“After he created an awesome cake for my son’s birthday, I went back to Michael at Pure Sugar to order a custom cake for party my Union’s local threw for our members. The cake was gorgeous, all night long people took pictures of the cake. In addition to being beautiful, it was absolutely delicious. Many guests commented that the cake tasted even better than it looked. Pure Sugar exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back for more!!!“

“Great little local ice cream shop! We stopped in on an unseasonably hot October day to get cones. Rainbow sherbet and chocolate chocolate chip both hit the spot.Good value for the cones and the ice cream was good. One thing I wish they had would be tables or benches.Kid-friendliness: A very kid friendly establishment, although there’s no customer bathroom inside or seating.“

“Tried their red velvet cake with NO EGGS! Simply put, it was amazing! Very enjoyable, and I will be visiting again. This is an example of what happens when vendors are nice to people because they are customers and not judging them based upon prejudices. After trying their red velvet cake, I might be trying a few other items.“

“I ordered a Barbie themed cake and gluten free cupcakes for my daughter's 5th bday and the flavors were incredible! The Barbie cake was strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream filling with vanilla frosting while the gluten-free cupcakes, which I refuse to share with anyone, were a chocolate cupcake with cannoli filling and almond frosting. “Brian designed our dream cake for our October Friday the 13th wedding. We went in with some ideas, bits and pieces from multiple photos and what was created blew our minds. Everyone was speechless when it came out. Aside from the delicious taste of the cake itself the details and time that was poured into it is one that we truly appreciate and love. We been to the shop multiple times before the wedding just to grab some goodies because everything is tasty and above the typical/traditional desserts you’d expect. Highly recommended bakery for sure.“

“Carvel ice cream cakes bring out the childhood nostalgia in me!I did not spend much time in store but the older gentleman who attended to me was super helpful. He made suggestions for best results before serving and offered to decorate the cake further for us.The cake was as I remembered and I was transported back to my childhood and savoured each mouthful.Carvel has my heart!“

“Emily did an outstanding job making cookies in the shape of sailboats for my daughter n laws baby shower. Not only did the cookies resemble the sailboat on the invitations they also tasted delicious. Emily was so helpful and answering all my questions. “i normally don't leave reviews but they were so so sweet, fantastic customer service and the man who decorated the cake was very efficient and did a beautiful job. unfortunately i wasn't carrying cash on me to leave a tip, they don't take tips on card just a heads up!! so i went back to my car and grabbed whatever i had & went back in. like seriously lovely people thanks guys didn't catch ur names“

“Vins is a great mom and pop bakery owned by the same family that owned the best ever bakery. A few years back, the son vin took over and vamped it up a little.They offer some delicious cakes, pasties, and baked goods. The seven layer and mouse cakes are our favorite.They also have some great coffee at a nice price.They have monthly specials that feature certain cakes, loafs, and coffee.Everyone who works here is super nice and helpful.Overall, it's a nice wholesome bakery to try if you're in the area.“

“Stopped in today for some dessert after a quick, casual dinner in town. Lots of choices of cookies, pastries and cakes.We ordered a Yellow cake with chocolate frosting that was very good. They also offered to customize a message on the cake.Fresh and the icing was not too sweet.Friendly service, Clean.We would stop by again when craving some fresh baked cake, YUM.“

“This was my second visit to this adorable shop. The displays are always filled with delightful treats and an amazing variety. Last time, we sampled one of each of their macarons. Perfection. From the feet on the macarons to the light but flavorful fillings, we knew we had to return for more treats. This visit the macaron shelf was filled with small individual cakes. We could not resist. We tried the carrot cake and red velvet cakes and I opted for a black and white cookie as well. Service was fast and the ladies at this shop are very amicable. I appreciate and value good service and this location is top notch. The store is clean and they have a drink station also. We will most definitely be coming back again. I just have to try the spritz cookies. I would like to perhaps get an assortment to try one of each.“

“Best bakery I have found in years. A dying breed in the city, and a jewel on the island. Friendly, engaging staff and a wonderful fragrance greet you upon entering. Large variety of delicious cakes, pastries, cookies and rolls. All tied up in a box with that same string. Most delicious black and white cookies I have tasted. “Went here with my daughter for a rainy day cappuccino. The original place we wanted to go to had an open yet. Spiga Bakery is cute and stylish. It's a bakery (with loaves made in house) and sells real bakery goods, and even pizza. Would definitely return there. I only wish I had real cups and saucers rather than just to-go cups. The lack of ceramic cups gave the bakery a fast food feel, but would still revisit the location.“
