place is clean and the people who work here are very nice and polite.”

“I was in the mood for a beef patty and just so happened to be in those neck of the woods. My mom had esciviche fish and a side of cabbage, and I had a medium jerk chicken with rice and peas with cabbage along with 2 mild beef patties. In addition we bought 2 drinks as well. Came to about $48 in total. Fish was well seasoned and tender. Chicken was jerking as it should be, and the beef patty was hot temperature-wise and tasted fresh. Also, the service personnel had a pleasant demeanor and gave a decent portion size.”
